People infer what someone is like from what they eat or drink.

Beer is one of the most

widely consumed alcoholic beverages worldwide but particularly in Germany. Although
one may avoid the negative effects of alcohol by consuming non-alcoholic beer (NAB),
negative perceptions of NAB may prevent alcoholic beer consumers from drinking NAB.
So what are the benefits and harms of NAB for users?
- Benefits:
+ low calories
+ a randomized controlled trial found that nonalcoholic beer may be an effective
recovery beverage after exercise.
+ Some small studies have indicated that nonalcoholic beer may reduce
inflammation and even common colds
- Harms:
+ an inferior taste to alcoholic beer
+ NAB was seen as a functional beverage and evoked neutral or negative
emotions, such as rational, conscious, or disappointed [1]
