REMARKS
1) Write the role of a PID controller.
2) Assume a mechanical system as a plant with a single mass, single spring and single
damper and draw the system.
3) Find out the Transfer function of the plant assuming all initial conditions are zero. Write a
MATLAB program to get an open loop response of the plant against a step response. Print the
plot and mention (in handwriting) the rise time, Overshoot, settling time and steady state
error.
4) Get close loop response with MATLAB program for P, PD, PI and PID assuming 3 trails
value for each case and get the plots. Find which controller parameter gives best result
among the 3 trails for each case (P, PI, PD and PID) and comments (in handwriting)
