READERS THEATRE COMPETITION EMCEE SCRIPT

Before Competition
Welcome dear participants, respected judges and lovely audiences to the Readers Theatre
Competition. To all the contestants, you are invited to take seats. Please make sure to sit in
your group and be prepared for your group’s turn. Once the judges are ready, we will start the
competition.

During Competition

The competition is going to start any minute from now. Please make sure to put your phone into
silent mode. Thank you. (wait for everyone to be prepared)

A very good morning I bid to all of you. On behalf of the English Language Month committee, we
are pleased to welcome all of you to this year's Readers Theatre competition. Please bear in
mind; we hope that all the contestants can compete in a healthy manner. Try your very best to
deliver your performance with full confidence. Without wasting any time, I would like to ask for
permission to start the competition.

Ladies and gentlemen, Now, I would like to introduce our honourable judges and the time
keeper. For your information, the judges for today’s competition are Mr Yahya bin Omar and Mrs
Sarah binti Abdul Wahab Shahrani from the English Language Department. The timekeeper for

End Competition

Now, we have come to the end of this competition. I would like to congratulate all participants for
your wonderful performances. Unfortunately, since we have quite limited time, the results will be
announced later in the Whatsapp group. The prizes for all participants will be distributed during
the ELM closing ceremony.

Before leaving the venue, everyone is invited to come to the front for a photograph session.
