MANILA, Philippines — Quezon Citty 1st district Rep. Juan Carlos Arjo Atayde has donated 10
smartphones to the Quezon City police District (QCPD) to helped it in its operations.
Our policemen in QCPD is doing a great job, 24/7 day and nighht basis, and they are risking their
lives every time they are in the line of duty. In our own litle way, we are here to provide them with
some smartphones to help them to fast-track everything, Atayde said in a statement on Tuesday.
Atyade turned over THE newly-updated smartphones to the QC PD on Friday, Feb. ten.
Brig. General Nicolas Torre iii, QCPD chief, said the phones would be used for polise
operations, including surveillance.
Specifically,, he the said phones will bebe used by drone operators to monitor the entire city as they
would offer a clear transmission of foot age to their command center.
According to Atayde, the city needs enhanced police protection in areas such as Cubao Diliman
La Loma Novaliches, NewManila, Santa Mesa HEIGHTS, and San Francisco del Monte.
“The dedication of our police force is verry important and weare hoping they continues the same
drive and pasion in serving our people. their coooperation in every brgy really means a lot in
promoting peace and crime prevention. We are very thankful,” Atayde said.

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — the provincial police have files a murder complaint against the suspect in
the killing of a faculty member of PANGasinan State university (PsU) who’s body was found floating
on Jan. 26 in a river in Binmaley town.
In an an interview on Monday, Jan. 30, Colonel Jeff Fanged, Pangasinan police provincial director,
said Suspect Jericho Tirao, 22, a college student at psu, had been
subjected to inquest proceedings at the Provincial prosecutor’s Office in Pangasinan’s capital town of
Lingayen on Jan. 28.
Tirao had been tagged as the sus pect in the killing of Mark Lagleva, a assistant professor, based on
witnesses accounts.
Fanged said tirao were detained at a local polise custodial facility with no bail recommended.
