Administrative philosophy:

As we know Administration never works in a vacuum. Effective and holistic administration requires
strategic skillsets. Life is unpredictable and so are everyday situations.

During my headship tenure, at Comsats University Islamabad I got a chance enabling me to have a
deeper understanding of human nature and how people operate. This operational management was not
acquired in a day. I had over 90 faculty members in my team all with a different temperament, work
philosophy and background. Creating a holistic synergy was a task when one is dealing with public sector
University administrative systems. There's a different set of pressures each day a different challenge. No
theory, no principles work hundred percent when one is dealing with actual humans. One has to have an
Amalgamate of different approached according to the need of the situation

My management philosophy involved patience and decentralized systems where power dynamics were
oscillates. When my team felt they were being trusted I noticed a shift and swift improvement in
efficacy.

My leadership style was dynamic and flexible. I did set target Lines but I was not obsessively monitoring
them every second. This favor them the freedom to bring out creativity and a sense that the boss trusts
them. I made expectations very clear from day one so there's no ambiguity. I was able to retain more
staff during years and on record. We initiated new programs my team was excited because they were
trusted that resulted in professional growth and many promoted in my tenure than at any other time. I
valued consistent feedbacks to see where the gaps were and removing them. I articulated a very clear
set of management principle and boundaries that everyone respected.

We have a culture of mutual understanding and mutual empowerment.

I wish to inculcate the same in Ajman University if given a chance.

look forward to hearing from you!
