Violence in Palestine

Violence in Palestine has been on-going and severe for many years, and there is a wealth of basic
research on the negative effects of such violence on developing children and their family systems.
Yet, there have been extraordinarily few interventions that have been rigorously evaluated and
even fewer that have been able to demonstrate any positive effects on mental health.

We propose that two theoretical frameworks – social ecological theory and emotional security
theory – may be successfully leveraged for better identifying possible avenues for successful
mental health programs in setting with chronic violence. The conference will seek to: discuss the
application of these theoretical models as they apply to mental health program development in
Palestine, consider conceptualizations of resilience and well-being in the face of chronic trauma,
and identify relevant intersections between systems that may require unique approaches to
treatment At least fifty people were murdered and numerous others were injured in an Israeli
attack on the heavily populated Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza. The search is still ongoing.
Humanitarian organizations have denounced the bombardment, which has stunned the Arab
world. Although Hamas has denied that its leader was present, Israel has admitted that it was
responsible for the hit and claimed that it was directed at a senior Hamas official. The Israeli
military has also claimed success in its ongoing ground operations in Gaza, killing 50 fighters and
seizing what it called a Hamas stronghold in the northern part of the territory. Fuel continues to be
barred, but according to the US, 66 relief vehicles entered Gaza in the last day—the highest
number since supplies from the Rafah connection with Egypt started.

What we should do to stop this violence

According to the two-state answer, Israel and the Palestinians would each have their own in
control state. Furthermore, the support of America for it is not new—for many years, it has served
as a foundation for ideas to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. However, it hasn't become a reality
due to ongoing conflict, expanded Israeli settlements, logistics problems, failed peace
negotiations, and Palestinian attacks. Over time, the support for the two-state solution has
decreased among Israelis and Palestinians alike. Furthermore, in light of Israel's response to
Hamas' attack on the country, its prospects appear bleaker than ever .Things we should do are
Speak with your congressman and demand an immediate end to conflict.

According to widely read opinion polls, the majority of Americans support a cease-fire. Protests
have drawn millions of participants worldwide. However, very few Representatives have made a
formal request for a cease-fire. We must continue to communicate with our elected officials. Use
this online form to schedule a call with your representative in a few minutes. Next, send an email
to them. Assist in drawing attention to the situation in Gaza. Engage in demonstrations. Vigils,
marches, and gatherings are effective ways to show support for Gaza in public. Get our free
posters for Palestine and print them out to make your message very apparent.

The Palestine is in a devastating situation and they need our help to stop this global issue and to
stop this war and conflict
