Ladies and gentleman members of the jury, dear audience.

Let me introduce myself, my name is Leila and this is my schoolmate Wylson, we are both geopolitics
student at Cambridge university we are honoured to be here with you today to address an important
topic in our democratic society. This democratic society which, behind its unfailing appearance, hides
imperfections, the consequences of which I have personally suffered, Indeed, my little brother
committed suicide because of cyberbullying

First, In the politics sphere, the prevailing distrust and limited public engagement necessitate careful
consideration. Our main idea emphasizes that it's crucial for politicians to use social media to share
information honestly and truthfully. For this purpose, we recommend implementing a robust fact-
checking system on social media platforms. Moreover, the enforcement of transparency regulations
becomes crucial, compelling politicians to divulge their information sources and the financial backing
behind sponsored content. This approach doesn't just improve the veracity of political discourse, but
also encourages a more responsible and transparent political landscape.

On the one hand, the pervasive nature of online harassment demands our attention. To address this
issue, a collective effort is paramount, uniting not just individuals but also schools, parents, and
online platforms. Moreover, it's crucial to emphasize digital empathy and responsible online
behaviour. One concrete step in this direction involves imposing stricter penalties on cyberbullies.
Nevertheless, it's equally important to recognize the role of internet companies. Collaborating with
law enforcement and sharing user data when necessary is imperative to counter the veil of anonymity
that shields some harassers. Additionally, fostering a culture of reporting and supporting victims is
indispensable. By implementing these measures, we can strive towards creating a safer and more
compassionate digital space, where individuals can express themselves without fear of harassment or
intimidation.

One the other hand, preserving the freedom of speech is crucial, but it's equally important to stop
false information from spreading. Our idea urges social media platforms to shoulder this
responsibility. To put this into action, we propose forging partnerships with independent fact-
checking organizations. Additionally, tweaking algorithms to prioritize trustworthy information will
help minimize the exposure of false content. In doing so, we strike a balance between free expression
and the need to combat misinformation.

Deciding and enforcing internet rules pose a big challenge. Our main idea suggests setting up a
worldwide team effort with governments, tech companies, and people to develop and update these
rules. To make this happen, we suggest creating an international body for internet governance.
Moreover, letting users take charge of content moderation can boost transparency and accountability.
This way, users can actively report and flag content, making the internet a shared responsibility.

In conclusion, we have drawn up a potential declaration on the rights of Internet users
