GROUP 1 – STEM NOBEL

Journalism is part of our daily life. Checking our phone first thing in the morning to read latest
news and watch television news. Every individual in the world is a journalist. But how does the
medial and information literacy support quality journalism? Media and information literacy
supports journalism by spreading the journalist’s work such as stories, theories, poems, etc.
Journalism is all around us. We can find them in the library and internet.

Our poster shows the efforts focused on improving media and information literacy skills and
knowledge that will assist the public in recognizing and appreciating outstanding journalism.
Our poster also shows that journalism has wide connection in media as well as information. This
poster will help us understand how content is created. Distinguishing between facts and
opinions, understanding the role of independent media in a democratic society, or evaluating
content for truthfulness and reliability are examples of such skills, as are knowledge about
media regulation, the impact of technology on media choices, or managing personal data while
using social media services.

Overall, media information literacy is crucial in today's society since it equips people to engage
in democratic processes, make informed decisions, and critically traverse the media ecosystem.
It doesn’t matter what your race and origin, we are all the same. It is about participating
responsibly, intelligently, and actively in the digital age.
