LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! From Japan, He’s here to
conquer and endeavor the new face of our environment. Our recycled samurai costume stands as a symbol of the enduring pride of the samurai, now channeled to protect our environment. Every element, from the armor to the textiles, has been reborn through recycling, reminding us that our heritage and our planet’s future are intertwined. The sun on his back symbolizes the pain of our past but choosing to smile and welcome the future ahead. Just like what the ben&ben said “mahiwaga, pipiliin ka sa araw-araw”. Even though this costume originated from a foreign land, Engelbert is still and always will be a proud and loud filipino who honor and protect this pearl of the orient sea, THE PHILIPPINES! This is us joining him in his noble journey of tradition and environmental protection.
