➢ An adverbial phrase (or adverb phrase) is a group of words that acts as an adverb to
modify the main clause of a sentence.. so, in a few words the function of adverbs
and adverbs phrases are the same modify the main clause, and show us how, when
why and when an action takes place but the difference between them is that
adverbs phrases unlike adverbs, they give us more information about a sentence
