It follows Unilever
Framework standards comprising of 17 Elements of safety in PDCA Model and Behavioral safety systems. Our
Injury free journey was made possible through specific interventions like 100% Be-Safe training and over
100% improvement in Behavior and Hazard identification in year on year. Moving to “Safe by Design
“engineering interventions are made in risk reduction across factory and it is a continuous Process. All of this is
augmented by a comprehensive R&R scheme for the shopfloor employees to boost their morale.
In the domain of road safety, the factory has made specific interventions like Advanced driver Assistance
system, Driver management system for drivers and Employee bus compliant with seatbelt, enriched safety
features like auto door closure, black box, and cameras. We have provided defensive driving training to not just
everyone working in the factory but also covered all truck drivers entering the factory through the module-
based training on Loviglobal App.

Visible “Felt” leadership: The leaders demonstrate high level of safety leadership. The Factory manager
demonstrates his commitment through “Living a day with employee” and System audits.
Safety is a business priority: Every business meeting / event starts with safety oath in which safety oath is
taken by employees before commencement of daily activity. All the safety alerts are communicated in shop
floor by stopping the production.
Friday Stop for Safety: We stop the operations for an hour across the site on every Friday to conduct a theme-
based Safety engagements across site.
Safety is driven through leading indicators: The push is on to report leading indicators proactively to prevent
any mishap from happening. Also employees are encouraged to report lagging indicators as well. The
employees are rewarded Monthly for their exemplary contribution in sustaining and improving Safety
excellence.
Digital as Key enabler: We have safety digital Gurukul for capability development. The site has adopted
more than 20 digital platforms and applications in driving safety. These Include Safety Video Analytics’ for
PPE Compliance, AR/VR capability for Emergency Preparedness and LOTO training, ePTW for work permits
etc.
ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) - This system analyses driver behavior while driving the
vehicle with self & passenger safety as paramount. This Deep learning system have 12 use case such as
Intelligent Driver monitoring system and provides real time alerts to the driver as well as his Line manager.
