RESEARCH TOPIC/TITLE:
A Quantitative Analysis on the Attendance and Punctuality of SHS students
based on their Classroom Schedule

A. Description of the Project

1. Background of the study

School start times play a crucial role in students' daily routines and have a
significant impact on their timeliness and attendance. Regular attendance and
punctuality are essential for academic success, as consistent engagement in
class is necessary for understanding the content. When students arrive at school
after the designated time, they are considered late.

According to Vukovic (2021), starting school early can lead to students being
late, which can irritate teachers and disrupt their learning. Teachers sometimes
have to repeat missed lessons for late students. Early start times also contribute
to students' lack of sleep, which affects their behavior in the classroom and can
have a negative impact on their academic success. Determining the ideal school
start times is a topic of ongoing debate, considering factors such as students'
sleep cycles, transportation logistics, and extracurricular activities

attendance and punctuality. Specifically, this study sought to answer the

1.4 Methodology
The study is a quantitative study all throughout the process. The research
has been structured according to the principles of the statistical analysis. This
statistical analysis aims to understand the school start times in the attendance
and punctuality. The research was related to the attendance and punctuality of
the students.
B. Research Project Duration
This research will run for 6 School Months that is equivalent to 1 full semester.
