Roy Suryo's Allegations Against Vice Presidential Candidate (cawapres)

Gibran Rakabuming Raka used 3 microphones in the cawapres debate

KPU's response to Roy Suryo's criticism

The KPU called Roy Suryo a slanderer, "Spontaneous debate, it is impossible to dictate, listen
to whispers or read cheat sheets. Roy Suryo is indeed a slanderer," said Hasyim in his statement quoted,
Sunday (24/12/2023).

Hasyim explained that all vice presidential candidates use the same three microphones. This is
to anticipate if one of the microphones is not working. "All vice presidential candidates use the same
equipment. All vice presidential candidates use three mics in case the mic goes out. It's not an ear feeder.
It's a mic that is attached to the cheek and attached to the ear," he said.

Gibran Rakabuming Raka's reply to Roy Suryo's criticism

Gibran Rakabuming Raka asked the General Election Commission (KPU) to scan the
presidential and vice presidential candidate debates. Gibran Rakabuming Raka admitted that he had no
problem being examined using X-Ray.

"Yes, please go ahead before I go on stage, I'll have an X-Ray later to check so that Uncle Roy
Suryo is satisfied," said Gibran in Cirebon, West Java, Saturday (6/1/2024).

From this debate, Roy Suryo criticized Gibran Rakabuming Raka with the aim of preventing
fraud in the vice presidential debate. However, Roy's criticism had long-lasting consequences, the
Chairman of the KPU, Hasyim Asy'ari, firmly denied the accusation. Hasyim even called Roy Suryo a
slanderer. He was reported by a number of parties on suspicion of spreading fake news or hoaxes.
