celebrity, then answer the questions:

• How is this celebrity portrayed in the magazine?

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, portrayed and recently named as the 2020
year’s Art Ambassador for the Philippine National Commission for Culture and the Arts
(NCCA).

• What kind of roles does the celebrity take in?

The beauty queen said her role means so much to her because she is an artist
and is very fascinated by the country’s textile history, music, bands, among others as
well as urging Filipinos to learn arts and culture with her.

• How do these portrayals associate with specific cultural values?

Filipinos tend to strive to do their best, valuing integrity and reputation whilst
rising up to the challenge elements that contribute to the image of the hardworking
Filipino. The dedication of the beauty queen from promoting the country just like in her
2018 video, Gray once again showcased the beauty of the walled city Intramuros. She
visited revisited Fort Santiago and mingled with local tourists just show how she value
the Filipino Culture so much.
