INTRO

 Commencement a word of French origin which means beginning. Indeed there is a good reason they
call ceremonies, commencement exercises. Graduation is not the end it is the beginning.

 Good Afternoon and Welcome to Sta. Catalina Primary School 1 st Commencement Exercises with the
theme “ Sabay- sabay na hakbang tungo sa Maunlad na Kinabukasan.”

PROCESSIONAL
 Ladies and Gentlemen. The processional.
Roll out the red carpet for our 1st graduating class batch 2017 escorted by their parents.
Let us welcome the stake holders in education : PTA officers, Barangay Officials, Flormina and Sta.
Catalina Elementary School Teachers, our Teacher –in- charge together with our Honored Guest .

 The month of March is one of the most awaited months on the part of the pupils as well of course
those parents who for their first time ever see their son or daughter be one of those members of
graduating class march during the processional. I am pretty sure that I’ts been already a month-long
waiting and preparation. Those feelings come into reality this day… on this 30 th day of March as we
will witness the 1st Closing Exercises of Sta. Catalina Primary School.

 Today, another history slowly unfolds as we come to an end of the school year 2016-2017. It’s been
almost months already that we have witness how these little lads and lasses proved their worth to
become a member of today’s graduating batch.

 So, to start with I would like to greet the people who grace the affair. To the epitome’ of empowered
woman and a supportive school leader, our very own Ma’am Ma. Isabel M. Olivas, our Guest of
Honor, Colleagues , Brgy. Officials, PTA Officers, members of graduating batch, parents, guardians,
visitors, friends, ladies and gentlemen, a pleasant and welcoming afternoon!

PRAYER
 To bless this momentous occasion, let us seek Divine Intervention. may we call on Ma’am Lurena
Bernan to lead us the prayer.

NATIONAL ANTHEM
 At this moment, may we all stand as we pay tribute to our national flag through the singing of our
Phil. National Anthem followed by the singing of our Division Hymn through the sound system.

SALUTATORY ADDRESS
 To set the tone for this afternoon’s event let us welcome LEANNA JEAN BATO, our salutatorian. A
round of applause please. ( Thank You so much!)

PRESENTATION OF CANDIDATES
 And now, the main highlight of today’s affair is about to unfold in our midst. To do the honors of
presenting this year’s candidates for graduation, may we have on the stage, SIR JESAN SABEDORIA to
be followed right away by the acceptance and confirmation of graduates by Ma’am Isabel M.
Olivas.

AWARDING OF MEDALS AND RIBBONS


 And now for the most awaited part of our programme, especially for the parents and pupils who will
be awarded, let us move on to the awarding of medals and certificates to honors, deserving pupils.
Again may we call on the adviser SIR JESAN to do the honor of presenting our awardee. May we have
on stage once more Ma’am Isabel Olivas and our Guest of Speaker MAAM JENIE SABADORIA.

 Today’s affair is being graced by a special woman who will in a minute deliver her words of wisdom
to our young graduates and to their parents as well. To get to know more about her, may we call on
the stage Ma’am Gladys Pasamonte to do the honor in introducing our Guest Speaker.

DISTRIBUTION OF DIPLOMA
 A diploma is the tangible evidence of being a graduate in a certain level of education. this is now the
fruit of each pupils endeavor. So to do the honors of the distribution of diplomas may we have on
the stage again Ma’am Isabel Olivas, Ma’am Jennie Sabedoria ( I would like to request also our
beautiful visitor from Sta Catalina Prim. School Ma’am Mary joyce Cui )

VALEDICTORY ADDRESS
 At this Juncture let us be all ears to no less than the batch valedictorian herself as she encapsulates
everything elementary life has to offer. A big hand for Maricar Olivas for the valedictory address.

PLEDGE OF LOYALTY
 May we call on _____________ to lead the graduates in their pledge of loyalty.

GRADUATION SONG
 In every memorable moment of one’s life, there are always songs that will embody inferred
emotions. With a round of applause let us welcome the graduate for their graduation song.

CLOSING REMARKS
 To end this memorable occasion, may we have our Teacher-in-Charge Ma’am Isabel M. Olivas for her
closing remarks.

 This commencement exercise has truly been noteworthy for everyone here. Graduation is indeed a
time of completion, of finishing, of an ending, however, it is also a time of celebration of
achievement and most importantly a beginning for the new graduate.
