Dear Sir,

This has reference to email dated 17.11.2023 enclosing letter no NMDC/MECON/NISPOP09 dated
17.11.2023 regarding the review of our recommendation forwarded vide our letter no MEC/GU / 40
/Q7QW/Oxygen Plant /02/1652 dated 06.11.2023 against request of M/s EIGL for the engagement of
M/s Shriram Enterprises as sub-contractor for providing “Skilled Technician & Un-Skilled Technician
/Helpers” manpower. In this regard it may please be noted that we have scrutinized the credentials
submitted by M/s EIGL in line with the Work Order 11.80.Q7QW/Oxygen Plant/134/16088 dated
06.10.2023.and the same was found to be in order.

As per the provisions under clause 75.0 of work order allows contractor for the engagement of sub
contractor(s) for the performance of contract with prior approval. M/s EIGL vide letter dated 18.10.2023
has submitted the credentials’ of M/s Shriram Enterprises. We have reviewed the same and found that
M/s EIGL may be allowed to engaged “Skilled Technicians and un-skilled Technicians/ Helpers “ through
M/s Shriram Enterprises and these people will work under the supervisions of Site-In charges and
Supervisors deputed by M/s EIGL having relevant experience of O&M of oxygen plant and the total
responsibility for smooth O&M shall be with M/s EIGL only.

This recommendation is without any prejudice to terms and conditions of the contract and does not
absolve M/s EIGL of their contractual responsibilities.

In view of above M/s NMDC may kingly accord the final approval of the same.

This is for further necessary action at your end.
