MA4-10NA: Uses algebraic techniques to solve linear equations including word problems
MA4-11NA: Creates and displays number patterns; graphs and analyses linear relationships
MA4-7NA: Operates with ratios and rates

Topic description:

Equations include simple linear equations, simple quadratic equations with substitution.
Linear Relationships include Cartesian plane, patterns, rules and tables of values,
graphing linearequations and solving equations as a point on graph with intersecting lines.
Rates and ratios include interpret and calculate ratios that involve more than two
numbers, solve a variety of real-life problems involving ratios, use rates to compare
quantities measured in different units, convert given information into simplified rate.

Rules:
A black or blue pen, pencil, ruler and rubber, and calculator required. You will
NOT be allowed to borrow a calculator! Please make sure you pack it the night
before.

Mathematics lesson, whichever comes first.
Revision will be assigned to you in Google Classroom.

A guide to studying:
Do a summary for each topic, using Key words, Definitions, Mind map, Things to
remember, Formulas with examples etc.
Pick 3 questions per topic or concept, write those in your Study book.
To prepare for the assessment, pick 3 questions every night that were correctly completed
in class. Write these questions on another piece of paper and complete them without
looking. Then check your solutions by comparing against the work done in your
Mathematics book and learn from your mistake. Repeat this each night.

Additional information:
The Study Guide should be hand-written double sided (no photocopying).
You can use any information in your Study Guide during the exam.
Your Study Guide will be collected by your teacher at the end of the examination.
