Special spooky edition
Week 8

Happy Friday the 13th! Hope you all enjoyed your fall break and were
able to spend lots of quality time with your amazing kiddos!

I sure did miss them! But it was nice to spend some time relaxing and
unwinding after a very busy first two months of school!

But, I welcome you all back to school as we started conference week this
past week.
Friday the 13th is a day that reminds me to try new things and take risks.

I wish you all a happy Friday the 13th and a wonderful weekend!!! Do
something fun and adventurous, if you dare ! 

Can you spot the 30 differences between the two pictures

Since we came back from Fall Break this week, a new month is here
since last we were together. Welcome October! We have a couple
of new students who we have welcomed into our classroom. We also
welcome their families into our classroom family as well! We have a
new classroom paraprofessional as well!

With all the new things happening, it is a reminder to reflect on

what we have accomplished and what we are looking forward to this
school year. Also, soon, we will start having our students push into
General Education classrooms for short periods each day for
mainstreaming experiences!

I am very excited for these opportunities and all the fun stuff that
lies ahead of us! I hope you are too!

This month, each student will receive from me a copy of one of my favorite
children’s books of all times. It came out the year I was in Kindergarten and I
loved hearing it all throughout the month of October and I would read it to my son
every day in October until he became too old for me to read to him and that book
is: The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams.

It is a riveting tail of suspense for children, with a surprise ending that will knock
your socks off.
Look for it to arrive in their backpacks very soon!
We have been working on scissor skills and cut and paste skills as well as listening,
following directions, and play skills every single day. The students are getting
better at learning to utilize their words and/or communication devices to ask for
things and communicate what they want and/or need!
