World Mental Health Day, by Martinez Martinez Diana Ixchel

Every October 10th is World Mental Health Day, an event promoted by the World
Federation for Mental Health (WFMH) with the support of the World Health
Organization (WHO).

Why is there a date for our mental health and why is it important?

The purpose of this date is to make visible the mental disorder of the members of
the global society, to generate strategies to support these people to cope with their
illness or to cure them completely.

In 2021: mental health and COVID-19


The challenge of 2021 is to remain mentally healthy because confinement, distance
learning and other factors make it difficult for some people to keep their sanity.

What can we do for ourselves? Stay informed, stay active and keep a healthy diet and
proper sleep.

Why did I like it: I think that people should be concerned about their mental health because a lot depends on
their physical health and in these times it is important to take care of ourselves to be well with our environment.
