Throughout this experiential course, | have gained a profound appreciation for the challenges that come with teaching, particularly in a post-pandemic world where many adjustments are still being made. The experiences I've had in this course are unforgettable, and I'm confident that the knowledge I've gained will prove invaluable as | embark on my teaching career. Finally, my deepest thanks to the Almighty God, who gave me the strength to complete all my activities and make this portfolio possible, OBJECTIVES OF BACHELOR OF SECONDARY EDUCATION Produce graduates who can demonstrate and practice professional and ethical requirements for the Bachelor of Secondary Education such as: 1.To serve as positive and powerful role models in the pursuit of learning thereby maintaining high regard for professional growth. 2.Foous on the significance of providing wholesome and desirable learning environments 3.Facilitates the learning process for diverse types of learners. 4,Use varied learning approaches and_ activities, instructional materials, and learning resources. 5.Use assessment data, plan, and revise the teaching- learning plan. 6.Direct and strengthen the links between school and community activities 7.Conduct research and development in teacher education and other related activities. FIELD STUDY 1 During our deployment's initial day, our supportive supervisors, Dr. Meriam Abion, and Dr. Antonia perio, met briefly with the principal of Gogon High ‘School, Mr. Salcedo. Following this meeting, Mr. ‘Salcedo assigned us to our respective year levels and resource teachers. ur class discussions with Ma'am Em proved to be an enjoyable and informative experience. Throughout the observation process, we gained insights into various classroom management techniques and effective instructional methods. Additionally, we observed the unique talents, capabilities, and skills of each student, which will be beneficial as we begin our own teaching careers. Matam Em occasionally conducted group activities in which students were instructed to gather in their designated groups and form a 4 siete, instuctons for the assigned tasks were then provided, _{_ Notably, before presenting their group projects, students would create a group yell, which was both entertaining and engaging to observe. 10 FIELD STUDY 2 In Ma'am Em's absence, we assumed the role of her reliable messengers. While it was not without its challenges, witnessing the students’ development and executing Ma'am Em's vision was a gratifying accomplishment. 2 FIRST QUARTERLY EXAM. > — __(ECTIONS AMIABILITY, SPA, BRAVERY, CHARITY, AND ———— DEPENDABILITY During the examination, we observed the class for the first time, We were pleased to see that even the typically unruly students were exceptionally focused and well-behaved. We were delighted to see that the students ~}- —took the exam seriously. In addition to supervising the exam, we were responsible for checking their notebooks and counting the stars they earned during class discussions. These stars were given to students each time they actively participated in class discussions. 3 [ABD i Nite ‘At FS2, we are privileged to help our students and have been assigned the task of conducting a rapid literacy assessment. Following the examination, ~}> —we review their test papers and notebooks. Interestingly, our grading— process is no longer traditional, as we utilize an e-class record to record their grades. 4 Alter the PTA meeting, we were tasked with supervising the parents in Ma‘am's absence due to her pressing errands. It was a delightful experience for us as we distributed cards and addressed any concems or questions they had concerning their children 15 4+ — ARTHQUAKE DRL —+ + __In November, a concise earthquake drill was conducted to equip students with the necessary skills in case of an emergency. + a NIRAMLRALS Our recent involvement in the Gogon High School event broadcasted on -} —FS1 and FS2 marked a significant milestone for us. We take immense ———>- pride in our contribution towards such a crucial event. 7 EPILOUGE Undoubtedly, this milestone has been the most fulfilling and memorable experience of my life. The joy on the students' faces every time they greet us and their compliments in the corridors have been heartwarming. Their eagerness to learn and participate in class discussions is a testament to their willingness to learn and engage with us. Helping them solve problems and witnessing the smiles of satisfaction on their faces has been an amazing feeling. While our patience has been tested, it's essential to remember that these students are still adjusting and need our support. | hope that our journey as an official student teacher next year will be equally fulfilling and rewarding. 19
