Introduction
What is a Nettop?
Nettops AKA Mini PCs, as it most colloquial name says, it's a
mini PC, some of them you can hold entirely in your hand.

This name, nettop, comes from netbook and desktop,


netbooks are a kind of low-cost laptop, and so, are nettops,
nettops are pretty cheap in comparison to desktops.

The story of Nettops and its uses
Nettops became a thing in the 2000s, companies like Asus, MSI...
made their own nettops.

They were limited in what they can do, it was kind of a trend
between PC geeks, not really a success between the casual market.

Nettops are more likely to be used for work, using office software,
surf the web, or watch videos.
Power up the limits
Performance
Nettops are limited but some of the most recent Nettops are really
powerful.

People in internet make videos showing how powerful these machines can be,
playing PC games or emulating, here are some examples of people emulating
PS2, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U...
Comparison
HTPC or NETTOPS?
HTPCs are the same as a normal PC, just with a different design similar
to a CD player, with the purpose to be used to watch Movies, Series or
Videos online... in your living room on your TV, the same as Smart TVs.

Maybe you will prefer HTPC just for the aesthetic, but for anything
else, they are the same, Nettops use less space and can be more
cheap than a HTPC

Laptops or NETTOPS?

The concept of portability in a nettop is not the same in a laptop.


A laptop, you can use it everywhere you go if you have charged up
the laptop without the use of cables.

The laptop has incorporated screen, trackpad and keyboard.

Nettops are just like a normal PC, needs external connections: Screen,
Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers...

Nettops can be carried around easily, but can't be used in any place
like the laptop.

disadvantages
Nettops use a different structure where the hardware is adjusted differently from a traditional computer.

Nettops consume less energy. Nettops are quite limited.

F: In short, it is a piece of equipment suitable for non-complex tasks, including the
needs of students. Suitable for running applications like editing office documents,
browsing the web, but also streaming videos, TV series and 4K movies. Support
the game.
