 The Delhi government will be sending
elderly pilgrims for Jagannath Puri Yatra in
Odisha under its free pilgrimage scheme.
 Two trains under the ‘Mukhyamantri Tirth
Yatra Yojna’ carrying the elderly pilgrims
will leave for the yatra.
 Mission Kushal Karmi was launched by
Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish
Sisodia, in association with the Delhi
Building & Other Construction Workers
Welfare Board and Delhi Skill &
Entrepreneurship University on July 6,
2022 to improve the skills of construction
workers.
 Mission Kushal Karmi programme has
been started with the objective of providing
Delhi
on-the-job skill development training to
around 2 lakh registered construction
workers in a year.
 Training would be provided for 15 days or
120 hours at their workplaces.
 During the training period, government will
also compensate for the wage loss.
 Government will provide all the
construction workers an amount of Rs
4,200 each.
 In order to prevent drop-outs after two
years when COVID-19 has disrupted the
teaching and learning process, the Tripura
state’s Education department will again
launch the ‘go to school’ programme with a
new scheme ‘earn with learn’.
 The department will conduct
comprehensive door-to-door surveys to
Tripura identify children out of school by engaging
third year or final year college students.
 The Education department had already
sent letters to all principals of government
degree colleges to enroll their final year
interested students for the survey and if
any college student able to bring a drop-out
student into their school, then he or she will
get about Rs. 500 per student.

 The police app is an integrated version of
five online services such as Gaura Shakti,
traffic eye, public eye, Meri Yatra and
Lakshya Nasha Mukt Uttarakhand,
provided by the State police.
 All the online services provided by the
State police to the public have been
integrated in the Uttarakhand police app.
 The emergency number 112 and cyber
helpline number 1930 have also been
connected to this app.
August 2022
 The Chhattisgarh Women Commission is
goint to organise ‘Mukhyamantri Mahtari
Nyay Rath Yatra’ to make the women of
the state aware of their constitutional rights
and laws.
 The chariots will travel in all the districts
and make people aware about the legal

messages and brochures.
 With the aim of spreading legal awareness
among women, Mukhyamantri Mahtari
Nyay Rath is being commenced on the
occasion of Hareli Tihaar.
 Haryana government recently launched the
“Chief Minister Equal Education Relief,
Assistance and Grant (Cheerag)” scheme.
 Under the Cheerag scheme, government
school students whose parents have an
annual verified income of less than Rs 1.8

Class II to XII.
 The government will reimburse Rs 700 per
student from Classes II to V, Rs 900 per
student from Classes VI to VIII, and Rs
1,100 per student from Classes IX to XII.
 The Telangana government has tied up
with Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of
India for the ‘Nethanna Beema’ scheme to
provide economic assurance to handloom
and power loom weaver families.
 The scheme will provide Rs 5 lakh

insurance cover to the families of weavers
in case of the unfortunate demise of an
eligible beneficiary.
 The state department of handlooms and
textiles is the nodal agency for its
implementation.

 Sikkim Chief Minister P S Tamang on the
occasion of the 75th anniversary of the
country's Independence and announced
the launch of 'Aama Yojana' and 'Vatsalya
Yojana' schemes for the welfare of women
in the mountain state.
 Under Aama Yojana, all unemployed
mothers in the state will recieve Rs 20,000
annually which will be deposited in their
bank accounts.
 Under the Vatsalya Yojana, an aid of Rs
three lakh will be provided to childless
women for in vitro fertilization treatment.
 Vatsalya Yojana will cover women in
government jobs through the health
department and others through Chief
Minister's Medical Assistance.
 The financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh for
IVF treatment will be given in two phases -
Rs 1 lakh in the first and Rs 2 lakh in the
second and last phase.
 The Uttar Pradesh government is drafting
its ‘services export’ policy to woo private
investors and earn foreign exchange. The
proposed policy will accord priority to key
services sectors of medical value travel,
tourism, IT/ITeS, logistics and education.
 These 12 sectors comprise IT/ITeS,
Uttar Pradesh tourism and hospitality, medical value
travel, transport and logistics, accounting
and finance, audio visual, legal,
communication, construction, engineering,
environmental, financial and education.
 The state was targetting to increase
merchandise exports to almost Rs 3 trillion
in the next three years.
 Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) and NITI
Aayog will establishing more than 500 Atal
Tinkering Labs (ATLs) in Jammu and
Kashmir to nurture an innovative mind-set
among high school students.
 The AIM is establishing more than 500 labs
in J&K schools in the next few years to
promote an innovative and creative
mindset among J&K students, with the aim
to encourage young minds in the field, and
challenge students to become producers of
products themselves instead of consumers.
 Odisha launched Startup Odisha Yatra 2.0
a flagship initiative of Startup Odisha.

 It will provide entrepreneurial exposure to

 The Andhra Pradesh government entered
into a memorandum of understanding with
US-based environmental organisation
Parley for the Oceans to make Andhra
Pradesh plastic-free by 2027.
Andhra Pradesh  As part of the MoU, Parley will set up its
recycling Super Hub and Future Institute in
the state, most likely in Visakhapatnam.
 The initiatives will attract 16,000 crore
investment to AP besides providing
employment to about 20,000 people.
 The Chhattisgarh government is eyeing
subsidies on the vermicompost produced in
the state under the Godhan Nyay Yojana.
 The move was necessary as the state
government predicted a surge in demand
besides helping villagers to get more return
Chhattisgarh from producing vermicompost using cow
dung. Chhattisgarh has started procuring
cow dung under its Godhan Nyay Yojana
launched in 2020.It has been the first time
in the country and the world that the state
government is purchasing cow dung by
paying sellers Rs 2 per kilogram.
