2hr ENDURANCE RACE

Overview
The Wonderful World Of Endurance Racing: Long-
Distance, Intelligent, Big Thrills for Local Talent.

The excitement, action, and adrenaline of motorcycle racing make it

arguably the most fun a rider can have on two-wheels and for endurance it
packed with the need of a right strategy to be the champion. The long-
distance races indeed can be grueling for both the riders and the machines.

Even though it is a one time event at the end of 2021 but it is proposed to
package it together with a 5 track days through out the year mainly for
practice session for all participants. This is for riders preparation towards the
endurance race as the event is required participants from mixed level due to
its regulation to impose on the minimum requirement for new riders/ amateur
riders in a team.

There will be 3 grid of races for a total 8 categories encompasses the

motorcycle model from as low as 130cc to 1000cc.

Knowledge Transfer
The team will have 2 riders
consist of 1 expert/pro rider and 1
amateur riders. This will help
knowledge sharing among the
team to win a race.
Young Talent Sourcing
As part of talent sourcing
initiatives to identify new talent in
order to generate a consistent
flow of highly-skilled riders.
Challenge In Technical
Endurance race is unlike sprint
race where the crew is playing a
bigger role to ensure the bike will
and can last until the chequered
flag.
Benefit To SIC
The demand for track days is quite good as of now especially for below 400cc category. Most of them is
a casual track rider where their intention just to have an experience riding on the international race track.
Creating The The casual track rider is really important for SIC especially to expand the Circuit footprint. However, with
Demand a race event as their main motivation, they will strive harder to further improve themselves for the race
and they will attend even more track days. The equipment and machines testing is also play a major
contributor for the increase in demand for track days.

With the regulation imposes on every team must have at least 1 new rider, this will increase the number

Last year, Malaysia has hosted for an Endurance World Championship and this has exposed the local
SIC as the motorsport about the excitement of endurance race. In the past, the local endurance race has focused on
leader in moped bike and this time we proposed to add a sportbike categories into the race. We are expecting a
motorsport warm welcome from this segments and this will be one of the main attraction of the event. This will
directly portray a good image for SIC as the leading motorsport player in Malaysia who strive for giving a

Event objective:
To organize an affordable and fair competition of 2hr Endurance Race
event to source for new talent of riders as well as to ensure consistent
flow of highly-skilled crew and mechanics.

SB1000 SB150 2T GRID A
Black number plate background, and Blue number plate background, and
minimum weight 175 kg. minimum weight 90 kg. The machines are MP150 GRID B
MP130
SB1000 is the top category. the allowed for several upgrades for the
machines are practically identical to
production bikes

 Event Program
The event is a one day event. Since it is already
package with the 5 track days, it is planned to combine a
practice and qualifying session as a one session. It will
takes maximum of 2 hours to finish the practice and
qualifying session for all the 3 grids.

The race starts immediately for Grid 1 and followed by

Grid 2 and Grid 3 respectively. The races will be over
within 6 hours.

For the category below 250cc, the race will be shorten to

1.5 hours instead of 2 hours.

The riders is always comparing the cost for acquiring a

race license with the number of races that they will be
participate in that year. For new riders, this is the main
issue as they think that it is not cost efficient for having a
race license for one time race participation.

Thus, we proposed to offer a 5 track days with a discount

that will be at least equivalent with the price of acquiring a
race license. This will give them a reason to join the track
days and increase the frequency of having them joining
the track days.

This was achieved by good publicity and

promotional program and we it is expected that the
2hr Endurance FB Live will be perform better.

What is new with the publicity and promotional

plan, for endurance race we will have media
partners to promote this event since the beginning
of FY2021. For the comparison, the FB Live
posting performs extraordinary than normal
posting.
