Task 3.

1. What is Health?

For me, health is a condition of total physical, mental, and social


well-being rather than just the absence of illness or infirmity. It includes a wide
range of elements, such as access to healthcare, lifestyle, environmental factors,
and genetics. Physical health is the state of the body, which includes the capacity
to carry out daily activities, maintain a proper diet, and stay healthy. A person's
emotional and psychological well-being, as well as their capacity to manage
stress, uphold relationships, and carry out daily tasks with efficiency, all fall under
the category of mental health. The ability to interact with others and uphold social
ties, including those with family, friends, and the community, is referred to as
social health. All of these health-related factors are connected to one another
and affect a person's overall well being.

2. What are the components of Health?

The World Health Organization identified the components of health that


can be categorized into three main areas: physical health, mental health, and
social health.

Physical health- A person's overall physical wellbeing includes the efficient


operation of all of their bodily systems. This encompasses factors like good
nutrition, physical activity, rest, and the absence of illness or disease.

Mental health- It is the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of


an individual. This includes skills like the capacity to control stress and emotions,
deal with difficulties, and uphold healthy relationships.

Social health- A person's ability to engage with others and maintain


healthy relationships is referred to as their social health. This includes qualities
like social support, the capacity for social adjustment, and communication skills.
3. What does it mean to be healthy?

Being healthy means having a state of physical, mental, and social


well-being, which enables a person to live a fulfilling and productive life. It
includes aspects like a balanced diet, regular exercise, enough sleep, good
mental health, and social connections in addition to the absence of illness or
disease.

Being healthy allows a person to live a quality life, to live a happy life, and
to be productive. It also requires a lot of effort to be healthy, one of which is to
always eat healthy foods, sleep early, drink a lot of water, exercise, and do a lot
of other things that could lead to a sound body.

4. What are the short- and – long term benefits of being healthy?

There are numerous short- and long-term benefits to being healthy. The
short term benefits of being healthy are; you have the energy to do all the things
you wanted to do, it allows you to have a good mood and stay away from the
stress that circumstances may give you, it allows you to sleep better, which helps
you relax and have a good mood, and lastly, it reduces stress. Even if you are
facing difficulties in life, being healthy allows you to increase your ability to cope
with them.

The long-term benefits of being healthy are: reducing the risk of chronic
diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancer; increasing
your lifespan; improving your overall quality of life by allowing you to enjoy
activities and hobbies that you may not have been able to participate in
otherwise; and improving your mental health, including reducing anxiety and
depression symptoms.

5. What influences our health?

There are a lot of factors that could influence our health which are
genetics, our lifestyle, environment, and psychological factors. In our genetics, people
sometimes get the disease by blood from their family and even though they maintain a
healthy lifestyle, they are still prone to get that sickness. Second is our lifestyle, the way
we handle our diet and how we enjoy life as it should. People sometimes decide their
own cheat day or just live life to the fullest that they forgot how to take good care of their
own body and how it will affect them right after. Third, our environment. Is our
environment clean? Am I living in a nontoxic environment? That question will help you
know that our environment also influenced our health. That clean and healthy
environment will help you to live a healthy life and body. Lastly is the psychological
factors, how we take good care of our mental health. We must maintain a sound mind
because it also influences our health.

It's important to note that these factors are interconnected and can
influence each other in complex ways. Understanding and addressing these
influences on health is key to maintaining and improving overall well-being.

6. What does it mean to promote health?

Promoting health is any action or activity that aims to improve the overall
health and wellbeing of individuals or communities. It involves adopting healthy
behaviors and lifestyles, preventing illness and injury, and managing chronic
conditions. The goal of promoting health is to help people live longer, healthier
lives and reduce the burden of preventable illnesses and diseases. It includes
encouraging regular exercise and activity, starting with your family and friends;
promoting healthy nutrition and how important it is to our bodies; and educating
individuals or your community on how to live a healthy life.

7. Who in our society is responsible for health and for health promotion?

Individuals, in my opinion, are the most responsible for health and health
promotion. We are responsible for taking care of our own health by making
healthy lifestyle choices such as maintaining a balanced diet, exercising
regularly, getting enough sleep, and avoiding harmful habits such as smoking
and excessive alcohol consumption. And of course, our healthcare professionals,
such as doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals, are responsible for
providing medical care and advice to individuals. They also play a role in health
promotion by educating patients about healthy habits and lifestyle choices.

8. What actions can individuals and groups take to promote health education
as part of the curriculum?

Promoting health education as part of the curriculum can be achieved


through a variety of actions by individuals and groups. First, is to raise
awareness. Individuals and groups can raise awareness about the importance of
health education by engaging with school boards, administrators, and
policymakers. They can highlight the need for health education to be included in
the curriculum and emphasize the benefits it can provide. Second, Partnering
with schools can help to promote health education as part of the curriculum.
Individuals and groups can work with schools to create programs that promote
healthy behaviors and provide education on topics such as nutrition, physical
activity, and mental health. Lastly, Collaboration between different groups,
including educators, health professionals, and community organizations, can help
to promote health education as part of the curriculum. By working together, these
groups can create a comprehensive approach to health education that addresses
the needs of students and their communities.

9. What careers are available in the health cluster?

There are a lot of careers available in the health cluster, that includes the
Medical Doctors, Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, Therapist, Health
Educator, Clinical Psychologist, Public Health Specialist, and many more. There
are many other careers available in the health cluster, including various roles in
research and development, public health, and healthcare technology. The field is
constantly evolving, and there is always a need for skilled professionals to help
improve health outcomes and promote wellness.

10. How will you educate your fellows, familiar, or to the community where you
belong about the health issues and how will you emphasize it in your own
way?

I can educate my fellows or the community where you belong about the
health issues and how you will emphasize them in your own way by raising
awareness and educating them using social media. Social media platforms can
be a powerful tool for reaching a large audience. I can create social media posts,
videos, and infographics to educate your community about health issues. I share
relevant news and information about health with my community to make them
more aware of what's happening. Since I am still a student, I am not yet capable
of creating a seminar for my community since I am still learning, but that would
not stop me from sharing what I already know. Through my posts, videos, and
infographics, I can share with them my insights and how it would help them apply
the tips that I provided.
In the left picture, it was taken in the year 2021, while in the right picture, it was
taken last year, in 2022. Based on my picture, I gained only a little weight because I get
sick easily. It affects my eating and my productivity in life. Right after learning this
module, I learned that it is very important to take good care of my health and how I
should deal with my sickness. I am also able to generate ideas about the short- and
long-term benefits of being healthy, and I think that encourages me to live a good and
healthy life.
