S: Hi, Pedro. I’m going to show you to your room. What do you want to do here in Liverpool?
P: I’m looking forward to visiting the football stadium.
S: Great. Have you been here before?
P: No, it’s my first time.
S: Here’s your room. As you can see, you’ve got a study desk, wardrobe, bed and a night table.
P: Could you tell me where the bathroom is, please?
S: It’s on your right just at the end of the corridor. So here is a copy of the house rules. Read through them
and ask me later if you have any queries.
P: What time do we have to get up?
S: Breakfast starts at eight and classes at nine.
P: Are we allowed to have friends in the room?
S: No, but you can meet them in the common room. Here is the key for the room. Please, make sure you
always lock the door after you.
P: OK. What time are we meeting this evening?
S: At 7, for the welcome party downstairs, in the lounge.
P: Great! Thanks very much.

HOUSE RULES
1 The room is furnished, please refer to the inventory list. New bed linen is provided.
2 There will be a fire alarm test every Tuesday morning.
3 Girls and boys are accommodated in separate residences.
4 Please keep your room tidy. It will be cleaned every two days. Laundry is collected every Monday.
5 The main residence door will be locked at 11.30 in the evening. You must be in your room at this time.
6 Please clean up after using communal areas and respect others.
7 Smoking and consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden.
8 If you have any problem with the accommodation, please speak to the house warden.
