Bincangkan juga peranan KSSR - KSSM serta dasar sukan negara dan kokurikulum KPM.

Dasar-dasar kerajaan dalam Pendidikan

To achieve the status of a developed nation, Malaysia needs not only a quality education
curriculum for the purpose of producing knowledgeable, skilled, dignified human capital, but also
a healthy and vibrant human capital to enhance the country's productivity in order to remain
competitive internationally ( Educational Policy Planning and Research Division, 2006).

The Ministry of Education Malaysia has taken steps to make it a mandatory core subject at all
levels of the school through the Education Act 1996 (Act 550). Ministry of Education Malaysia
also published Circular Letter No.3 / 1979; Num.2 / 1988; Num.17 / 1998; Nos.25 / 1998 and
Nos. 8/1990 (Implementation of Physical Education and Health Education Subjects) aimed at
making it clear to all principals and teachers in schools that Physical Education is mandatory
during school hours. Schools are not allowed to use the time allocated for Physical Education to
teach other subjects.

• Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia telah mengambil langkah menjadikan ianya sebagai


mata pelajaran teras yang wajib di semua peringkat sekolah menerusi Akta Pendidikan
1996 (Akta 550). Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia juga telah menyiarkan Surat
Pekeliling Ikhtisas Bil.3/1979; Bil.2/1988; Bil.17/1998; Bil.25/1998 dan Bil.8/1990
(Pelaksanaan Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani dan Pendidikan Kesihatan) yang
bertujuan untuk memberi penegasan kepada semua pengetua dan guru besar di
sekolah bahawa Pendidikan Jasmani wajib dilaksanakan dalam waktu persekolahan.
Pihak sekolah dilarang menggunakan peruntukan waktu mata pelajaran Pendidikan
Jasmani untuk mengajar mata pelajaran lain.

Supports the National Philosophy of Education (FPK) whereby it helps to produce a balanced
person in terms of JERI.
In line with Dasar Sukan Negara, it is to cultivate sports in the community and to be initiated at
the school level through two strategies:
Sports for All
Sports for Excellence
Support the aspirations of a healthy, vibrant, dynamic and united Malaysia.
For the Games for Excellence, the performance of talented and potential students should
continue to be developed under the Young Talent Excellence Program, High School Sports and
other sports that the school can offer. Therefore, the participation of every student in the sport is
very important as a platform to support the aspirations of a healthy, vibrant, dynamic and united
Malaysia. This policy is in line with YAB Prime Minister's desire to uphold the spirit of Malaysia

The curriculum of the PJPK is built to meet the needs of the PJPK of nature

to uphold the spirit of Malaysia 1.
