Sabina Victor discussed using more vocabulary exercises and critical thinking skills in English literature lessons. Dr. John Baker talked about moving away from acting like the sole authority, using more student-centered project based learning, and incorporating self-assessment. A panel discussion covered the future of English language learning, including the increasing role of translingualism and technology's impact on education systems globally and locally. The attendee had additional questions about how dominant languages can overtake in classrooms and implications of truly developing local languages for academic use.

Empowering apprenticing writing with model texts
By Dr John baker at 2:20-3:15 What I learned Stop teaching apparently , although id prefer to just teach but maybe stop acting like I know everything, consider designing and implementing more project-based learning activities that do surround the idea of editing and students using class group work and individual writing assignments as an opportunity to explore their own writing styles since you only have 72 hours apparently. Increased use of self-assessment for students maybe checks lists , make friends with Chat GPT as well but maybe not too essential until they’re in much more technology integrated classrooms.
Panel discussion the future of English language learning and teaching
At 3:30-4:00 pm What I learned had to leave early because of my brother coming early so maybe text back at him the time I need him to pick me up, since I didn’t get to do the full session, I don’t know if part of my questions were answered or not, but it was nice discussion on the future of Translingualism in classrooms for Pakistan and beyond plus how technology effects that Aswell. Although I agreed with and appreciated the points and arguments presented but I had a few counter thoughts again. For Dr Dar when talking about medium of instruction , how rote memorization, and the idea only english speaking classrooms need to be strictly followed is history now, the future is translingualism. I wanted to pose the question of how dominant languages do have a tendency to take over in classrooms and beyond as well since students who are an ethnic majority will have more an advantage over those who are minorities in this sense , next to that even in when we look at text books or readings created in local languages which may be useful to use for even english classrooms along side other classes as medium of instruction resources. Many do not reflect modern changes in linguistic pattern of change in the language or local contexts any more due t age and need updates, is actually changing the medium of instruction enough or will it be used as the catalyst to start actual development of local languages being used academically and wont the implications of this complicate things on boarder level till matriculation or intermediate.
