Make a fact file about any 6 habitats. Tell
about animals, vegetation and climate of 1- Mountains 4- Desert
each habitat. 2- Rainforest 5- Polar regions
3- Grassland 6- Urban

Mountains
Animals: - Moose, Mule deer, white-tailed deer,
pronghorn, mountain goat, black bear, grey wolf etc.
Vegetation: - grasses, shrubs, alpine flowers, mosses,
and lichens
Climate: - The temperature on mountains becomes
colder the higher the altitude gets. Mountains tend to
have much wetter climates than the surrounding flat
land.

Rainforest
Animals: - sloths, tapirs, jaguars, ocelots,
kinkajous, lemurs and agouti.
Vegetation: - It is known for its dense canopies of
vegetation that form three different layers. Ferns,
lichens, mosses, orchids, and bromeliads are all
epiphytes.
Climate: - They are hot and wet all year round –
this creates a humid climate.
Grassland: -
Animals: - Bees, Buffalo, Butterflies, Elephants,
Giraffes, Ground squirrels, Hyenas
Vegetation: - The various species of grasses include
purple needlegrass, blue grama, buffalo grass, and
galleta.
Climate: - While temperatures are often extreme in
some grasslands, the average temperatures are
about -20°C to 30°C.

Desert: -
Animals: - Animals that live in deserts
include lizards, geckos, toads, jackrabbits,
camels, snakes, spiders and meerkats.
