A. Name of the Business:

The name of our business is Project PRISM: Power-Driven Replaceable Mesh Industrial

Sand Sieving Machine.

B. Business Logo:

C. Type of Business:

Opting for a sole proprietorship in our machine manufacturing venture has been a well-

considered choice. It affords me complete autonomy over all aspects of our operations, allowing

me to make swift decisions that align with our vision for designing and manufacturing exceptional

machines. The simplicity of this structure, with minimal paperwork and formalities, has proven

cost-effective for our small manufacturing setup. Moreover, as the sole proprietor, I directly reap

the rewards of our hard work, which is a motivating factor. Additionally, in our region, we've been

able to benefit from certain tax deductions and business expense write-offs.

However, it's important to acknowledge the challenges. Raising capital has occasionally

posed hurdles, given the capital-intensive nature of machine manufacturing. Personal liability is

also a concern, especially in our industry where product liability issues can arise. As the sole

proprietor, my personal assets are at risk in such cases. Lastly, our range of expertise is crucial.
While we excel in certain areas, the complexity of machine manufacturing sometimes requires

specialized knowledge we might lack.

In summary, our choice of a sole proprietorship aligns with our goal of maintaining

control, cost-effectiveness, and maximizing personal profits. Nevertheless, we remain vigilant

about the limitations it poses, particularly in terms of resources, liability, and expertise. As our

business grows, we'll continue to assess whether this structure remains the best fit or if we

should explore alternatives like partnerships or corporations to meet evolving needs. It's a

decision we take seriously, and we regularly consult with legal and financial experts to ensure

we're on the right path.

D. Mission and Vision:

Mission Statement

Project PRISM brings innovation and creativity to manufacturing and technology

industries by developing and producing a machine that can reduce time and human effort and

achieve a higher productivity rate in sieving-related operations than manual operations.

Vision Statement

Our vision at Project PRISM is to satisfy the needs of the manufacturing industry sectors

by producing a sieving machine that can provide faster and higher production rates for a finer and

better quality of products productively.

E. Value Proposition:

This business plan was made since we wanted to see how successful and beneficial the

power-driven replacement mesh industrial sand sieving machine was at completing sieving tasks.

The business aimed to produce a functional, practical, developed, and designed machine for

sieving various particle grain sizes of sand at a high productivity rate while saving time and effort.
F. Description of the Product:

The primary product for our business is the Power-Driven Replaceable Mesh Industrial

Sand Sieving Machine, which will be very useful for fast producing and sifting finer items.

Reciprocating Sieving Method

A reciprocating sieving method is used in our mechanized sieving. This method includes

a reciprocating fixture attached to the machine and a sieve apparatus mounted. The primary

working principle of the Sieving Machine is to convert rotational motion provided by a DC motor

driven by a 3-9 volt battery or a 24-volt DC converter that converts AC to DC and gives electricity

to the motor. The motor is fitted with various gears to give the needed motion.

The mesh attached to the shaft connected to the movable framing portion moves or

slides as the shaft rotates, separating particles such as screws, bolts, nuts, dust, and other

foreign particles of the required size based on the mesh size. During the process, rough sand is

poured directly into the sieve, then it shakes the sand, and sieving takes place with the help of the

reciprocating motion of the sieve. The collection of the fine sand falls below the sieve while the

slug is separated from the apparatus, causing the machine to stop.

Capabilities of Our Sieving Machine

This project included designing and developing a conceptual model of a machine capable

of conducting numerous tasks and operations concurrently while excelling in productivity while

maintaining a low cost. We applied a scotch yoke mechanism with two bevel gear sets for power

transmission at two locations. We increased production, lowered costs, and reduced the

machine's floor space requirements, and the machine concurrently operated two shafts from a

single source to conserve electricity (power supply).

Our Power-Driven Replaceable Mesh Industrial Sand Sieving Machine can sieve various

particle grain sizes of sand at the same time. This equipment is suitable for use on construction

sites where sand must be filtered. This machine has higher efficiency than manual operation, and

with a lower price, this can be a good option for construction sites. It would be very beneficial
also, especially in achieving a faster and higher production rate of sand products with finer and

better quality. This developed machine can help industries because it can also lessen human

effort, can save time and electricity.
