 Delhi government launched A project to set
up ‘Hobby Hubs’ in government schools in
Delhi with after-school dance, music, arts
and crafts activities during this new
Delhi academic session is in the works. The idea
is to make optimum use of school
infrastructure and to use it after school
hours to promote these extracurricular
activities.

 The Maharashtra Department of Prisons
has launched a loan scheme for inmates
serving sentences in jails across the state.
 The credit scheme titled Jivhala is being
offered by the Maharashtra State
Cooperative Bank.
 The pilot was introduced for prisoners at
Maharashtra Yerawada Central Jail in Pune, and will
gradually be extended to nearly 60 prisons
across the state.
 In the initial phase, a loan of Rs 50,000 will
be given at a 7 per cent interest rate. Of the
interest the bank earns, one per cent will be
given back to the system as a contribution
to the Prisoners’ Welfare Fund.
 Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar
launched a Vehicle Movement Tracking
System (VMTS) mobile app that will help in
tracking vehicles carrying sand and other
mining material.

 The Delhi government launched the ‘Delhi
Film Policy 2022’ aiming to make Delhi a
global destination for film production and
promote tourism, speaking on the occasion,
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said
the policy “will create massive employment
and economic development opportunities in
Delhi along with attracting tourists to the
Capital.”
 This interactive programme is aimed at
Punjab providing a single-window platform to the
people for redressal of their complaints.

 In Rajasthan, a Special Health Care
Abhiyan 'Anchal' has been launched in the
Karauli district for pregnant women.
 This unique campaign was started to
ensure all necessary medical aid to
pregnant women at the pre and post-natal
stage so that maternal and infant mortality
Rajasthan rates could be reduced.
 Under this campaign, it is also ensured that
the Auxiliary Nurse Midwife and ASHA
workers in the district will keep in constant
contact with the pregnant women of their
respective areas and provide them with
necessary counseling and treatment as and
when required.
 Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a
scheme on maternal
nutrition,“Mukhyamantri Matrushakti
Yojana”, in Gujarat on 19 June 2022, at an
outlay of ₹800 crore.
 Pregnant and lactating mothers will be
given 2 kg of chickpeas, 1 kg of tur dal and
1 kg of edible oil free of cost every month
from anganwadi centres.
 It offers one nutritious meal a day to
pregnant and lactating women.
 To improve job opportunities and provide
practical training, the Ministry of Skill
Development and Entrepreneurship
(MSDE) organized the Pradhan Mantri
National Apprenticeship Mela across 10
districts in Odisha.
