I.

Introduction
1.1 Overview

After a few weeks of searching , I was really lucky to find an position as a product
executive intern at Ivivu company , directly communicating with suppliers about the
company’s product. I discovered this job on Topcv website . During three months
internship at this company , I learned a lot of valuable lessons ( from September , 2023
to November 30, 2023).

This is an oppoturnity for me to manipulate my knowledge that I have learned at school


in the real working environment. Besides, I could learn more skills thorough this
internship from the supervisor and my colleagues .

1.2 Objective for this internship

1.2.1. Apply skills and major’s knowledge have learned in university into the
working environment:

Ability to work in a group is a minimum requirement that everyone should have. The
internship is a great opportunity for me to access a real working environment. While
studying in the university, I used to study many office computer skills , this is a chance to
practice and enhance my skill as much as possible.

1.2.2 Learn more skills after finished the internship:

After finished the internship , I want to develop my negation skills , analysis and
diagnosis skills . These skills are very important to be a success and get more
opportunities for my career . With negotiation skill , it will help me communicate
effectively to reach an agreement between two or more parties. With analys and
diagnostic skills which will help me to envision the best response to a situation and the
ability to identify key variables in a situation.

1.2.3 Learn about company’s culture:


Company culture is the foundation of every business .Every company has a different
working culture, the same goes for IVIVU. At company, the dress culture is very
comfortable but must be discreet and historical. Behavior and communication at work
must also be orderly, I want to learn more about how to behave properly with people who
are older and have higher positions than me in the company.

CHAPTER II : ORGANIZATION

I.1 Company information :

Established in 2010, iVIVU.com is a member of TMG Vietnam Group with more than 20
years of experience in the field of Tourism - Hospitality. Continuously growing strongly
over the years, iVIVU.com is currently the leading OTA in Vietnam in the high-end
segment with a system of about 2,500 hotels in Vietnam and more than 30,000
international hotels.

Currently the company has 3 branches :

2.3. Business Activity :

IVIVU.com – an online hotel booking system, providing optimal solutions to help users
search and book rooms with an instant confirmation and reservation system, diverse
payment methods, and customer care services. Along with the hotel system, iVIVU.com
has developed tours , flight tickets and tickets segment that is carefully selected in both
quality and price.

IVIVU.com serves global customers, especially Southeast Asia, including organizations,


companies, units, and individuals who need to go on business trips, conferences, visit
people, travel, medical treatment, etc.

In addition, iVIVU.com provides free hotel management system (Property Management


System - PMS) for small and medium hotels; Extranet network for large hotels and high-
end resorts inside and outside Vietnam.

2.5. Mission of iVIVU website :

IVIVU found that the number of hotels with 3 stars or less in Vietnam is about 7,000, but
only 400-500 of them have online room distribution services, so the potential for this
business model is still very large. International visitors from Wotif's 19 markets and the
number of more than 80,000 visitors to Vietnam through Thien Minh every year will be
iVIVU.com's customers.

IVIVU.com's goal is to make a difference in service quality including faster booking,


confirmation, and payment speeds than competitors and 24-hour/day customer service,
answering any questions.

CHAPTER III : JOB DESCRIPTION :


During my internship, I was appointed by the company to the position of entertainment
ticket executive . In this position, I am responsible for two main tasks. The first task, I am
responsible for managing the system, updating sales content, prices, and policies from
suppliers. The second task is to ensure the accuracy of data, information, images, and
presentations on the website. Besides, increasing learning and attending meetings to
grasp and supplement knowledge about The company and the products the company is
implementing are extremely important to me because it will help me better understand
my current job, know how to deploy and arrange work appropriately to complete
assigned role well .

3.1 Positon roles in the company :

3.1.1. Daily mission :

Every day, I am assigned the task of editing images and selecting beautiful photos to post
on the company's website to advertise the company's products.

Every day, the manager will send me an image file and ask me to edit the images and
choose the most beautiful and eye-catching images to post as advertisements for the
product. This helps increase purchases from customers, as well as help create
professionalism for the company's product website. For this job, basic image editing
skills and a little aesthetic sense are required to be able to evaluate and select beautiful
and suitable photos for the product to stimulate customer choice products, contributing to
boosting the company's sales.

Besides, updating and editing information is also very important. Every day, I regularly
check each number and information as well as the article of each product. This job
requires a lot of patience and care. Even a small error can cause the company to suffer
losses and lose customer trust. For an intern like me, I feel that the company assigning
such an important responsibility makes me feel the company's appreciation for me and
the pride in myself when the company trusts me.

3.1.2. Team building :


Building solidarity within the group is very important. By consistently participating in
team meetings, as well as meeting and greeting other departments within the company, it
helps improve my ability to communicate with everyone and create trust and confidence
among everyone. . In addition, the manager was also very kind to create a welcome party
to connect me with everyone in the group. This helps me easily get along with everyone
and makes me feel comfortable and welcomed when working here.

3.1.3. Challenges and difficulties at work :

Although I am now used to my job, I still sometimes encounter difficulties and


challenges while working. Because the nature of the job is communication and
information processing, the manager cannot always help me solve difficulties at work. At
this time, I have to research the job by myself through searching to overcome barriers at
work . It helps me become more independent and appreciated. In addition , I always have
to work with numbers, concentrating hard and carefully reviewing to achieve accuracy
also costs me a lot of time and effort. Not only that, to integrate with people and the
workplace environment. I always have to be careful with what I say and follow the rules
when communicating with people.

3.1.4 . The experience I accumulated through my internship :

Through dedicated guidance and constantly pushing me to learn from the manager. I
personally feel much more mature than before I interned. I feel like I have gradually
gained experience in my work through self-study and independence. Adapting to the
working environment and teamwork helps me increase my communication ability
significantly. Now, from an introverted person who rarely communicates with people
around me, I can easily adapt and communicate with others.

Chapter IV. Problem of the company

4.1 . Matter identification


Vietnam's tourism industry has grown strongly over the past two decades. In 2020, the
economy was heavily impacted by the Covid-19 epidemic. In that general picture,
Vietnamese tourism also faces development challenges. However, according to General
Statistics Office of Vietnam , in 2022 revenue from accommodation and food services in
9 months is estimated to reach 430.9 trillion VND, an increase of 54.7% over the same
period last year; Travel tourism revenue is estimated at 18.2 trillion VND, an increase of
294.9. The potential for developing Vietnam's tourism industry is still great, but there are
also many difficulties. Realizing the attractive growth momentum of the Vietnamese
market, many international travel companies have quickly entered the market.

4.2. Issue Analysis :

4.2.1. Competitive analysis kkday :

Competition in business is competition or rivalry between companies selling similar


products or targeting the same target audience to get more sales, increase revenue and
gain more market share with other companies.
KKday is an intermediary e-commerce platform that helps connect local tours and
tourists around the world.

Currently, KKday is providing more than 10,000 itineraries and independent travel
services in 500 cities, 80 countries across 5 continents, attracting more than 4 million
customers and thousands of orders each month.

Kkday's experiential travel services and activities :

Kkday is a travel commerce platform offering a variety of travel services for individuals
and groups, including internet, train tickets, sightseeing, and local experiences. It offers
preferential prices and collaborates with airlines and major hotel booking sites to support
users.

Kkday offers various travel services for tourists, including activities, tickets, experiences,
tours, and transportation. Activities include thrilling outdoor activities, while experiences
include signature experiences, cuisine, nightlife, spa, DIY classes, shopping, and events.
Transportation services include train tickets, buses, WiFi, and hotels.

4.2.2. Competition between Kkday and Ivivu:

4.2.2.1. Compare the strengths of both applications :

Currently, Ivivu's direct competitor is Kkday. Compared to Ivivu, Kkday is a global


travel application site and has been around for a long time, so Kkday's travel areas are
always more global than domestic compared to Ivivu, especially in the area of
entertainment tickets. However, that does not mean that Ivivu cannot compete with its
rival, Kkday. If talking about Kkday, it is a strong global travel application site, and their
customer base is broader than Ivivu, which is both foreign and domestic tourists, then
Ivivu is a domestic application site that focuses more on domestic tourism.

The fact that Ivivu is a domestic application helps them easily grasp and develop
Vietnamese tourism, as well as give customers the best experiences about Vietnam,
which is the biggest strength that a global application can hardly have. achieved, and in
addition, cooperation between Vietnamese and Vietnamese people will be easier than
Kkday, an application from abroad investing in Vietnam's tourism industry.

Ivivu has long developed its success in hotel and restaurant chains through application
software development with their partners. Through that, they can easily have large and
small domestic hotel and restaurant partners, as well as manage this service more
effectively than Kkday. Not only that, Ivivu is also constantly developing additional
products such as the entertainment ticket segment that Ivivu has been continuously
developing recently.
From comparing the strengths of both travel applications, we can see that both Ivivu and
Kkday have their own strengths in their products. Kkday is a global application; they
easily grasp and understand the psychology of foreign customers better than Ivivu.
Promoting their products and getting their products into the hands of foreign tourists is
easier than with a domestic app like Ivivu. But Ivivu is no less competitive and loses in
terms of capturing domestic tourism more easily than KKday. Ivivu can easily cooperate
in tourism development with domestic partners; besides, their contact and grasp of
domestic customer psychology are also better than Kkday. They have developed their
own chain of hotel and restaurant management applications, something that Kkday has
not been able to do until now.
4.2.2.3 . Compare the strengths of both applications :
However, it is not enough to talk about the strengths of Kkday and Ivivu. We should also
analyze and review the strengths of both applications to get a more general view.
Kkday is a global application and a foreign application; the fact that their products will be
general and not too elaborate in details will be the biggest weakness of this application.
So their ability to capture culture, heritage, and beautiful scenery, as well as typical local
eateries, will not be as good as Ivivu. Besides, receiving incentives from the government
for Vietnamese tourism businesses will also not be equal. From there, the price and profit
of each product will also be different.
Ivivu is a domestic travel application site, so it will be more difficult for them to advertise
their brand to foreign tourists than Kkday. In addition, the fact that Ivivu only grasps
domestic trends will also limit their ability to serve and grasp the psychology of foreign
tourists worse than KKday. It will be difficult for them to develop products that reach out
globally, like KKDay.
From analyzing the above two weaknesses, we can see that KKday is a foreign
application, so their development of tourism in Vietnam in terms of specificity will not be
equal to Ivivu. However, it will be difficult for Ivivu to develop globalized products as
well as advertise and introduce products to foreign tourists.
4.2.3. Conclusion of competition between KKday and Ivivu :
KKDay is a foreign application site; they have strengths in capturing global travel trends
and easily reaching travel customers. KKday has also been developing their
entertainment ticket segment for a long time, a typical product feature that KKday can
take to compete with other travel applications. However, KKday's association with
domestic partners will be limited because they have not optimized the interaction with
their domestic partners. Not having a good grasp of their culture and unique local
locations will also create a major flaw in the specificity of the tourism product.
Ivivu is a domestic application; it is easier to reach domestic tourists than KKDay. The
fact that they are a domestic application site means that their close and systematic links
with domestic partners will be their strength. Grasping the culture and characteristics of
each locality will contribute to creating the uniqueness of their products. They can easily
dig deeper and develop their products more thoroughly. However, their limitation on
foreign tourists is a major weakness. Being able to promote and capture the psychology
of foreign tourists will be a big challenge.
4.3. Solutions for Ivivu :
About technology:
Tourism information activities on Ivivu's website need to be organized in a synchronous
and unified manner, from management agencies to each business. Tourism information
products and services need professionalism, coordination, and data exchange between
units. Ivivu's promotional work needs to be planned on a large scale to make it easier for
customers to easily access it. Data needs to be stored systematically and according to a
certain standard.
About the products of businesses:
Ivivu needs impressive and distinctive products to collect attracts tourists.. Currently, the
travel trend of tourists is gradually changing, traveling not only to enjoy beautiful scenery
but also to combine with other purposes such as charity tourism, medical tourism, sports
tourism, etc.
A typical example is that Vietnam tourism really lacks impressive and unique products to
attract customers. Vietnam has hundreds of traditional craft villages scattered across the
country, but it is very difficult for international tourists to find a "Made in Vietnam"

reputation for quality and competitiveness in the regional and international markets.
Additionally, we can better satisfy client needs if our goods and services are of a high
caliber. Customers frequently just focus on the stain; image trying to build a white wall

Regarding spending money on market research and picking target markets :

primary market data must be high enough.
Distribution strategy, communication, promotional promotion :

To create strength for Vietnamese tourism businesses, it is necessary to create favorable
policies from the state.
