as humans we all need the same basic things. Fresh water, clean air and healthy food. The good news is
that Earth has enough of those for all of us. The bad news is that we’ve got a few problems in the way. The
first is climate change. The fuels we burn are choking the atmosphere. We’re running out of clean, drinking
water. And all of this is changing the weather. The second problem is inequality. Some people on earth have
far more than they need and most people don’t have nearly enough. And this can lead to poverty.
luckily, we have the SDGS goals, SDGs stand for Sustainable Development Goals. They are a set of 17
global goals established by the United Nations in September 2015
The goal is to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all by the year 2030. if these
global goals are fulfilled by 2030 life on Earth will be better for everyone.
The 17 SDGs are: No poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality,
clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry,
innovation and infrastructure, reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, Responsible
consumption and production, climate action, life below water, life on land, peace and justice and strong
institutions, partnerships for the goals.
To achieve these goals we all have to do our part, governments, businesses and Society too, in other words
each and every one of us. We should try to live in a more sustainable way at school, work and home. For
example: turn off the lights if you don't need them, you'll save a lot of energy. Aso you must recycle as many
materials as possible, this will help to conserve natural resources. finally Donating things you no longer need,
like clothes or books, is an easy way to help others who are in need.
Don't forget that this planet is our home, by taking care of it, and each other, and share what we produce
fairly and sustainably, we'll ensure our well-being and our future.
