HERE’S the SCOOP

Week of: JANUARY 8th - JANUARY 12TH

LOOK WHAT WE’RE LEARNING
Writing: In writing, we are nearing the end of our cereal box projects. Students have created a new cereal,
written a persuasive paragraph to entice people to buy their cereal, and designed their own cereal boxes! Ask
your child what they came up with!

Math- In math, we have continued to build our skills in fact fluency and algebra while also being exposed to
equations using parentheses. Students are getting much more comfortable solving multiplication equations!

Reading: In reading, we are progressing through our novel study and students are loving it! It’s been awesome to
see how involved they’ve been in our story and furthering their reading skills!

UPDATES/REMINDERS
1. Please be sure your child is practicing their multiplication facts at home!

2. On Friday, March 1st we will be having a Celebration of Reading in honor of Dr. Suess’s birthday. I love filling our day with
guest readers. If you are interested in coming into our classroom to read to us, please click on the link to sign up for
