EVALUATION

Regarding the relationship that my work has with Vanessa's work, in both cases, the theme relates to the ocean and in some way with environmental
awareness. Vanessa's work focuses on the destruction of corals, while mine has a more general perspective and deals with the disintegration of the entire
ocean. On the other hand, the materials used are similar, since both works use wool or yarn to make the composition. However, they differ in the method of use

the black plastic bags that I reused every time I went to bathe. Likewise, whenever I finished any artwork, I had materials I didn't use and were essentially leftovers, however, within this artwork I used plastic

out around the world, generates that we all understand and know installation intends to watch them melt. On the other hand, what I like about the installation is the message it represents, it aims to show how climate change works,
that many people do want to make a positive change. not only by the fact that the ice blocks were so easy to relocate but how they melt throughout time. Personally, In my artwork, I will aim to create a small installation,
where the audience can understand the indirect message portrayed. Additionally, I believe the artwork is successful, not only because of the artist's influence but
because it's a simple installation that can transmit many emotions, therefore, I think that this installation should be judged from the message it transmits, from how
the audience responds, and the organization of the blocks to create a different environment.
https://olafureliasson.net/archive/artwork/WEK109190/ice-watch

The installation is meant to demonstrate how every minute, humans' actions that caused climate change, are responsible for the melting of icebergs, and therefore, the melting of the Antarctic. The 12 ice blocks are in a clock form, where every block represents one hour of the clock. If I had the
opportunity to be at that installation, I would experience many feelings. I would feel sad to see the ice melt and would be shocked about the placement of the blocks, and how well they work to transmit the message of climate change. The artwork does not have any direct narrative, but time does tell a
story because as time goes by, the block begins to disappear, leaving no proof of the installation. If I had to explain the artwork to someone else, I would start with the purpose of the installation, which is the effect of climate change, I think that from that information the audience can easily interpret the
installation the right way. The overall installation has created an effective expressive space open to interpretation, and emotions from the audience, because of the organization of the ice block, and the blocks themselves.
