Activity: Understanding Decision-Making Factors

Objective: To explore and understand the various factors involved in decision-making that
contribute to success.

Instructions: Study and analyze the decision-making factors. Afterwards, identify a


decision-making scenario (e.g., choosing a college major, selecting
extracurricular activities, etc.) and apply your understanding of decision-
making factors. Share your work with your selected partner.

Situation The context or circumstances surrounding the decision. This includes
external factors such as time constraints, resources, and potential

Activity: Senior High School Decision-Making
Challenge

Objective: Enhance decision-making, creativity, and critical thinking in seniors through


scenario-based collaboration and role-play.

Instructions: In your small groups, engage in a 10-minute decision-making scenario


involving the daily lives of senior high school students, such as choosing
extracurricular activities, selecting subjects, or planning a weekend event.
Consider available information, the situation, and seek advice from each
other as More Knowledgeable Others (MKOs). Afterward, present your
decision and rationale through a 10-minute role play, emphasizing
creativity and critical thinking in justifying your choices based on the
provided factors.

Activity: Decision-Making Reflection

Objective: Make a right decision based on information, situation, and advice from a more
knowledgeable other (MKO).

Instructions: Reflect on the three components (information, situation, and advice from
a more knowledgeable other) by writing down three tips each for assessing
information reliability, understanding situations holistically, and
identifying the best MKO. Write these tips on the board and share/discuss
them with the class. Conclude with a self-reflection on recent decision-
making using the discussed insights.
