The two bar charts illustrate the number of people living per square kilometer in six

countries in 2003 and the changes in the urban population in six countries from 2003
to 2005.

As for the number of people per square kilometer in 2003, Japan has by far the highest
gure of the six countries at just over 300. After that came Italy and the UK at just over
250 and slightly less than 200, respectively. Meanwhile, Australia, Canada, and Sweden
had much lower gures. The number for Australia showed roughly 10. The gure for
Canada has the lowest of the six countries at around 5. The number for Sweden was
slightly less than 25.

On the other hand, the growth rate of the urban population from 2003 to 2005 showed
di erent trends. Australia had the highest rate of the six countries at just over1.4%.
This was followed by Canada and Japan at slightly less than 1.4% and slightly less than
1.2% respectively. After that came Italy at slightly less than 0.4%. Sweden had by far
the lowest gure of the six countries at just under 0%. The number for the UK stood at
just over 0.2%.

In summary, Japan and Italy had a high population density, while the increase in urban
population in Australia, Canada, and Japan was high.
