SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

I Believe

A blessed morning to my fellow students and to my respected teacher. Thank you for this
opportunity to speak here in our class. I am Maribeth R. Sapiter, a student here in STEM D. It's
already been 5 months since my junior high journey ended, and now I'm a STEM student here at
JILCF. I'm glad that I'm currently here. I think God planned to bring me here, to study here, and
to be with him to trust him again.

My journey as a STEM student started a few months ago. It went well, and I met a lot of
new students here. They're nice, good, and kind, and I also made new friends. My experience
being a STEM student within 4 months is so memorable. It had an intramural. I joined the Yell
Competition, and we gave our blood, sweat, and tears for that. We even lost our voice because of
that competition, but it was all worth it. We won even if we didn't like a little bit of the costume,
but we still wore it for the sake of our strand to represent our strand, and the happiest thing is that
we won the overall championships. And, being a STEM student, it's not just pure pleasure;
there's also suffering. It's not that hard, but it's tiring. Think about how many subjects we have: 2
math, 2 sciences, 3 English, 1 Filipino. It's tiring, but it's fun you are learning. Others will say,
"Solve lang naman kayo ng solve, nakapapagod ba yun?" No, it's not just about solving;
sometimes the core subjects are more difficult than major subjects. Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) aren't just about solving and experiments; they're also
about developing strong communication skills, which will make you feel like you need to be
patient, responsible, and understanding of what you're doing.

Theodore Roosevelt said, "Believe you can, and you're halfway there." Always believe
in yourself that you can; there's nothing to lose if you try, right? It's like taking the risk or losing
the chance. If you don't take the risk, nothing will happen, and you will lose the chance. Just try
and try. God got your back. Always trust and love him; he will take care of you. That's all, thank
you.
