“MY MINI-RESEARCH PROJECT”
INTRODUCTION
“Research helps us to understand the world around us and to find solutions to
problems.”
Mathematics and Statistics Awareness Month began in 1986 as Mathematics Awareness
Week with a proclamation by President Ronald Reagan. Mathematics and Statistics month is
observed annually in April to increase the public understanding of mathematics and statistics.
In celebration of Mathematics and Statistics Awareness Month, the CPRINT Office
hosted a school-based research conference. The goal of this conference is to let the students
appreciate the significance of statistics in data collection, data analysis and research.
As a participant, you are asked to present a mini research with hypothesis testing. The
following guidelines must be followed:
1. Submit mini research using the required format.
2. Mini research must come-up with actual and concrete data and use appropriate
statistical measures.
This mini-research will be presented during the school-based conference to the boards,
panelists, and other participants and will be evaluated using the following rubric.
