The Community Church Talent Show Finals

Friday the 15th of December 2023 at 5pm

Running order:

5pm: Choir to start singing. There will be no introduction and this will be the signal for
people to their seats
5:15 After about FOUR songs, the choir can take their seats and ALL lights are switched
off in the auditorium. The voice-over starts and on the projector screens, a visual
presentation starts, ending in the introduction of TPK and Batsirai Shasha who are
the first performers and will sing one after the other. During the presentation BAND
MUST TAKE THE STAGE in that 3 minutes of darkness and voiceover
For TPK and Batsi’s performances, ONLY stage lights must be on, whilst the audience
is in darkness
Note: TPK and Batsi please only sing 1 song each…for now. Let the band know song
choices early

5.25 The voiceover will the introduce the MC’s (applause) Pastor Mutsakanya and
Shugeta
5.26 The MCs introduce themselves, welcome the audience, welcome invited
guests, and welcome Bishop Chaurura and members of TCC who are the hosts of
the show

THEN THE MCs introduce our JUDGES who are all performing artists in their own right

5.35 Now for our first act (complete darkness - even the stage as the audience watches
the projector)… audience is shown video of the contestant’s journey, as well as the
contestant introducing themselves and then their performance… then STAGE LIGHTS
ONLY must be switched back on. This is the stage where the judges will give their verdict
and as soon as a contestant leaves the stage (allow them to come down the stairs
completely), then compete darkness for the next projector presentation

This will be repeated until our first FIVE contestants have performed. The 5th contestant
is called DAVID MULIYA,

When the FIfth contestant leaves stage, MC’s go back onto stage and introduce gospel
artist SPIWE Ndeble Only one MC needs to go up
Spiwe will sing one song and leave the stage. The MC returns to introduce the next act,
and when he leaves the stage THERE MUST BE TOTAL DARKNESS again as the audience
watches the projector screen and the next audience is introduced

This will be repeated until SIX performances participate. (that means the contestant does
their act, gets judged, walks off the stage, the next one gets introduced… then darkness…
The last one of this segment is RUVIMBO MUTSVENE

MCs, please introduce Gospel artists KUDA MUTSVENE and Sabastian MAGACHA who will
sing….

The MCs will come back on the stage (ONLY STAGE LIGHTS NEED TO BE ON) and tell the
audience that the judges are leaving us briefly to deliberate… they will come back with
our top FIVE who we will ask to perform again and we will pick our 3 winners from
there.

During this time, we would like to introduce Bishop Chaurura. Founder of TCC….
MC’s will leave the stage ….and then Bishop Chaurura comes to stage

Judges can come back during this time (15 to 20 minute speech)

After Bishop Chaurura, the MC’s will come back on stage and say, we are now going to ask
our top five to join us on stage…read their names out

Top 5 compete again…….what is media doing here??....Judges are deliberating at their

desk…be discreet… no need to leave the room

Batsi, TPK, Spiwe sing

MC’s return to stage and Winners pronounced and given prizes

Remaining contestants receive consolation prizes

Kuda and Sebastian to Sing

MCs return for vote of thanks
