A very good afternoon I bid to all of you. On behalf of the organising committee for
this Language Carnival 2020, we warmly welcome all of you today for our final Singing
Competition. Different people in history have shown us how dreams can and do become a
reality and this competition has provided each and every finalist a platform to explore their
passion in music and showcase their talents. I assure you that this programme shall be full
of exuberance and excitement, and will create some beautiful memories for us all. It is
rightly said “Days are not lost when memories are created”.

Without further ado, permit us to start the programme. I would like to introduce to
all of you the honourable judges for today’s competition. The first judge is
________________________ as the chief judge. The next person beside him/her is
________________________ as the second judge. And the next person to him/her is
________________________ as the third judge. All the judges’ decisions are final and
individual marks will not be disclosed.

Ladies and gentleman,

For your information, this solo singing competition is open to TRS Senior Secondary
(form 4-5) and Junior Secondary (form 1-3) students. There will be five finalists for the
Senior Secondary category (which are….emcee can introduce the finalist) and three finalists
for the Junior Secondary category (which are…emcee can introduce the finalist) for this
competition today. The contestants will be judged on the song selection, voice quality,
rhythm, pronunciation, showmanship and their appeal to the audience and judges.

Now, the long wait is over. Let us begin with our first contestant. Please put your

 Now come along, let's have the last performance for Senior Secondary category.

With that, all of the finalists for the Senior Secondary Category have delivered their

We will take a short break now. The judges will calculate the marks and the results

remain inside this hall.

Before we announce the winner of today’s competition, I would like to acknowledge

the important roles played by the judges today. They have adjudicated with much wisdom in
order to pick the winners for today’s competition. The organising committee would like to
give away some souvenirs to show our appreciation to the honourable judges. Please give a
