PROJECT: HUMAN FOLLOWING ROBOT

Introduction

Project Overview
The project involves the development of a human-following robot, a smart autonomous system designed to track
and follow a person in various environments. The robot uses a combination of sensors and advanced algorithms to
navigate and interact with its surroundings.

Purpose and Scope

The human-following robot is designed to serve as a hands-free and intuitive mobile companion, assisting
individuals in daily activities. The project encompasses the design, development, and implementation of both
hardware and software components, ensuring the robot effectively follows and responds to human movement.

Objectives

1: Create a robot capable of autonomously following a person in real-time.

2: Implement robust sensor integration for accurate environmental perception.

3: Develop efficient control algorithms for smooth and responsive motion.

4: Provide a user-friendly interface for easy interaction and control.

Hardware Components
Ultrasonic sensor

IR sensor

L298N motor driver

Motors

Power supply (12 watt)

Wires

Rubber Tyres

Acrylic sheet

TT gear motor

Servo motor

Working

Two Ultrasonic sensors which can determine the distance through sound wave.

Ultrasonic sensors relate to all 4 Tyres. Tyres are powered with 12V motors.

When the distance is less the car will move slowly, when distance increases, speed will be increased.

There is one IR (Infrared Sensor) which will control right left movement of the car by sensing Hands.

The right two motors will be engaged to turn right. And on the other hand, the left two motors will be engaged to
move left.

There is one servo motor attached to ultrasonic sensor. Servo motor can move 180 degrees.

Servo motor will move accordingly avoiding obstacles.

One Arduino Sensor is attached which is the major sensor storing the code.

Motor drive (L298N) which draws electrical energy from the source and supply it to motor so that the desired
outcome is achieved
