SCRIPT FOR THE ENGLISH MONTH CULMINATION (VIRTUAL)

Host 1: Derek Walcott once said and I quote, “The English language is nobody’s special property. It is the
property of the imagination: it is the property of the language itself.”
Host 1& 2: Good day Lourdesians! Welcome to the English Month Culmination program 2021!
Host 1: with the theme…
Host 2: “Living, Loving, and Learning English with the Family amid Uncertainties.”
Host 1 & 2: we are your masters of ceremonies
Host 1: I am Ofelia T. Miguel
Host 2: and I am Ronalen M. Laureta
Host 1: English Language Month is a month-long celebration of the uniqueness of the English language and
all the learners working hard to master it! English has become a uniting force, bringing people from
different backgrounds together through education, work, business, everyday communication and pop
culture.
Host 2: Indeed! Students around the world strive to learn and study in English in part because it is the language
of instruction at many top universities around the world. The goal of the English Language Month is to create
an ongoing celebration of this global and constantly evolving language.
Host 1: That’s right! To officially commence our program, let us ask for the divine intervention through a
doxology by the selected senior high school students, and to be followed by the singing of our National
Anthem.
(Doxology, National anthem)
Host 2: Now, to give us the opening remarks, may we have our beloved Ms. Rosalie B. Montanez, the school
principal of Our Lady of Lourdes School of Aglipay, Quirino, Inc.
(Opening remarks)
Host 1: Thank you so much ma’am for that wonderful message.
Host 2: Now to give us an inspirational message, may we have our beloved Fra. Glenn A. Galingana, the OIC-
School Director of Our Lady of Lourdes School of Aglipay, Quirino, Inc.
Host 1: Thank you so much Frater for your inspiring message.
Host 2: The English month culmination is celebrated every November with the different contested activities or
competitions which are related to the English literature.
Host 1: That’s right! These activities have surely activated our English Language Proficiency and our
knowledge about English specially to all the Lourdesians out there.
Host 2: Alright, now let us witness the pupils and students of Our Lady of Lourdes School of Aglipay, Quirino,
Inc. in the different contested activities.
(pause for 20 seconds)
Host 1: The pupils and students of Our Lady of Lourdes School are indeed very creative when it comes to
these competitions.
Host 2: Yes! They have shown the diversified talent of every Lourdesians.
Host 1 & 2: Congratulations to all of you our dear pupils and students.
Host 1: Now, if you say diversified talents of course they are the ones who have such unique talents. Let us
now witness the faculty of Our Lady of Lourdes School of Aglipay, Quirino for their Intermission number.
Host 2: Thank you so much beautiful and handsome teachers.
Host 1: And with that, thus ends our English month Culmination.
Host 2: To our dear parents, pupils and students, to our OIC-School Director, Fra. Glenn A. Galingana, to our

Host 1: Thank you, that was indeed a spectacular video presentation for it shows us the diversified talents
of our dearest pupils & students.
Host 2: Blessed Alan de la Roche once said, “The Holy Rosary is the storehouse of countless blessings.” In
connection with the celebration of the month of the Holy Rosary last October, the Our Lady of Lourdes School
of Aglipay, Quirino, Inc. lead the Handog para kay Maria, a raffle draw for a cause.
Now are you all ready? Teachers are you ready? Viewers at home are you ready? Well, get ready because we
will draw 20 tickets for the consolation prizes. The consolation prize is… none other than a sack of 25kg. rice!
Yes, you heard it right! A sack of 25kg. rice. Okay now we will draw the tickets. First one…

Host 1: That ends the consolation prizes, congratulations to those who have won. To those who have not
yet won, don’t worry because we will be back for more prizes.
Host 2: Now, if you say diversified talents of course they are the ones who have such unique talents. Let us now
witness the Elementary department for their Intermission number.

Now let’s get back to the Handog para kay Maria, a raffle draw for a cause. This time, we will draw the top
winners for this raffle. So first we will draw the 3rd prize winner… 2nd prize winner… 1st prize winner…
That ends the Handog para kay Maria, a raffle draw for a cause. Congratulations to all the winners and thank
you so much to all who participated. The proceeds for this raffle will be used for the beautification of our
beloved institution. Thank you.
Host 1: Now, may we call on the talented, bold and fearless teachers of the Junior High School department
for their intermission program.
