Prologue
Abhor is an acidic, destructive emotion. It runs amuck through
one’s mind and blood like an infection, a grave, threatening to the
whole bloodline of its host.
Love is gracious and tender. It flows across the mind and soul
of one in the form of sacrifice and kind-heartedness. Only love is
truly heroic.
Retribution is an act of violence. It disguised itself as a just
action, but gives birth to a never quenching perpetually burning
fire of hatred.
Love is heartfelt and inspirational. It brings out the best in all
beings. But some use love as a tool to manipulate and ruin anyone
who would be foolish enough to embrace it at first place.
Abhorrence defiles. Sacrifice is an instrument of the monks.
Love annihilates. Retribution is the gift of the mighty.
Abhor is my worst enemy. Vengeance is an angry friend and
Love is what I exactly longed for… since eternity.
I must earn my precious romantic moments back and forgive
them who caused me pain. I must move ahead, not with hatred,
but with calm, cold and a rational mind. Easy to say tough to
follow. But who said that greatness can be achieved easily?
Move ahead, not with abhorrence, not only with love.
Move forward with purpose…. Take back what you have lost.
Hold your Love close and this time not let it loose.
George paused, while writing these words in his diary as soon
as the flight attendant announced that they have arrived in India
and soon the flight is going to land.
8 I Still Crave For Him

These words were sacred vows to him.

Radiant and vivid, they were souvenir of a very distant past
that had brought him to India from London.
Closing his eyes, he spread his hand out and felt the words
written in his diary. That pain succoured him. It strengthened him.
Well, Love sometimes deserves a good sacrifice, at least this
time. He’d died, lost his love and was left with no purpose for
centuries. But now, his past had come to beckon him, as if the
nightmare of his life, like a Phoenix, had risen from its ash to once
become vivid and colourful. He had found someone from his past.
Apparently in whom he was very much interested. A key to his
heart!
He suddenly felt as if a soothing balm has been to his never
ending heartache.

A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire

Chapter 1

The Beginning

In my heart, where the moist soils of Eden, full of music,

Not heard until the magic of love cast upon me.
For the first time, fancies for poetic love awoke in me,
For the first time, I witnessed the beauty of the night enlightened by
magnificent starlight,
As if the Moon had risen for the first time.
For the first time, I witnessed the beauty of a day beckoning and bursting
with light,
As if the sun had risen for the first time.
With spring-eyed beauty of sweet unawareness,
For the first time I became a romantic, for all intents and purposes.
As I caught his first sight,
I saw angels under the gospel of his voice.
I was no longer just a girl, but a vessel for poetry,
And I finally knew what it was to be alive.
Just one sight of him,
Revolting my wild mind,

A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire

10 I Still Crave For Him

Awakening and coaxing my feet,

Urging me on,
Clawing at temptation,
His eyes like magical mirror wave off and hypnotizes,
Craving the euphoria nature, aptly offers free and full of grace.

“Hurry Up Shreya!!! Hurry Up Girl!!!”

“I am all ready,” Shreya gave her elder brother Akhil a shining
smile. A smile that looked so beautiful on her sweet innocent face.
“Oh God! Are you going on a one week tour or a one month
tour?” Akhil banged his head looking at her huge luggage.
“Bro, you know girl things,” Shreya winked at him.
Akhil, who is the only brother or say is the only relative close
to Shreya was to drop her to college before leaving for his office.
“Enjoy your Goa trip and please take care,” Akhil said to
Shreya handing over her luggage. His voice was soft and her eyes
moist.
“You too bro,” Shreya put on her best ‘a loving sister’ smile.
Shreya had never been attracted to the beaches. Perhaps that
was the reason for which Goa trip holds no charm for her, but it
was her group of friends on whose demand or order she yielded.
Every time she thought of a holiday, she loved to think about high
rise mountain peaks, pine fragranced air, serenity, and cleanness.
She considered Goa as a hosh posh of modern trends and the
crowd, a ‘Not for her’ deal.
She always thought of walking in the land touching clouds of
Gangtok or exploring desolate, yet beautiful land of Leh. On the far-
flung horizon, she used to marvel about the Land of Thunder, i.e.
Bhutan. She held special fascination about the magnanimity of snow
draped mountains, twisting roads, dhabas, and mountain brooks.
The sea was a remote thing for Shreya. It did not hold any

A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire

The Beginning 11

special appeal. Yet, this trip was going to change all her perceptions
and like/dislikes or say her complete life.
“Here you are, Baby.” Her best friends Kunal and Poonam
reached to her and picked her luggage, as she entered into the
college campus.
Poonam gave her a warm hug. After Shreya’s brother Akhil,
Poonam was the person, who Shreya trusted most. They had been
friends since school days.
“How are you beautiful?” Kunal watched Shreya as she spoke.
She was surreally beautiful. He couldn’t even dream of
anything so flawless. She was too hard to describe. Every time he
met her, he just couldn’t look beyond her face.
Shreya looked like a supermodel with a 5’7 tall, thin body, and
shiny long black hair with slight curls.
“Hey Mani,” Shreya hugged her best friend and classmate
Manisha, who had just approached them. Manisha was short,
reaching up to Shreya’s shoulder and had a black pixie cut. She had
big black eyes, those when applied with make-up looks smoky and
alluring. No one would call her very beautiful but certainly neither
plain nor ugly.
“Hey, you look very tired buddy,” Manisha remarked at Kunal’s
face.
There was a moment of silence. Kunal broke by speaking
in more natural tones, “I had a bad dream. I don’t know why
nightmares have been torturing me for whole life.”
“Don’t worry, it happens to some people.” Shreya gazed at him
with concern.
“Does it happen to you, too?” Kunal asked anxiously.
“Yeah, but not as often as in your case,” Shreya rolled her eyes
in response.
“Are you looking for someone?” Kunal enquired Shreya, who
was looking here and there, while talking to him.

A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire

12 I Still Crave For Him

“Yeah, Poonam, Abhay and Sonali haven’t arrived yet,” Shreya

spoke while biting her rosy lip.
“Here I am.” Shreya jumped at the sound of Sonali’s voice,
coming from behind her with Poonam. Shaking her head, she
turned to seek out Sonali.
Sonali was a very cute girl of 5’2 height with slim built and
attractive figure with not a single scar across her body. Her face
was smaller, oval shaped with full lips and almond shaped eyes. In
her pink Capri and new stylish haircut, she was looking as cute as
a doll. Her innocent and foolish acts always added doll like flavor
to her personality.
They took a flight from Delhi to Goa. Outside the airport, there
was the usual scene. Many taxi drivers and tour representatives
were standing and holding placards to receive guests. They located
their college name there on a white sheet written in bold Arial type
and confirmed if the guy was from the same place (“The Goan
Heritage”), where they’d done booking. During re-confirmation,
he asked them to wait and vanished to get his bus.
The scene outside the airport was not very different to what
one is accustomed to any other airport in the country. Taxi drivers
and touts wanting a slice of your spending in Goa, promising
excellent tours, and recommending attractive places to stay.
Despite her indifferent interest in the sea, Shreya was feeling
normal until she noticed a guy who was intently staring at her. One
look at Shreya’s face was enough to reveal her feeling of discomfort
due to the staring of big, hairy, and smelly kind of foreigner guy.
“You Okay?” Kunal asked Shreya, alarmed by her tensed facial
expressions.
“Yeah, but that guy is staring at me,” Shreya pointed out at him
but was amazed by finding the guy nowhere.
“Then what? You are the most beautiful girl ever, you can’t
blame anyone for falling for you,” Kunal flattered.
Already irritated and feeling insecure, Kunal’s flattering words
made her feeling worse.

A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire

The Beginning 13

“Can’t you behave sensibly anytime?” Shreya rebuked, trying

to control her unfounded annoyance.
The tourist bus that had been arranged for them had arrived
and they all boarded it. Kunal was taking care of carrying Shreya’s
heavy luggage and Shreya was busy taking care of her best friend
Poonam.
They checked into the resort ‘The Goan Heritage’ in Goa. The
resort was one of the most accessible resorts as it was located right
on the Calangute beach in North Goa. Since, it was a college trip
of youngsters, they had deliberately chosen to stay at North Goa
as North Goa is more happening and livelier than picturesque and
historical South Goa.
Staying at the beach resort makes life easier for tourists as one
can keep their valuables and extra clothes in the room and enjoy
the beach with his/her mind completely devoid of any concern.
The college folk loved the resort, its ambience, food, and the
buzz that is happening in the resort near the pool, garden, and
the beach. In Goa, first shopping that Shreya did includes tees,
shorts, slippers, sunglass, and a Goan hat. Also, Kunal and other
classmates had rented bikes which cost them Rs. 300/day, much
cheaper compared to self-driven car costing Rs. 900/day and with
narrow roads and beach lane making parking a big nuisance.
“Are you okay, gorgeous?”
A hand came down and helped Shreya that handed back her
bag. Shreya had accidently smacked into a foreigner guy while
getting out of a shop. Once Shreya was up, she noticed the guy
whom she’d smacked into. She was taken aback by finding it to
be the most stunning guy she had ever seen. He was tall around
six feet and three inches, having very light ceramic skin as that of
statue and dark brown hair, which are curled at the end. Under
his tight fitted black T-shirt he seemed strongly built. He was
impeccable and totally clad in black.
“I’m fine. Sorry I smacked into you. I didn’t see you, you came
very suddenly I guess,” Shreya said shyly, trying to compose her

bearing. She tried to concentrate on her belongings but in vain.

She couldn’t help but feeling a strong attraction towards the guy.
“Thanks,” Shreya whispered in as much sweet voice as she
could, to that stranger.
“Oh! Don’t mention it. Enjoy your day.” The man left the shop
smiling. Shreya guessed he was supposed to enter the shop for
some purchasing.
Whatever, right now what mattered to Shreya was to know
about him before he went far away.
“Hi, this is Shreya.” She accosted the guy and tried to bring up a
little chat. She tried to hide her nervousness under a confident voice.
The guy didn’t say anything but slowed down his pace to match
that of hers. She was apprehensive that he might not be interested
in her though she was.
“Are you headed to Calangute beach?”
“Yeah, I’m meeting a friend. Are you also headed there?”
“Yes, my friends are also waiting there.”
“Are you on a college trip?”
“Yes, but how do you know?”
“Just a wild guess,” for first time Shreya noticed his smile,
which was the sweetest smile she had ever observed till date.
As Shreya and the guy walked to the Calangute beach together,
she felt a tinge of nervousness.
“Okay, well here we are! Sorry again for running into you.” His
voice sounded sincere.
‘I am quite happy that you smacked into me.’ Shreya thought
mischievously.
“Before we part ways, I would like to know your name.” She flirted
knowing that probably she wouldn’t get a chance to meet him again.
“George.”
“Well Shreya, have a nice time. Bye,” he said in a hurry.

A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire

The Beginning 15

“Bye,” She said, feeling sad, not wanting him to leave her.
George nodded and walked away. She couldn’t help but
admire the view as he walked away. He didn’t even turn around to
exchange a single glance or a smile.
“Here you are?” Shreya’s friends said, approaching to her.
“Who was that guy?” Kunal asked anxiously, noticing Shreya’s
gaze chasing George.
“His name is George, we just happened to meet outside a
shop.” Shreya replied.
“He is God-damn handsome,” Sonali and Manisha remarked
in chorus. But their remark somehow offended Kunal.
“Yeah, he is,” Shreya said, heaving a deep sigh.
“Let’s proceed to beach.” Kunal interrupted, not in a mood to
hear someone else’s praise from Shreya’s mouth.
Goa is a mix of all kinds of people, from foreigners to localities’
and honeymoon couples to college students and is famous as a
drinking and drug paradise. There is only one law on drinking in
Goa, which is ‘No Law’. People are seen drinking in the streets at
day and night where alcohol of all sorts is sold at the cheapest rate
at every corner and at any time of the day.
Shreya was a little shy but wanted to start getting out more.
She never thought of herself as a beauty but only as an average
looking girl. However, Kunal used to remind her often that her
kind nature and impeccable beauty were her core assets.
This was her first holiday in Goa and indeed a special one as it
was going to change her entire life. Though, she had been to many
Indian holiday destinations before; one can vouch that the love
that kindled with Goa was going to always remain, therefore, it
was always going be the best holiday place for her.
Zooming across different parts of Goa along with her friends
made her feel better. Earlier, Shreya held the opinion that Goa
was very crowded and touristy, but now she felt it was just a
misconception or perhaps it was not the tourist season. On the

A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire

16 I Still Crave For Him

contrary, she found Goa more connected to village life. There were
coconut trees lining the shores and the ships sailing on the river
made a picture postcard view.
She found that people in Goa were friendly and also expect
same behavior from them. Transport was slightly expensive and
hence they had rented bikes because if one can drive a bike then
it’s not worth giving second thought and one should rent it from
day one in Goa.
Shreya was sitting behind Kunal, who used to drive very fast.
“Slow down,” she shouted from behind.
“You don’t know how to have fun,” Kunal chuckled.
“If I don’t like fun, then why would I have come to Goa,”
Shreya resisted.
“Ok, so let’s have some fun today,” Kunal said while stopping
outside a café.
“It’s my third visit to Goa; last time also I had come here. I love
this place St. Lucia for its Italian Pasta,” Kunal said to Shreya, who
had taken the seat next to him.
He ordered an Italian Pasta and Shark Sizzler with lemon rice.
“Umm, yummy,” Shreya tried to squeak with her mouth
stuffed with food.
“So you like Goa?” she asked Kunal.
“It’s my favorite holiday destination. Goa is just a different
world altogether in India. I feel completely liberated here and can
just chill and enjoy the sun, sea, and sand with liters of alcohol
and best of sea foods along with great lively music and lovely
ambience.” Kunal said enthusiastically in one breath.
“It’s not only a must visit destination, but a place where you
want to visit every year for your holidays.”
A foreigner who was approaching to them interrupted.
“Stefan, from UK” he extended his hand towards Kunal.
“Kunal from Delhi,” he shook hands with him.

A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire

The Beginning 17

Kunal noticed that Stefan’s hand was ice-cold. As he looked

into his eyes, he felt a strange thing and was spell bound to him.
“Last time I had visited Goa with my wife, but this time I am
alone here,” Stefan said in dismay.
“You should have brought her with you,” Shreya suggested.
“I would have, but she is no more,” Stefan shrugged.
“Oh! I am so sorry,” Shreya sympathized.
“It’s okay. I have come here to refresh my happy time memories
with her.” Stefan said while looking at Kunal’s face.
“Would you like to join us?” Kunal offered.
“Yeah! Sure. If your lady doesn’t have any problem,”
“It’s okay from my side,” Shreya was never too much interested
in Kunal. So, it was not like any private moment with him for her.
The group of three enjoyed talking to each other and sharing
each-others experiences.
It was Stefan, who paid the bill and by now he had made Kunal
a good friend.
As the sun prepared to leave for the day, Kunal found people
stopping cycles and bikes to catch a football match on the roadside
football ground. It made a pretty sight, similar to one he had
experienced long back.
“Wanna play?” Stefan asked Kunal, who was looking at the
boys playing football.
“May be some other day. Right now my friend is with me
and she may not be feeling comfortable.” Kunal said thoughtfully.
Though Kunal had always cared for Shreya and she knew it too but
she still didn’t have feelings for him.
The day was almost over. Shreya, feeling exhausted, retired in
her bed very early.
Kunal and the other friends were making plans to go to open
beach discos.

A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire

18 I Still Crave For Him

They visited a shack ‘Lucky Star’ on Baga beach where live

music was playing consisting mostly of rock music.
The Firangs and Indians of all ages and walks were dancing
away there on those songs with bottles in their hand. The
atmosphere was exhilarating with music and clatter of people.
Kunal loved that place. The only thing he felt lacking was
Shreya. He missed her. Moving a bit far away from the music, he
made a call to her.
“Hello,” she replied in first ring.
“You picked up the phone so soon, that means you are not
sleeping,” Kunal jumped at the conclusion.
“Then what? How does that make a difference?” She asked
sluggishly.
“That makes a great difference. You said, you are here for fun
and now you are missing most of the fun part.” Kunal commented
back.
“Where are you?” She asked with closed eyes.
“We all are in an open disco, you know this place rocks. I am
coming to bring you here, just be ready,” Kunal cut the phone
without listening to any further argument of Shreya.
Now she had to get ready as she knew Kunal very well. After
all, he was her school time friend. Kunal was the only child of
affluent parents. Though he was good looking, liked Shreya very
much and could offer her all the desired things, but Shreya was
never inclined to him. But still they were always together. Most
of people used to take them as a couple except their close friends,
who all knew very well that only Kunal had a crush on Shreya.
“Hey Man,” Stefan greeted Kunal, who, had just started his
bike.
“Oh! You are also here. I didn’t notice you,” Kunal said abruptly.
‘But I have been noticing you from the day you can’t even
think.’ Stefan said to himself and then muttered, “Where is your

girlfriend?”
“She is only my friend,” Kunal said in a low voice.
“You two look amazing together. She should be your girlfriend,”
Stefan said unbelievably, rolling his eyes like a teenager though he
was in the thirties.
“Hmm, but she doesn’t love me, I don’t know why.” With a
long sigh, Kunal consented.
“Fine, you leave this on your friend.” Stefan said confidently.
“Really, but how will you help me.” Kunal looked at him
surprisingly but the confident look on Stefan’s face made him
believe. There was something about Stefan that was pulling Kunal
towards him. They had just met today only, but Kunal had a feeling
of comradeship with him for years.
“Now you go and bring your lady here with you and enjoy the
party.” It was like Stefan was commanding and Kunal was following
his all commands.
When Kunal was gone, the guy who was staring at Shreya
badly outside the airport reached to Stefan.
“Hi, Adam.”
“Did you tell him something?” Adam asked, as he continued
to look here and there.
“No, let the right time come,” said Stefan.
“We can’t wait much. He is also here. ” Adam said in disgust.
“Who?” Stefan wondered.
“George.” Adam replied with horror in his eyes.

Chapter 2

He Was So Irresistible

We can’t resist when love seeks the heart,

Such is the way of love always predestined, never sought.
He was simply irresistible,
A perfection, without compare.
There was no man, out there, to match him, no man, out there, as perfect.
With his vibrant, carefree, loving, personality,
He Was So Irresistible.
His lovely, luscious, lips. I’d given anything, for just one kiss.
He Was So Irresistible.
When I heard his Serene Voice I start to itch... with desire.
When I saw his Voluptuous Body I start to evaporate... with lust.
When I smelled his Sweet Scent swirling around me, I faint... with love.
His eyes stirred, such passion, in me, when I looked, into them,
I was taken, to another world of magic and wonder.
Irresistible,
He Was So Irresistible.
Every bit, of his redolence, so irresistible, to me.
Irresistible, his smile, his way.
I don’t know, what it was, exactly, but I was just, spelled by him.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

He Was So Irresistible 21

Shreya hated getting up early on a holiday unless she was

missing something really amazing. By the time she got up – it was
6 am, which is very early according to her standard. The beach was
hardly five minutes away from their hotel. It was a fine morning.
There was a gentle wind blowing and the sea was as calm as glass
and looked awesome. She decided to check out the sea. She went
close to the shore, removed her heavy Reebok footwear, and took
a walk on the soft sand towards Calangute. She felt a tickling in
her feet due to sand slipping through them. After walking for a
kilometer she took a walk back and headed to the beach shack.
Shreya found her friends playing in the water or participating
in a number of water sports that are available at the beach. Her
eyes were searching for someone else and her search didn’t end
until she noticed George enjoying his morning while sitting in a
lounge chair on the beach and playing a violin.
Shreya felt content watching him playing a soothing music,
which appeared as if it belongs to some old times, depicting a
romantic saga. Feeling so spell bound to him, she couldn’t resist
but to stand near him gazing incessantly.
George was wearing a loose white cotton shirt with front buttons
open, which was giving a slight glimpse of his muscular body.
‘What are you doing here?’ Kunal’s voice sounded monstrous
to her as he pulled her by hand towards their friends group.
Kunal could see the strange smug on her beautiful face. She
had the eyes of a divine angel – big and mesmerizing calling for
love and attention, a perfectly crafted nose, perfect bright pink lips
and a flawless milky white complexion. She looked a really a divine
angel to him.
Turning, Shreya gave a last look to George, who was too busy
playing his violin to notice her.
Now, Shreya was at a good distance where she couldn’t hear
the sound of his violin but its enchanting music was still filling her
heart with joy.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

22 I Still Crave For Him

“This one is for you,” Kunal whispered in her ear, putting a

flowery hat on her head.
‘Wow, it’s beautiful. Thanks.’ Shreya said, rolling her eyes.
“Nothing can be more beautiful than you,” Kunal’s tone was
flattering.
Kunal gave her a long stare. Hours at the gym had defined
every muscle in Shreya’s body to perfection. Her hair was long
and dark black, natural of course. She had pretty black eyes and a
round shaped face. Most of the guys had already paid her enough
attention.
Shreya paused briefly to consider how embarrassing the next
few minutes might be if Kunal would act anything further.
Their awkward moment passed hearing Manisha and Abhay,
who were calling them to join some foolish argument between them.
“Manisha, you are looking slim today.” Abhay admired her.
“Thank you.” Manisha replied as a blush went to her face.
“But still I would advise not to go into the sea,” As Abhay spoke
those words everyone looked at his face inquisitively.
“Still, there is probability that if you go in, half of the sea water
may come out on the shore, drowning all of us.” Abhay giggled.
Manisha made a noise that sounded more like a growl.
“If it is so, then I would love to see you dying drowning”
Manisha chuckled to herself.
“Want to buy coconut water?” A child of around ten years
asked their group.
“Don’t you go to school?” Shreya asked anxiously.
“If he will go to school, then who will earn?” Asked his mother
who was following him.
“What does his father do?” Shreya began to get impatient.
“Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish
and you get rid of him for the whole weekend” Smiled the woman.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

He Was So Irresistible 23

Kunal departed the child and woman buying a watery coconut

for Shreya.
“See, who is coming?” Abhay pointed to Sonali who was
approaching to them.
“Today you are awake so early?” Shreya asked her sarcastically.
“Yeah, I love this place.” Sonali said looking around.
“The best thing about Goa is here every beach is close to the
water and you all know that I love swimming.” Sonali commented
again.
Sonali was offended finding everyone laughing at her
comment.
“You guys consider yourself smarter to me?” asked Sonali
arching a brow.
They looked away trying not to reveal their funny expressions
to her.
It seemed that Sonali had taken their talks seriously.
Bending, she took some sand in her right hand and said,
gritting her teeth, “I Sonali Sharma, hereby invite you all to take a
‘Sea Quiz’ with me. Only the winner would be considered as the
smartest chap of our group.
They all were stunned by the idiotic tone of her voice. But they
had no other option than to accept her challenge.
They sat in a circle. Sonali in black shiny hair with classy goggles
was looking sweet and stupid at the same time due to her actions.
“Shall we start the ‘Sea Quiz’?” asked Sonali fluttering her
eyelashes.
“Yeah, sure,” Abhay seemed equally ready to tease her.
She paused for a brief second and then again muttered
“Winner will be awarded with this.” She pulled Shreya’s hat and
kept it, in between.
“This hat signifies that the winner has the best knowledge of
Sea World, so he/she should be chosen as our guide to sea world.”

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

24 I Still Crave For Him

“But this is female hat. I am having a funny feeling in advance

that how Kunal or Abhay would look like wearing this girl hat.”
giggled Manisha.
“Just trust yourself. God has naturally made girls smarter than
boys and today under this open sky and near the ocean, God has
entrusted us with his pious obligation to defeat man and break
their false pride.” Sonali sneered at Abhay.
“Oh, that’s cheating. You have very smartly got the girls on
your side.” Abhay and Kunal spoke in chorus.
“I know I am smart,” said Sonali proudly fluttering her collar.
“It is just now you need to know that.” There was an unusual shine
in her eyes.
Shreya pulled her neck up and looked in the direction where
George was sitting playing his Violin. Perhaps he was no more
sitting there. She looked here and there to find any trace of him.
But he was not visible.
“Here comes the first question of the quiz,” Sonali muttered
“What does one sea say to another sea?”
“What?” Abhay said.
He had not expected such kind of question, but indeed from
Sonali they could expect any kind of damn question … anything.
Everybody gave Sonali a blank stare revealing they don’t know
the answer.
“Nothing, sea just waves” Sonali said in a casual tone.
“Here comes question number two.” As she spoke this time,
everyone seemed to be better prepared than the first time.
“Where do all rivers begin and end?
“All rivers begin from mountains and end up in an ocean.”
Abhay answered in no second.
“Wrong.” Sonali looked at him and spoke like as if a class
teacher was dealing with the dullest student of her class.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

He Was So Irresistible 25

“All Rivers begin with R and end with S.” She gave all of them
a stupid answer plus a stupid smile for free.
“Next question is - Who is the ruler of weather?”
Again, all gave her a blank stare. Even Abhay didn’t dare to
speak this time. “Rain (Reign)” Sonali blinked.
“Why can’t we reduce Sea water?.... You Shreya” Sonali asked
as she watched Shreya looking backside. “Who said we can’t reduce
sea water. We only need to send Manisha in the sea.” Shreya’s voice
was humorous. They all laughed at her joke, except Sonali. Who
seemed to taking the quiz very seriously?
“Wrong answer.” She burst out. “You guys don’t seem to apply
simple logics.”
“Actually ‘Duce’ isn’t a word, so we can’t do it again.” Sonali
explained.
“Where does a ship go when it’s sick?” Here came another
question of Sea Quiz from Sonali.
Manisha said, musing for some time “To the DOCK”
“Ok! You are right. I told you girls are smarter than guys.”
Sonali grumbled.
“What do you call a witch who lives on the beach?” Abhay
poured a same type of stupid question over Sonali.
“I think a sandwich!” Sonali replied, scratching her head.
Her answer had made Abhay look dumb. Now this was the
turn of Kunal to fire some equally stupid question over girls’ party
to outwit them.
“What’s the best day to go to the beach?”
“Sun-Day” Shreya replied in no time.
“Okay tell me how do men exercise at the beach?” Manisha
came up with her question.
“By swimming, sea sport.” replied Kunal in a light tone.
Men exercise at the beach by sucking in their stomachs every
time they see a bikini.

26 I Still Crave For Him

And the three girls started laughing mercilessly over the boys.
“Oh God! Girls!!” Kunal gave them a scary expression.
“Bro, don’t ask God for help. Even He is helpless when it comes
to understand a girl.”
“Ok…Ok…I’m sorry, no more. What are you up to? I’m just
tidying up my room.” Sonali chuckled putting the hat on her head.
Shreya noticed George passing by near them. A part of her
wanted to go and talk to him, to chase him, but she remained
seated in her place.
“Hey Shreya! Look, your foreigner going from here.” Poonam,
who had just arrived, pointed to George, watching him moving
from nearby.
Poonam’s words gave a kind of support to Shreya and she
spurred into action. Standing, she hurriedly moved towards George.
“Hey hey,” she said from his back.
George kept walking. It seemed as if he had not heard her
voice.
“Hello George,” Shreya said again in a high pitch, making her
voice more audible.
This time she had left George with no other option. He had to
reply for a general courtesy.
“Oh, Hello! It’s you calling me.” George turned back to greet her.
As she walked with him, she felt herself more alive by just
being near him. But she was also feeling nervous and George could
figure out why. He was the type of guy who every girl wanted.
“You are a great musician,”
“Am I?”
“Yeah, I was so lost in your music.”
“That’s why you approached me, right here?” George gave her
a devilish smile with an inquisitive look.
“No, not exactly.”

He Was So Irresistible 27

Before Shreya could speak further, he changed the topic by

offering her a drink.
“I’ll take a soft drink only.”
“Sure,”
Shreya sat around the table unsure of what she should talk
about. Small talk had never been her strong suit.
“So, George, you are here for the holidays?”
“Yeah, sort of.”
Shreya gave him a questioning look.
“It’s a business trip too. I am into business of precious stones
and gems.”
“Oh! That’s cool.”
George was enjoying his drink more silently, whereas, Shreya
was more talkative. It was the first time in her life that she was
trying to flirt with any guy. Until now, only guys had tried on her.
Shreya was feeling so great until she noticed that someone was
badly staring at her. Reading her facial expressions George turned
around to see who. There was a creepy looking man with shoulder
length blond hair and sunglasses, sitting across the other table
alone. He seemed to be giving them a dirty look. Shreya recognized
that he was the same foreigner guy who was continuously staring
her at the airport.
“Who is he?” George asked. Shreya looked shocked at seeing
the man, as if she knew him.
“Nobody, he looks familiar, he was badly staring me when I
had landed on airport.”
The creepy man gave George an evil grin and made a hasty
retreat. Shreya wanted to talk to George for long, but he took
her pardon and left her alone. Shreya felt strange about his act,
he shouldn’t have abruptly left her alone like this, especially when
someone was badly eying her. Like George that creepy man had
also left and to her surprise he was also not visible anywhere.

28 I Still Crave For Him

“Baby here you are,” Kunal put his hands on her shoulders
from behind, making her jump in shock.
“How was your date with Firangi?” he said in an envious tone.
“It was great,” she said in a harsh tone, feeling irritated on his
remark.
“Oh! Honey, he is really damn handsome,” Sonali and Manisha
said in the chorus who had just reached for them.
“So who won that ‘Sea Quiz’,” Shreya tried to change the topic.
“It’s still going on, and now I’ll ask questions to you girls.” Abhay
who was probably working on his questions spoke from a distance.
Now they all sat around the table.
“So my first question is for you Sonali.”
“Me?” Sonali pointed a finger towards herself in disbelief.
“Yes, you, Miss Beauty with brain.” He remarked sarcastically.
Sonali gave him a creepy look that made him change his
decision.
“Okay, relax I’ll put three questions to you all three girls, any
one of you can answer anyone.”
Sonali and Manisha nodded but there was no reaction from
Shreya as if she wasn’t present there. Kunal was silently observing
her mood.
“Here are my questions” and Abhay came out with three
terrific questions.
“Where do fish wash?
He looked at the faces of all three girls expecting no one of
them to answer. He was right, no girl had the answer.
“In a river basin.” He himself answered while giving Sonali a
winning look.
“Alright my second question is- what day of the week does fish
hate?”
“I think…Umm…Yeah..Fryday,” Manisha came up with a
brilliant answer.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

He Was So Irresistible 29

“Right.” Abhay felt bad getting a right answer from the girl’s
side which he hadn’t expected.
“Where do fish keep their money?” He came up with his final
question.
Shreya was only half listening to them, since she was expecting
George to return at any moment.
“On the river bank.” Finally Poonam, who was not part of ‘Sea
Quiz’ answered, when the three girls seemed clueless.
“Hey guys, here you are. Mr. Sunil Yadav is asking everyone to
assemble in our hotel restaurant for lunch.” One of their classmates
informed them.
While, they were on the way to their hotel room, Shreya’s eyes
were unknowingly searching for George. But there was no trace
of him.
After lunch, she felt like having some rest as she was not
accustomed to waking up early.
Shreya arrived at her hotel room, which was nicely decorated
with neutral colors accented with violet, which is her favorite color.
As Shreya put on her nightgown and got ready for bed, she
couldn’t help thinking about talks shared with George. She was
thinking about how she would pick up where they had left off,
if he hadn’t left so abruptly. More than one hour passed, before
she could feel sleepy. Finally, she crawled into bed and slowly fell
asleep. But soon her sleep was disturbed as she heard some noise
in her room. She couldn’t believe what she saw. George has been
just right in front of her.
“George, what are you doing here? What do you want?” Her
heart was pounding heavily and unevenly.
“I want you, my beautiful princess.” George replied, with lust
in his eyes.
Shreya began to wonder what she was supposed to do now.
He pulled off his shirt and walked slowly towards Shreya. She
stared incredulously.

She caught the sight of his muscular build and broad shoulders.
He lifted her nightgown off as soon he reached her. His lips met
hers. She parted her lips as he tasted her with his tongue. She
moaned as he kissed her, his hands cupping her generous breasts.
Shreya moaned again in response as he lay with her on the bed.
“That feels so good.” The pleasure she felt from just his kisses
was making her crazy with desire.
“I want you Shreya. Do you want me?” As she began to relax,
George whispered in her ear.
“Oh yes, more than anything.” Shreya immediately admitted,
as she moaned.
Shreya woke up and felt the moisture. She was breathing so
hard. It was eight at night and she just had a wet dream. Her first
ever wet dream that she felt so real.
She closed her eyes again and started to think about her dream,
hoping that she could experience the real thing someday.
The first thing she did after waking was to get a view outside
from the room window. A palm tree was leaning on the left, barely
a hundred meter away. Beyond that she saw yellow light emanating
from three ships on the Arabian Sea, lined and kissing the water
beneath. She leaned over the balcony and patted herself for taking
the wise decision of coming to Goa.
She noticed that her phone was vibrating.
“Hello!”
“How are you and where were you? Isn’t this your responsibility
to inform me that you are safe there?” Her brother Akhil asked
from the other side of the phone.
“I am fine, I was just sleeping.” She replied in a calm voice.
“Sleeping…umm…is your health good?”
“Yes bro, just don’t worry.”
She hung up the phone after a small conversation.
The night had been eventless yet.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

He Was So Irresistible 31

Shreya was getting ready for the open beach night party. She
tried her best to look nice but wasn’t sure how she should dress. She
hadn’t tried to allure any guy before. She left her hair down since she
decided to straighten her wavy and sometimes unpredictable hair.
“Well, is it George honey?” asked Poonam reaching to her.
“How’d you know?”
“I’ve noticed the way you light up when you talk about him.”
Poonam said smiling.
“Well, he is really very handsome, a kind of man whom every
woman dreams of.” said Shreya with a big smile.
“But I am not sure whether he likes me or not...” Shreya walks
over to her and held her hands in worry.
“I hope he will also fall for you. You are also one in lakhs.
But always remember we may control a lot of things but love isn’t
one of them.” Poonam said looking at the worried expression on
Shreya’s face.
Shreya smiled, relieved to hear that her best friend approved
her attraction to a foreign man.
The sky was studded with bright stars and the air was a little
cold as it blew against Shreya, tousling her long black hair. She had
just arrived on the beach.
“You look very festive tonight.” Kunal said in amazement
looking at her hungrily.
“When did you find me less beautiful?” She raised a fine dark
eyebrow in his direction.
“When did you ever look any less beautiful?” Kunal said in a soft
voice and closed his eyes as if he was capturing her beauty in his mind.
When Kunal opened his eyes, he saw Shreya looking
somewhere else rather than at him. Her act offended him.
“Are you looking for someone?” Kunal said and Shreya realized
that she was unknowingly looking for George.
Kunal looked down into her eyes, wishing with all of his heart
that he was better with words and could tell her everything he held

inside. Reaching out to her, he smiled to alleviate her worry and

then brushed his fingers down her cheek, sweeping the strands of
her hair from her face and caressing her soft warm skin.
“Come-on, let’s dance,” Poonam pulled Shreya by her hand
compelling her to dance.
Soon, the group was swinging on rock beats. Shreya was not
a great dancer, but she was doing okay. Her concentration was
actually towards finding George rather than on dancing.
Her gaze fell to the wooden chair beneath a tree. She noticed
George, who was sitting on it and could rarely bear to take his eyes
off her. He seemed very lonely to her.
Leaving her group secretly she reached where he was sitting.
The moment George’s gaze lit on her, he froze. Shreya was
looking radiant. Her long black hair was open and tonight she
wore a sleek party gown of shiny red silk, which hugged her perfect
figure and cut low across her breasts in a V shape.
She was beautiful. So beautiful that he felt as though he might
fall in love with her.
She moved an armchair near the fireplace and the tree. The
tree was sparkling with lights, tinsel and baubles.
“Why aren’t you dancing?” she tried to initiate a talk with him.
“Well, I don’t want others to make jealous with my dance.”
there was a proud attitude in his tone.
Shreya never liked arrogant people but somehow it seemed to
suit George’s personality. She wasn’t sure that he really danced as
well as he was asserting but she hoped she would be wrong.
“So you want to test my dancing skills?” George chuckled as if
he had read her mind.
“How do you know that?” Shreya asked, trying to keep their
conversation going.
Shreya stared at his mouth and losing herself in the thought
of kissing.
She forgot what they were talking about or even they were

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

He Was So Irresistible 33

having any conversation. She was looking at him madly.

George didn’t show complete indifference to her that night.
She felt happy at the change in his behavior.
“Would you like to dance with me?” George whispered in her
ear and he smiled for a moment. She felt thrilled.
George took her hand and they approached the dance floor.
His cold touch made her heart thud erratically. George took a
step toward her that made her eyes alight with curiosity. Shreya’s
eyes were wary and hesitant. George smiled encouragingly and
beckoned to her, assuring everything is fine, taking another step
towards her. He held up her one hand and put another hand
around her waist, and she hesitated, rocking back onto her heels.
Dancing, Shreya stared at him, taking in his height, and muscled
build. The black jumper emphasized his blue jeans beautifully. He
looked sleek but powerful.
She glanced down at herself. For the first time she felt herself
tender and beautiful. The loud music was rocking. George felt in
himself an urge to dance in his full swing, so he did.
Minutes later the dance floor was almost empty, with people
watching and praising George’s amazing dance. Shreya had never
seen so much flexibility and quickness in anybody’s dance. She
found herself unable to keep pace with him, so like others now she
was also enjoying watching him dancing. Kunal swallowed, not
quite able to find the words to express his anger to Shreya.
As soon as the song ended, George bowed down in front of all
and ended his dance dramatically like professional dancers.
Everyone present there clapped and he had attracted several
women present there in just few minutes.
Shreya felt a thrill of excitement, which swiftly turned to
impatience.
“Let’s go, we are getting late.” Kunal asked their group showing
his watch.

34 I Still Crave For Him

“Good Night, Shreya.” George’s amber gaze darted to hers for

a moment and then away. A sure smile tugged at his lips and she
smiled back too, sensing that he was enjoying her eyes on him.
“Good night.” She said with a heavy heart though she didn’t
want to leave him.
He stared at her, bewildered by her sad expression.
“Do you really wish to leave so soon?” George teased,
pretending to scowl.
“I have to.” Shreya walked forward till she was close beside
him, anxious not to waste one second of whatever time she might
have with him.
Kunal frowned at her, struggling to understand her tone and
expression.
“What’s wrong?” Kunal asked, in his bumpy voice.
“See you later, George.” Shreya answered dully.
He smiled, holding her glance, trying to lift her out of her
sudden, unexplained depression.
Shreya tried to smile back, but her smile was unconvincing.
He scrutinized her face.
“I’ll drop you.” he promised.
His words made her feel grateful and somewhat delighted, but
then she looked at Kunal and Poonam who were waiting for her only.
“Sorry, I have to leave with my group.” Shreya said acidly.
“Come, dear,” Kunal quickly held her by her arm and looked
furiously into George’s eyes, who by now was looking at them.
“You have a great choice.” Poonam, who was sharing a hotel
room with Shreya, said to her while they were about to sleep.
“But I don’t know if he feels the same way for me?” Shreya sighed.
“Of course he does. The way he was looking at you today that
really meant something.” Poonam assured her.
It took them around half an hour to sleep.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

He Was So Irresistible 35

The next day when they woke up it was already 10 am. They
had slept for long. Today was their last day in Goa as next morning
they were going to catch a flight for Delhi. This had already made
Shreya feel low. She had to tell her feelings to George before they
left for Delhi.
Taking a light breakfast they raced on the beach for water
sports.
“Hey Kunal!” Shreya patted him on his back, finding him
already present there.
“Oh! You are also here,” Shreya felt surprised to find Stefan was
standing next to Kunal.
“So, are you enjoying your holidays in Goa?” Stefan asked her.
“Yeah! A lot.” she replied in a cheerful voice.
“Today we are going to enjoy water sports.” Kunal informed him.
“Great, me too.” Stefan shrugged.
“People are saying that the sea is rough today and we shouldn’t
be doing water sports today,” Poonam interrupted from behind.
“Who cares, we are here for today only.” Kunal said in a
carefree tone.
“Fine, but I won’t let Shreya to do that, she even doesn’t know
swimming,” Poonam revolted.
“I am a great swimmer, I’ll take care of you Shreya.” By saying
this, Stefan agreed Shreya for water sports.
“We are also in, their friends Sonali, Abhay and Manisha
screamed coming towards them.
Now Poonam was left alone with no choice.
Shreya could sense that.
“I am not going to do that, unless you come with me.” Shreya
took Poonam in, with her threat.
They all wore lifesaving jackets and started enjoying water
rides.
They did, Jet Ski, boat ride, Para sailing, and many more
adventurous sports. Fortunately, all went well.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

36 I Still Crave For Him

After water sports they were on the sea shore, playing in sea
water, splashing it at each other. Kunal was enjoying swimming
with Stefan and Sonali. Poonam, Abhay, Shreya and Manisha were
not going in deep.
Swimming with great power and speed, Stefan came near to
Shreya and looked into her eyes deeply. Shreya felt spell bounded
as if he was controlling her mind. Stefan was again gone away in
deep water. He looked at Shreya from a distance. Even though
Shreya didn’t know how to swim, she started going into deep
water. It was almost a suicidal act. A vague nagging in the pit of
her stomach told her that for some reason it was a very bad idea,
but she didn’t stop as if mesmerized by the sea.
“Go, save her, and win her heart.” Stefan said quickly to Kunal,
who was enjoying floating over water like a corpse. His words made
Kunal sprung into action. He started swimming fast towards her.
Poonam, who had been busy talking, just noticed her. “Shreya
come back” she shouted at the top of her lungs.
Shreya was going farther into the sea as if she had lost her
senses. Now, the water was almost near her mouth, but she didn’t
stop. Poonam’s heart was beating badly and unevenly, she herself
didn’t know swimming.
“Someone please save her.” she shouted badly. Her face had
almost become red.
As foretold, the sea was rough on the day. A powerful wave
came and drowned Shreya taking her beneath the water. She
regained her senses as the water started chocking her breath and
taking away her life.
Kunal was approaching towards her quickly as he could. The
situation soon worsened as she was nowhere to be seen.
By now, life guards too had dived into the sea, attempting to
save her. People had heard Poonam’s shrieks.
Lifeguards were away from Shreya and death was near her.
Faces of her dead parents and her loving brother floated in front
of her eyes. She closed her eyes as she had succumbed to death.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

He Was So Irresistible 37

Water had made it hard for her to breathe anymore. Now, she only
wanted this pain to end as soon as possible.
Then suddenly out of nowhere George appeared, pulling her
out of water, putting his best efforts. He carried her to the seashore.
“Open your eyes,” Poonam cried.
“She will be fine,” George assured Poonam and same time
pressed her chest to get water out of the lungs.
Coughing badly, Shreya opened her eyes in a couple of seconds.
She saw, George, Poonam, Sonali, and many more leaning
over and watching her anxiously.
“You scared the hell out of me!” Kunal, who had just reached
there, hugged her desperately elevating her head from the ground.
His eyes were red with tears and face was white with fear.
George furiously looked at Kunal.
“Thank you,” Kunal said to him and he really meant that this time.
George put his last glance over Shreya and left that place
without saying a single word to anyone.
As he turned and took some steps, someone very strong and
cold like him, knocked into him. It was Stefan.
“You will pay for this.” George said with no shortage of hatred.
“Do you really want to keep her alive? We both know, it’s just a
matter of time.” Stefan chuckled.
“Why have you come to India?” George said in disgust.
“Even I want to know the same. What do you want with this
girl?” asked Stefan again in a louder voice.
Adam, who had just reached to them muttered, “We both can
kill you in this instance, but let our king have this pleasure.”
“He was never a king and Natalie’s curse will never allow him
to be a king.” George shouted in their faces fearlessly.
“Then let Natalie take her curse back this time.” Stefan threw

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

George away with all his strength and both Stefan and Adam
disappeared from that place in no time.
George recovered himself. His head had hurt badly with a
palm tree and had started bleeding. Though his wound seemed
ghastly he had recovered quickly.
All of Shreya’s classmates were ordered to assemble in their
hotel restaurant.
“No more adventure for today.” Their faculty Mr. Sunil Yadav
exploded.
Tonight we have party on beach exclusively for our group only,
no more infiltration, and no one is allowed to leave the group.
Those who don’t want to attend the party can stay in the hotel, but
no more outing is allowed elsewhere.”
“But sir…” Abhay tried to cut his statement.
“No if ’s and but’s, it’s me who is responsible for your safe
return. If something had happened to Shreya today, I would have
been caught in a very bad situation.” Mr. Sunil Yadav made his
point clear.
Shreya wasn’t interested in going to the party, but it was her
last night in Goa and she had to take George’s address or a contact
number before leaving Goa.
“What happened to you today? Why didn’t you listen to me,
when I was shouting for you to return?” Poonam had asked this
question to Shreya more than ten times, but Shreya had only one
answer “I don’t know.”
The night was roaring with party on sea beach. Loud
thunderous music and smell of seafood had filled the scene.
Shreya was not dancing and was just sitting nearby, sipping a
soft drink.
Suddenly, her face lightened up as she saw George coming
towards her. She looked at Poonam with joy.
“He is here, coming towards us.” There was an unending joy in

the Shreya’s voice.

“Wow!!!” said Poonam turning back to have his sight. But he
was visible nowhere.
Shreya’s joyful expressions turned dark. “I had seen him, but
now…” she started frantically looking around.
“Girl, you have gone mad in his love. People say lovers become
blind but your vision has doubled.” Poonam chuckled but her
laugh faded away when she noticed despair on Shreya’s face. She
was about to cry.
“Don’t worry. If he was here, then he will certainly come to
you.” She tried to calm Shreya. Shreya hurriedly got up and started
looking for George with Poonam.
“Hey, you are not with him?” Sonali asked from behind.
“Whom?” Shreya asked, narrowing her eyes.
“Your Firangi,”
“You saw him here?” Shreya asked swiftly.
“Yes, I thought he was coming to you.” Sonali replied.
“That means you were right.” Poonam looked at Shreya with
approval.
“Please help me finding him.”
The group of three started searching for his whereabouts. But
their quest proved futile.
“I must look for him somewhere else on the beach.” Shreya
said in desperation.
“But Mr. Sunil won’t allow us to leave the party.” Sonali made
a face.
“Look, it’s my last chance. Tomorrow we won’t be here again.”
Shreya face was glistening with tears.
“Fine then, I am also coming with you.” Poonam asserted.
“No, you guys stay here. If anyone will ask for me then tell that
I am in the washroom. If we all will disappear from here, then we

might be caught.” Saying this Shreya left secretly.

“George, George … George …” Shreya was calling his name
madly.
She looked for him, everywhere she could possibly find him,
but there was no trace of him.
Suddenly a voice caught her attention. “Are you looking
for someone lady?” The sight of the person to whom this voice
belonged almost scared her.
It was the same odd man who was first staring her at the
airport and then when she was having a cold drink with George.
This was Adam.
Without saying a word to him, she ran as quickly as if she had
seen a ghost.
“Oops! Your lady is not as courageous as a Vampire’s girlfriend
should be.” Stefan said to George, freeing him.
It was a sleepless night for Shreya. She was cursing herself for
not asking George’s contact number before.
Next morning filled her with more pain and despair. She
waited for George until they entered the airport.
Her eyes and nose had become red.
“Don’t worry, we will find him somehow.” Poonam attempted
to console her yet she herself doubted her words.
“Leave it. It’s over. Now I won’t be ever able to meet him.”
Shreya said genuinely by being realistic.

Chapter 3

Unconditional Love

My love for you is like raindrops on flowers...Unconditional.

My love for you is like a rainbow at a splashing waterfall...Unconditional.
My love for you is like a full moon shining through a cloudy night sky...
Unconditional.
I know you will never fully understand,
How you’ve touched my life and made me who I am.
I used to always be empty,
I was always missing a part of me,
I was never happy,
Until I found my something,
My special angel.
I know you could never know just how truly special you are,
That even on the darkest nights you are my brightest star.
I’ve always been an average girl,
Who’s never had anything out of the ordinary?
Until I met you.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

42 I Still Crave For Him

I know you will never fully comprehend,

How you’ve opened my heart to love and the wonders it can do.
Allowing me to experience unconditional love that exists in my body, soul,
and mind.
I love you with all my soul, My love for you is unconditional!

Though Goa tour was over there was still no sign of any
abetment in Shreya’s crush over George. Shreya opened her eyes,
feeling groggy, and sick to her stomach. The first thing that hit her
was the memory of the George’s brilliant look. He was a dream.
No, it was even much better. He seemed so irresistible to her that
she couldn’t even describe it.
She was lying on her bed. She sat up and felt a severe headache.
She tried to stand up leaning against the wall.
“My Gudia is getting late for college.” Akhil said entering the room.
“Why didn’t you wake me up on time?” Shreya asked as he
scowled at her.
“Why are you sounding so low since the day you returned from
Goa,” Akhil said in a little concerned tone fluttering his eyes at her.
“No, I am just… I am perfectly fine.” Shreya looked away
trying not to reveal her expression.
“Hi Shreya,”
“Hey Sonali. How are you girl?” Shreya asked her entering her
classroom.
“I am perfectly fine, but you don’t seem fine, do you?” Sonali
said with concern in her eyes.
“I am okay,” Shreya said, hiding her face from Sonali.
Shreya moved ahead and went to sit next to Poonam.
“Come on Shreya, more than ten days have passed since
our Goa trip. Just forget him, taking him as a stranger.” Poonam
sounded realistic.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

Unconditional Love 43

“I tried. But more I try, more I miss him,” Shreya said, taking
her head in her hands.
“I don’t think you are trying even a bit to forget that Firangi.”
Kunal, who had just reached them said in a harsh voice.
His words made Poonam and Shreya look at him enquiringly.
“Yesterday evening, while, browsing the internet in our
computer lab, I found someone had desperately searched for
George from London, from Goa, on all the websites and social
media as much as possible. Browsing history says you have visited
thousands of George’s profile on various social and businesses
networking websites. What an innovative way to forget!!!” Kunal
made mockery of her in front of all, this made Shreya offended.
Heat wave wasn’t the only thing making Delhi too hot for
Shreya. She’d been spending each night thinking about a man who
had set her body and heart on fire. The problem was that he was only
a dream. Like her many recent nights even today also she dreamt
of George. Her dream drifted her to the same place where she was
sitting with George at night under a tree, near the fireplace in Goa.
Shreya stared at George, who was holding her hand, with wide
eyes, her pupils large in the low glow of the fire, and the multi-
colored lights on the tree.
Shreya sighed and stroked her hand where he held it in his,
trapped against his chest.
“Did you miss me Shreya?” He whispered and she frowned at
him.
“Like hell.” Shreya’s eyes searched him, her frown melted away
and her eyebrows rising high.
“I can’t live without you. Please come back.” she said with a
trace of desire and a small shred of strength.
“Fine, just wait for me then.” George took her left hand from
his chest.
Her eyes fluttered open and she looked at him, questioning
and confused.

George absorbed the warmth of her skin and the growing

consciousness in her eyes. “Because I want you to be safe and
happy.” Standing up, he started moving away.
She started tracking back over his steps.
“Please come to me”, like other times she again woke up with
her eyes searching for him again.
Shreya was standing near the exit gate of Shoppers Stop when
she had a glimpse of George. It was unmistakably him. Shreya
could recognize him in a crowd of thousand people.
Her heart stopped momentarily and then started to thump
vigorously. Every muscle she had clenched up. ‘I am not going to lose
him this time’, she said to herself. She felt a flash of hope and hurriedly
dashed out of Shoppers Stop and started running as fast she could.
By the time, George had entered a lift that was gone, but Shreya
didn’t give up and started to follow staircase. Maybe she could
make it. Shreya found George moving out of the shopping mall.
He was not having any vehicle, yet Shreya was running after
him, but his extraordinary fast pace had made it hard for her to
follow him. Shreya was not going to give up.
‘George’ she shouted with her full strength. Luckily, he heard
someone calling his name and unluckily Shreya just got hit by a
four wheeler and was now lying on the road.
George looked back here and there but found no one behind
calling for him, so he was back on the path. The rising upheaval in the
background again made him to turn back and look for the matter.
Just a few yards away a crowd had gathered where Shreya was
lying injured.
George bent low over Shreya with his mouth open in shock as
he had recognized her. His heart banged. His leg muscles screamed.
He looked up and felt guilty. The girl who adored him was lying
injured and half conscious, right in the middle of the road.
Shreya opened her eyes to make sure that she was still alive.

Shreya’s breathing was ragged and strained. Every breath she took
and released hurt a little more. Blood crawled down her face. She
tried to push her eyebrows forward to keep it out of her eyes, but a
trickle still snuck in the corners and stung her.
Shreya clamped her eyes and mouth shut just in time. She felt
an ice-cold touch of George on her legs and behind her back. He
was carrying her in his arms now. She forcefully opened her eyes
to make sure it was George and she was not daydreaming again.
George didn’t wait for any help and just run with the speed
of bullet towards a nearby hospital. Though Shreya had been half
conscious but in her heart she felt good in spite of her injuries.
She felt choked and her throat burned. Her head hurt. She
tried to open her eyes and talk to George but she had fallen utterly
unconscious for several hours.
It took her sometime to gather where she was. Why was her
body paining so much? Was this a bad dream? A bandage was
wrapped around her head. She slowly opened her eyes partially
and looked at the ceiling above, which seemed unfamiliar. Then
last memories stroke her. The encounter with George rushed back
to her mind. She could think more clearly. ‘It’s George, who had
carried me here’, she recalled. George’s thought worked like a shot
of morphine taking every bit of the pain away.
A male voice said entering in the room. ‘Are you okay?’
‘Yes,’ Shreya said weakly. Shreya looked at his brother’s face
and she felt mortified. Akhil’s blotchy eyes were blood red and full
of tears. It looked like he had been crying for a long time. He sat
on the bed, hugged her, and started crying. His tears wet her top.
She felt a few teardrops percolate down her hospital robe and wet
her skin. A few tears find their way to Shreya’s eyes too. She wasn’t
sure if it’s because her only brother was crying for her or because
of whom she had come across this morning.
“Where is he?” Shreya furiously looked in all directions to find
any trace of George.

46 I Still Crave For Him

“Here I am, Baby,”

She heard a voice in the background, but she was sure that
this voice didn’t belong to George. She was right. It belonged to
her friend Kunal, who had just entered the hospital room with
Poonam and Sonali.
She faked a smile to Kunal, muttering “Where is the guy who
had brought me here, to the hospital?”
Her brother answered her query. “He was definitely a noble
fellow, it was him who had called me through your phone and
informed me about this disaster.”
“So now where is George? Why is he not present here?” Shreya
asked anxiously.
“He left as I reached here.” Her brother said calmly, not
knowing Shreya’s ulterior motive behind.
“Did you say George?” Both Kunal and Poonam asked with a
shock.
“Yeah, it was him, whom I was following before getting
knocked down.”
“That’s rubbish.” Kunal shook his head in disgust.
“By the way, who is George?” asked Akhil, arching his
eyebrows.
“Better ask your sister.” Kunal left the hospital room mumbling
these words.
Kunal couldn’t leave her alone. Not only because she was in
hospital, but because of the way that he felt about her.
He loved her too much.
Yet he wanted her to be happy and he knew that she couldn’t be
happy with him. Shreya had spent the past few days laying awake
and thinking about George. Her loneliness was beginning to show
more and more often.
Shreya took some time before answering to her brother who
was still looking at her in suspicion. Shreya obviously knew him

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

better than anyone. Even though Shreya was a grown up girl now,
but her brother was still as protective about her as he was when she
was a school going kid. She could still remember the recent fifteen
minutes lecture from her brother when she was going to Goa. Be
Careful, Don’t talk to strangers, don’t eat anything that any stranger
offers, don’t take a drink that any guy offers.
Had he known about her crush on George, he might have
confined her in a room. Obviously, she never wanted that to
happen. She realized her mistake of giving too much clue about
George to her brother.
“Our group had met him in Goa. It was just a formal meet.
I just saw him here so thought of talking to him,” Shreya said,
holding Poonam’s hands fearing the anger of her brother.
“I don’t know much about him than this.” There was a
hesitation in Shreya’s tone
“Oh, it’s okay.” Akhil said, staring at Poonam then back to his
sister.
Smiling, Shreya felt a rush of relief come over her.
“Who donated blood for me?” Shreya asked, knowing from
her external conditions that she was given blood, while, she was
unconscious.
Her brother gave her a big smile.
“No, you can’t.” She looked at his face in surprise as she knew
very well that Akhil had a blood phobia and he used to faint even
with a slight injury that caused blood to come out.
“I can do anything for you, my Gudia.” Akhil said running his
fingers on her head.
“Guys, it’s time to wait outside” an old aged nurse said entering
the room.
Shreya gave that nurse a friendly smile, seemed like she
wanted some extra favor from her. She used to give her innocent
and beautiful smile in childhood to doctors as if they will leave
her without any injection. But this time her smiled worked and

the nurse started to talk to her in a friendly manner. This time

the difference was that she wasn’t afraid of injection rather she
wanted to gather information from the nurse about the guy who
had brought her here.
“I am really thankful to that guy who had brought me here in
time.” She tried desperately to initiate the conversation regarding
George.
“Yeah, he is a great guy,” the nurse answered while measuring
her blood pressure.
Her words made Shreya hopeful that this nurse might be
having some conversation with George.
“Did he have a talk with you?”
“No.” Her answer made Shreya disappointed again, but still
she didn’t give up.
“You are saying this because even being a stranger, he took me
to hospital.”
“Yeah, but there is more to him.”
“And what is that?” her words gave a hope to Shreya.
“Though he might be a stranger to you, but the way he handled
your case shows his care.
“How?”
“It took your family around one and half hour to reach, but the
first one hour was really crucial for you and he made sure that he
and we do our best to save you from any potential harm. It was he
who persuaded our best doctor Mishra Ji to take your case, while,
Mishra Ji was really having a great busy schedule today. Then, in
minutes he supplied us all we needed.” The nurse said, putting the
BP instrument inside the box.
Shreya was stunned in amazement.
“Child don’t worry, you will be fine very soon,” said the old
nurse with a calming and assuring motherly voice.
“If he wouldn’t have been a foreigner we would have taken

him as your family member.” These were her last words while
dashing out from the room.
“Gudia, tonight I am staying here with you.” Shreya heard a
very familiar voice and then another familiar voice of “Me too”.
The first voice belonged to Akhil and second one was of Shreya’s
best friend Poonam.
The three spend some time together. Today, the chatterbox
Shreya was almost silent but she liked that Akhil and Poonam were
continuously chattering as she liked Poonam more than any girl in
this world. Shreya used to crack jokes with Poonam that one day she
should become her sister-in-law, so their bonding will get stronger.
“I am feeling thirsty.” Shreya pointed out towards the water.
“Would you also like to eat something.” her brother asked.
“Hmm, Pizza,” Shreya said smiling.
“You are not eating Pizza definitely. But I am going to ask
doctor that what light food I can offer you tonight.” remarked
Akhil while dashing out of the room.
“Did you really meet George?” Poonam said, reaching out
Shreya’s hand towards her.
“Yeah, I got stuck with a car while following him.”
“You are a crazy girl.” said Poonam with a worried look
washing over her as she looked at Shreya’s wounds.
“Yeah, I am crazy for George.” said Shreya chuckling.
“So now what, you got his contact number?” Poonam’s words
wiped the smile out of Shreya’s innocent face as she realized that
she had actually lost George again. It was too much for her to bear.
Being Shreya’s lifetime best friend Poonam could easily read
her facial expressions.
Poonam said firmly, “Don’t worry. Soon you will be with him.”
“But really, how can you say that?”
“My intuition. And moreover, if he didn’t mean to be in your

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

life, then he wouldn’t have met you again. Can’t you see a divine
wish in it? One day your destiny will compel him to meet you.”
“I don’t believe in destiny, but I believe in you and your words.”
Shreya replied softly squeezing Poonam’s hand.
Suddenly, they both went silent as they heard footsteps of
Akhil.
“Sorry sis, today you will be only on liquid diet. I am going out
to get some pure juice for you.”
“It’s okay. But take Poonam with you and both of you eat
something,”
“No, I don’t want to leave you alone.” Poonam resisted.
“I want to sleep now.” Shreya pretended. She wanted Akhil and
Poonam to spend some time together.
“Okay, take care.”
Akhil and Poonam went out for dinner, leaving her alone to sleep.
Shreya closed her eyes and tried to sleep. She could hear
hospital sounds in the background. It had been almost one month
that she had first met George in Goa. She missed him since then.
Before meeting him she used to think that it’s cool to live alone, but
now her thoughts were not same. She missed sunny Goa days. She
missed his morning sight on the beach, although Kunal was always
there for her, but she was never drawn to him the way she was
towards George. She tried to sleep but as soon as she closed her eyes,
it all came back to her. She tried to push George’s memories out
of her head. She desperately needed a distraction. Maybe thinking
about something else would help but she was really not having
anything so special or any great moment of her life to remember.
All she had was pain and misery in her life. First, she lost her father
at a very tender age, then she had seen her Mom working like
animals day and night to bring them up and then even her mother
died, when she was only fifteen. It was her elder brother Akhil, who
had brought her up since then. Responsibilities at a very young
age had compelled her brother to leave his studies and to do a job

though he used to be an extraordinary student. Her grandparents

and parents had died right in front of her eyes and it all seemed just
like a matter of yesterday. Family lost. Dreams crushed. Life had
become miserable and lonely. How could she sleep?
Accidents occur in Delhi every day. No one could guess who
will be lying on a hospital bed or the death bed. Today, was her turn
for the hospital. It was frightening. She felt terrified and scared. The
horror in the eyes of people whom she had witnessed dying due to
any accident in front of her came rushing back to her. Every time
she would find any news regarding accidents, she would think that
it couldn’t happen to her or the people around her.
But now today it was herself lying on the hospital bed.
Her eyelids began to get heavy and soon she was in a slumber.
There was a dim light around her and she was almost lying in
a deep sleep and didn’t even realize that someone had entered her
room. He was careful enough not to make any noise which may
disturb her sleep.
George who had just stepped in the room looked at Shreya.
She was sleeping like a baby. He slowly shifted her into a more
comfortable position and pushed the strands of her hair away
from her dazzling face. He realized that she was breathtakingly
beautiful, a perfectly drafted nose, flawless skin, bright pink lips
and a milky white complexion. She was a god-damn goddess. It
was a strange feeling for George as it had never happened that way.
Usually, he could avoid all the girls who were fascinated by him but
this time he himself got fascinated with someone.
Shreya shifted her sleeping position. Suspecting that she would
get awaken George slowly dashed out of the room.
The next day was also gloomy for Shreya as she never liked the
hospital environment. But she had to be here for one more day.
Her friends Kunal, Poonam, Abhay, and Sonali were doing their
best to cheer her up, but deep in her heart, she was feeling the angst
of losing George again. Her heart was hurting more than her limbs.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

52 I Still Crave For Him

The next day when she woke, she felt that the pain had
lessened to an extent. The old nurse came to change the blood
stained bandages on her head, her arms and her legs. She made
her way – with a little help – towards the chambers of the doctors
to get a few checks done before they could release her. On her way
she saw many people around, with far more grave injuries than
her, with bigger bandages, smiling, and laughing over all that pain.
Some of them even missed a limb or two. It was hard to look at
them. Suddenly she felt weak. She had always found hospitals
very depressing. Given the present scenario, it was even more so.
She couldn’t wait to get out of it and go home and again search
for George. The walk to the doctor’s chamber was very short and
she looked around thinking that George would secretly visit the
hospital to see her. Inside the doctors’ chamber some final tests
were carried on her. They asked her if she was feeling all right and
let her go.
‘Are you alright?’ Akhil asked.
“Yeah, I want to go home.”
It had been an hour since they had been sitting in the car and
she had not said anything. She was looking out of the window and
staring blankly at Delhi flyovers, bustling markets and busy streets
to find any trace of George. Their last meeting was still playing
in her mind. The sight of George, her following him, their way to
hospital, and then the words of old nurse echoed in her mind ‘If
he wouldn’t have been a foreigner we would have taken him as your
family member.’
A few days later when Shreya had almost recovered, she stood
from her bed, reached over the mirror and smoothed her long
black hair.
“Going somewhere?” her brother Akhil enquired.
“Just feeling choked, want some fresh air. I am going to
a nearby park for a walk.” Shreya said, rolling her eyes up then
looking on Akhil.
“Fine, first finish this glass of milk.” Akhil extended a glass

towards her.
She smiled at him and then sipped it.
“Don’t be late and do take your cell phone with you.” Shreya’s
accident had made Akhil more cautious for her.
Shreya entered the park and slowly took some rounds around
it.
“How are you feeling now?” A masculine voice came from her
behind.
“George,” she said even without seeing that man and then she
turned back.
She was right. It was him standing right behind her. She
couldn’t believe her eyes. The man she searched all time and
everywhere was simply standing right in front of her.
“Oh no! Not again.” She snapped her forehead believing she
was again dreaming of him.
George had read her mind. He smiled amusingly.
Taking her hand in his and bringing it to his heart he chuckled.
“It’s all real.”
Shreya sighed and leaned back, trying to think of where to
start. There had been countless times that she’d wanted to tell him
what she felt about him. It seemed so haste, though, as they were
still not more than strangers.
Shreya had so much to tell him that surprisingly made her
dumb. She was just looking at him fondly.
“Have you lost your voice in that accident?” George made fun
of her which made her frown.
“Did you ever miss me?” George smiled as he knew the answer
better.
“Like anything.”
His smile melted her frown in an instant. He was devastated
when he smiled. It had been that charming grin that had made her
fall for him so instantly. The dreams had only given her a sense

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

54 I Still Crave For Him

of hunger and lust for him. But today his beautiful smile had won
her heart.
“Did you ever miss me?” it was really very important for
Shreya to know that.
“I don’t know why, but surprisingly yeah, I missed you too.
Though there has been nothing as such between us.” George said
genuinely.
“Was there really nothing between us?” Shreya said in a
murmur.
George just shrugged his shoulders, giving her time to rethink.
Actually, he was right to an extent. Their relationship only
existed in Shreya’s mind, her dreams, and her imaginations but
not in reality. In real life they had only formal talks that too for
maximum three- four times only.
Rethinking over their relationship made Shreya amazed over
herself.
‘How could she be so crazy?’
“So are you here to bid me Goodbye?” Shreya asked fearfully.
Shreya, the girl who had never lost her control for any guy, had
become vulnerable so easily this time. The thought of being
without George, her first crush, had filled her with insecurity.
“No, I am here to say that I like you.” George said softly.
With no further argument Shreya went willingly into his arms,
tilting her head back in invitation and knowing he wouldn’t refuse.
He kissed her hairs and held her gently close as if he was afraid of
breaking her. She was still strong for her current condition.
Shreya took her hand from his chest. George pressed a kiss
to her hand. The smell of her blood felt divine to him. When he
kissed Shreya, she wanted to possess him, wanted to tell him that
she would never let him go again. She desired to show him the
passion he had stirred in her. She wanted to give her heart and all
she had to him.

“You’re not leaving me this time.” Shreya whispered against

his mouth and he smiled for a moment, until he felt the pangs of
sadness inside her.
“Trust me, I have come here for you only.” He said staring at her.
They both exchanged their phone numbers and George left,
promising to meet her soon.
“I met him today.” Shreya called Poonam happily.
“Really, oh dear, I am so glad for you.” Poonam said with
excitement.
Next morning, Shreya went her college for the first time after
her accident.
“Take care sis.” Akhil brushed a kiss on her forehead dropping
her outside the college.
“Look who has come today.” The entire group turned to her as
Abhay uttered this.
Shreya ran to hug Poonam and she also did the same.
“You are looking very happy today?” Kunal said, frowning and
doubting her.
“Don’t you want to see her happy?” Sonali said reading his
expressions.
“I want to see her happy more than any one present here but
I want to confirm that her happiness is not momentary or for any
unreal thing.” Kunal’s signal was obviously towards George and
most of students present there had understood that very well.
“Am I, a non-living, unreal thing?” George, who was
approaching them asked in a loud voice.
“George,” Shreya’s shine doubled and she rushed to him
without caring for anyone.
“I just came here to see, if you are okay.”
“I am more than fine now, as I have you now.” There was an
immense joy in Shreya’s tone.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

56 I Still Crave For Him

She closed her eyes as he kissed her cheek in front of all.

Shreya watched the world go by, wondering all her friends
were seeing them. She felt like a newlywed, about to be carried
over the threshold in George’s arms. There was a mummer around.
Saving Shreya from drowning in Goa and with his terrific dancing
skills George had already attained a status of hero in the eyes of
Shreya’s batch mates. Together, they made the most sweet and
beautiful couple.
“Shreya is lucky to have him as her boyfriend.” one of her batch
mate said to another in her ear and the other one replied “This guy
is amazing, I am just feeling jealous of Shreya.”
Abhay said in Sonali’s ear “George is fortunate to win Shreya’s
heart. I have seen no girl loving someone so madly like this.”
“Just look at George, any girl can fall for him.” Sonali said,
looking spell bound towards George, like most of the other girls
present there.
There were whispers all around over Shreya’s and George’s
relationship, but it was for sure most of the students were liking
them as a couple, leaving some jealous girls and boys who had
a crush over George and Shreya respectively, including Kunal.
George could hear even lowest whispers.
“I’ll see you tomorrow.” George left Shreya, promising to meet
her on the next day.
It was Sunday and Shreya didn’t have to go to college, so she
slept until 10 in the morning. She used to stay mostly at home so
her schedule was fixed. But today she was very excited about her
date with George. She was still replaying in her mind the erotic
dream she had last night. It had felt so real. Getting ready for her
day, she showered, and put on her best clothes. She tried her best
to look nice, but wasn’t sure how she should dress. She hadn’t gone
out on a date before. She wore a pink color dress and didn’t gather
her hair in a ponytail rather left them free and applied slight curls
on them.

As her phone rang, Shreya felt butterflies in her stomach.

“Hello?”
“It’s George and I am in the next street to yours, to pick you up.”
“I’ll be right there.” Shreya walked out the front door of her
apartment building. As George saw Shreya walking on the street
towards him he knew he wanted her for eternity. It was going to be
very difficult for him to have a control over himself. He wanted her
badly. He wanted to take her there and then.
“You are looking gorgeous, Shreya.” George loved the way she
was carrying herself, the way her pink skirt hugged all her curves
in just the right way.
“Thanks for the compliment.” Shreya replied as a blush went
to her face.
“Come on Shreya, take the compliment. Don’t be shy.”
George loved the way she blushed. The women of his species
generally didn’t.
They got into George’s car, which was an Italian Racing Red
Jaguar XF and was by far the nicest car she had ever been in.
The rich guys in her college had many times offered a lift or a ride
in their expensive cars, but she had never paid heed to anyone before.
“So where are we going?” Shreya asked.
“Actually, I am kidnapping you. I am taking the most beautiful
girl of India with me to my lands.” He smirked, gazing at her large
breast and long fair legs.
“Take me with you wherever you wish.” She whispered shyly
looking down.
“A known of mine owns a very exclusive club downtown. I
thought we could go have a drink.” Replied George looking from
side to side.
“Fine. Sure, sounds like fun.” Shreya was never really into the
club scene, but as long as George was by her side, she was fine with
anything.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

They walked into a dark club which wasn’t as busy as other

night clubs use to be in Delhi. The music was thumping in the
background, almost too loud to have a conversation. The decor was
modern in shades of blue and black and there were comfortable
looking couches with throw pillows around the place as well as
tables with little blue candles in the middle. It was very cozy.
George led her to the back of the club and then through a red
curtain. Behind it was a smaller room with several booths. He led
her to one in the far corner.
“This is much better.” George remarked as they sat down. The
music was not so loud here”. A waiter walked up to them as they
were seated, to take their orders.
“I’m Vijay and I’ll be your waiter for today. What will be your
pleasure?”
“I’ll have a pint of Corona with a shot of tequila.” He told the
waiter and then waited for Shreya to order something.
“What would you like, Shreya?”
“Finger chips and Diet Coke, please.”
As they waited for their drinks, George reached over and took
Shreya’s hand. His touch was ice cold, but it made her feel all cozy
and safe. She wanted to cuddle up to him and never leave. Their
eyes were on each other and nothing else.
Shreya felt an uncontrollable desire to kiss George. She wasn’t
normally that bold but couldn’t help herself.
Shreya put her lips against George’s. She tasted him with her
tongue. His hand reached over and stroked her face as he kissed
her. His lips were soft and the things he was doing with his tongue
were exquisite. She had never experienced anything like it. It was
very erotic and she felt thrilled. Shreya pulled away, out of breath.
After a few hours George and Shreya were in the car going
back to her apartment.
“Tell me more about your family, Shreya.” George asked her.
“There’s not much to say, really. I have an elder brother Akhil

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

and my parents died years ago. Akhil and I are very close. He’s the
only family I have in the world as far as I’m concerned.”
George pulled up to Shreya’s apartment. He didn’t want the
day to end, so he asked “May I come in?”
“I don’t think that would be a good idea.” Shreya said
hesitatingly.
George gave Shreya a kiss before she dashed out of the car. It
was a gentle, sweet kiss. She gave George a hug, laying her head on
his chest. She loved the way he felt against her. “I hope to see you
soon.”
“I don’t want to scare you, but I think I am falling for you.”
George closed his eyes for a moment and said in a low murmur.
Shreya didn’t know what to say. She stood there with her
mouth open. She had strong feelings for George. In fact, it was she
who was mad for George since she had seen him for the first time.
But they had only been on one date. She needed time to get to
know him before she could commit anything to him.
“I really like you George, but I don’t know how I feel just yet.
How about we wait for our second date before we go there?”
“Of course. I will call you tomorrow to make plans for our next
date.”
“Um, sure, that would be great.”
“Great, I’ll call you.” George stood outside his car as Shreya
walked to her apartment. He waited until she was safely inside
before he got into his car to leave.
Shreya arrived at her apartment just in time to hear the phone
ringing. She was tired and very confused. Her date with George
was a sweet one.
“Shreya, I’m so glad you answered. How was your date?”
Poonam asked enthusiastically.
“Well, I think he likes me and he wants to go out again.”
“Seriously, that’s all the details I get? Did you scream his name

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

in pleasure by the end of the evening? I need the dirty details….”

“Punni! You have a dirty mind. We did not do anything like
that on the first date. I’m not that kind of girl, you know that.”
“Okay, I know that, was just kidding.” Poonam laughed. “Come
on girl, I’m just curious.”
“Okay, just a kiss.” Shreya said shyly.
“So you liked that kiss?” Suddenly Shreya heard a masculine
voice, it made her tremble badly.
Disconnecting the call she turned back in the direction of that
voice to find George right behind her.
“How and when did you come here?” She asked, totally
befuddled.
“Just now, through your window.”
Shreya craned her neck to peep outside the window. Her room
was on the third floor and it was very risky to get in her room
through the window.
“Are you mad George?”
“Yeah, I am, for you only.” His words made her forget all the
worries and complexities of the situation. Even her brother could
have come in her room, as the door was ajar.
George himself hurriedly shut the door.
“Not a single word.” saying he shut her lips with his.
Shreya closed her eyes and turned into his arms, needing the
comfort and security of them around her. He held her close with
his hands on her back.
Shreya smiled, warm all over from the feel of his arms around
her and his graciousness yet in reality his body was cold. Only his
love had warmth. She wanted him like she had wanted no other
man before. She felt his hands caressing her back as they kissed.
She too ran her hand over his back.
Their lip lock was deepening. George was now kissing her with

full passion. The kiss lasted for more than a minute. For the first
time Shreya noticed a kind of wild instinct in George.
George pulled himself away suddenly.
I think I should leave now. Before she could utter any word,
his lips again brushed against hers. She closed her eyes again, but
when she opened them George was not present anywhere. She
looked outside the window, but there was no sign of him.
Days passed. Now, instead of her brother, Shreya preferred
George to drop her to the college. Shreya’s days were now passing
in happiness and content. She had never experienced so much
happiness in her entire life. George used to treat her like a princess.
Shreya felt no more empty and sad from inside as she used to feel
after her parents death.
George used to pamper her so much whenever they’d had
a chance to be together. He was always so attentive and caring,
looking after her every second. He had been so affectionate and
loving, so sweet, that she fell in love with him again and again.
One day as Shreya entered her home, she found her brother
sitting on couch with a look of much anger.
“Are you seeing, I mean dating any guy, nowadays?” Without
putting it in a nice way he threw a direct question.
For a couple of seconds Shreya remained quiet. Finally, she
gathered the strength to speak truth.
“Yeah, I like someone.” She said in a low voice.
“And that someone is a foreigner. Do you have any idea on
what path you are moving? The road you have chosen is going to
take you nowhere.” He said and she could hear the rage in his voice.
She swallowed, not quite able to find the words to express her
emotions.
“Tell me what your future is with him? How much you know
about that foreigner?”
“He is here in India for some business purpose and will stay
here for some more days only.” She replied in a suppressed voice.

Akhil was going to reason with her, but she spoke again.
“I want to marry him, after I finish my study.” Akhil wondered
when his little Gudia grew up to the age of marriage.
He was so bewildered by what he had just heard.
“I trust your choice but I want you to concentrate on your
career for now. We will think about it afterwards.” He looked away
trying to hide his emotions.
Shreya spoke thinking over some issue “by the way, how you
came to know about me and George.”
Akhil gave him a blank look only.
“No, it can’t be Kunal.” she said half to herself.
The look on her brother’s face confirmed it was Kunal, who
had filled his ears. Being together for the whole life Shreya could
easily read her brother’s mind. Once even Kunal had threatened
her that he would tell her brother about her affair with George.
Shreya’s final exams were approaching so she had started
concentrating more on her studies and nowadays she was seeing
George less as compared to past month.
George too didn’t want to disturb her study. It was after her
exams they again started meeting properly.
“What should I wear in tomorrow’s farewell party?” Shreya
asked George, behaving like a typical girl.
“Anything you wish. You look princess in anything you wear.”
George said in a flirting tone.
They were sitting in Shreya’s room at night time. George had
secretly dashed into her room as he had done three-four times
before.
Shreya was in a light mood today as her final exams had ended
and the next day she was going to party and most importantly, she
was with her favorite person right now, but in contrast George was
very serious.

“You look somewhat perturbed.” Shreya said reading her face.

“So like me, you have also started reading mind.” George faked
a smile.
“Don’t astray. Tell me what the matter is?”
“Shreya, my work Visa couldn’t be extended, I am afraid I have
to leave India very soon.”
His words turned Shreya in a statue, not a single word, just a
tear dropped from her eye.
“Whatever nothing can part us, not even death.” George rose
from his sitting position and moved towards window just kissing
her on forehead and said to her in a hushed voice, “By the way you
look awesome in a red silk gown.”
He was gone in seconds as if he had become invisible like a
picture seen in a dream. This made Shreya feel very strange about
George. There were so many strange, unusual, and different things
about George, she had started noticing.
“Hey Pooni!!!” Shreya called her best friend.
“Will call you again Poonam, someone is here.”
Shreya drop her phone call and put mobile in her pocket and
turned to find George standing almost motionlessly at the window.
“Sweetheart...” George said nervously, as he entered her
bedroom. Shreya had never seen him so nervous.
“What’s wrong? Your face looks strange.”
“I need to tell you something. I’m just not sure you will believe
me or not and accept what I am about to tell you.”
“Whatever it is, you can tell me.” Shreya leaned over and
gave George a reassuring kiss. “I love you and that won’t change.”
George felt his heart about to bust out of his chest with worry.
“Shreya, I’m a Vampire.” George blurted out. He put her face in
his hands; unable to look at her reaction.
Please don’t run away.

64 I Still Crave For Him

Shreya sat down without any emotion looking at him for a

moment. George felt like his heart had been ripped away from his
chest. The unusual silence was killing him. Then all of a sudden he
heard Shreya busting out in laughter.
“And, I am an Alien.” she said mockingly.
“Don’t you believe me,” George lifted Shreya’s head forcefully
to make her look at his face.
Shreya almost had a heart attack. In place of his handsome
face and beautiful eyes, she found fangs protruding from his jaws
and eyes as if filled with blood.
She took a step back and shriek “No” and the next moment
she fainted.
She was clearly afraid of him.
“Wake up Shreya, wake up.” George threw a few drops of water
on her face.
Shreya stared at him with fear, but he was looking normal now.
“Those fangs were unreal. Weren’t they?” she asked, holding
his hand and continuously looking at his face for any hint.
George’s heart fell into his stomach as she didn’t seem to accept
him as he was.
He said nothing and didn’t even look at her. Shreya gave him
a blank stare.
“You do not like me anymore.” he said and took his hand away.
His chest hurt. He loved her so much that it hurt him that she was
afraid of him.
“I already had a gut feeling that you are more than an ordinary
human being, but I had never thought that you could be a ...” She
paused, not daring to speak that word.
“Just speak it out, that I am a...” George said in a loud voice.
“No, you can’t be. You look so human….I mean how it could be
possible. They are just fictitious characters in movies and novels.”

“Oh my God!!! How do I make you believe Shreya?” George

took her head in his hands.
“Why and what you want to make me believe…” Shreya
busted out.
“Shreya, I want to make you my soul mate, so I thought it’s
necessary.
He was about to stand and leave when she spoke.
“Can I see your fangs?”
“Um--you believe me?” George asked as he lifted up her head
shyly.
“I’m not going to say I believe you hundred percent, but I will
give you the benefit of the doubt for now.”
“Okay, ready to see them?” George opened his mouth, allowing
his fangs to descend. Shreya let out a yelp.
“Oh my god, you actually have fangs! Can I touch them?”
George couldn’t believe how well she was taking everything. He
expected something more along the lines of fear and z repulsion.
“Sure.”
Shreya reached over and gently touched one with her finger.
She noticed George eyes were darkening as she stroked it.
“Does this turn you on?”
“It does more when you do it.” Shreya could smell his arousal.
He was trying very hard to maintain his composure. Shreya had no
idea how much she had turned him on.
“Do you have to feed from people?”
“I can if I want to, but there are other options. I can have a
blood bag delivered, there are Vampire clubs that serve blood with
drinks, and in emergencies I can survive on animal blood.”
“How do you take it?”
“I sometimes drink live and I also have blood bags at home.”
Shreya was incessantly asking questions about vampirism and
George was trying his best to answer all her queries.

66 I Still Crave For Him

Shreya’s night went almost sleepless. Even though, now she

knew that George was a Vampire still she couldn’t bear the thought
of losing him.
Next day, her tension increased when George didn’t pick up
her call. She entered the party hall wearing her red silky party
gown, but the usual shine of her face was missing today.
“How are you Shreya?” Kunal asked her as she entered.
“I am fine, and you?”
“I am glad now, at least after so many days you asked my
wellbeing.” There was pain in Kunal’s voice.
“Would you like to be my pair today,” He asked her extending
his hand, which she couldn’t refuse.
Poonam didn’t like Shreya was becoming a couple with Kunal
for that night, as she had started disliking him since the day he had
filled Akhil’s ears.
The party was rocking. Poonam, who was a very good singer
and an orator, was conducting the stage.
The hunt for best couple of the day and Mr. and Miss. had
begun. Shreya, particularly didn’t want to participate as she had no
interest in show-offs, but her friend’s insistence dragged her into
this contest.
Shreya had been already famous as one of the most adorable
girls of her college, but this night she had to pass the test again.
She was present there physically, but her mind and heart was with
George, whom she had not seen since last night. Again the thought
of parting with him, took almost away her breath.
Kunal was taking care not to offend her that evening in any
way. Perhaps this was working as they were chosen as the best
couple. But it hardly mattered for Shreya at this point of time.
A slow romantic music was being played and couples were
swinging slowly on it tunes. The scent of floral decoration was
overwhelming.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

Unconditional Love 67

Sonali and Abhay became a couple this evening, while Poonam

was left alone. Dancing with Kunal, Shreya thought of her brother.
Her brother would have looked perfect couple with her best friend
Poonam, she thought and smiled at her own silly thoughts.
“May I have the pleasure to dance with you, my lady?” George,
who had just arrived at their party, asked Shreya with courtesy.
Kunal left them alone without saying a word, in fury.
“George, where were you for the whole day?” Shreya was
almost going to cry.
“Shh…. I am here and everything will be fine now, but I want
to confess something...” Before George could say another word,
other students present there started shouting and demanding,
one dance…. Just a dance from George, especially girls, were
demanding a dance performance from him.
This made Shreya happy and she felt proud to have George as
her boyfriend.
He nodded in consent and now George was on the dais.
The music was changed to fast tracks and party hall was now
sounding thunderous in cheering George for his stupendous
performance.
Shreya looked here and there for Kunal to apologize, but
couldn’t find him anywhere. It was apparently clear that he had
left the party.
After his marvelous dance performance George stepped
towards her, but she came to him instead, the smile on her cherry
lips reflected in her eyes.
“You look wonderful in this red silky dress.” he observed.
“Do you like red color?” She asked.
“Yeah! Blood red is my favorite,” he smirked.
George pulled Shreya towards himself, enticing her down. He
closed his eyes when her lips met his, soft and sweet, kissing him
with all the love he always felt in her.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

His tongue met hers, tangling slowly and gently, barely

caressing it. It was a very sweet kiss. George had so much fire and
hunger in him that he could barely control himself every time
they were together like that. But this was one of those kisses—
slow, intense, passionate in its restraint, and so light that he felt as
though he was floating.
“Shreya, I have brought a gift for you.” he told her softly.
“You’re the only present, I need.” Shreya whispered against his
mouth and he smiled for a moment.
George loved public display of his love, while on contrary,
Shreya was a bit shy.
Leaving her alone George again moved to the dais and he was
on mike now, been audible to all present there.
Shreya stared at him with large eyes and her pupils are broad
in the low glow of the DJ lights.
George said in enchanting voice, “Friends, I have lost
something.” The announcement made little chaos among the
students present there.
Shreya felt very nervous as she knew what was coming next,
as the ground beneath her feet felt as though it would fall away at
any moment.
George smiled, amused by how well Shreya knew him.
“Friends, I have lost my heart to your batch mate Shreya.”
His words made all smile and look at Shreya with amusement
which made her feel very shy. She stood keeping her face down yet
smiling secretly.
“Yet more than a month has passed us were together, but still
I meet her every time I feel as I am spending the first day with her.
Everything still feels new. If she would leave me, the world would
be a darker place for me with no desire in me to live anymore.
Escorting Shreya to the dais, he said “I have a present for you

Shreya.” He pressed a kiss to her hand.

George took a deep breath, reached into his coat pocket, and
pulled out his hand. He held it out to her and opened it with a
flourish to reveal the small black box tied with a red ribbon.
Shreya stared at it. Her heart was pounding and her hand was
trembling in his. He smiled inside at her reaction.
“What is it?” Shreya took it from his hand and looked up into
his eyes. The twinkle in them said that she knew very well what it
was but she wanted to hear him say it.
“Open it.” He smiled at her now.
George held his breath without thinking. He didn’t need to
breathe, but he had taken to it since falling for Shreya. It made it easier
for her to be with him in public if he pretended that he breathed. It
made him more human. He couldn’t get more human than this.
Shreya opened the box with shaking fingers, untying the
ribbon first, and struggling to get the lid open. When she did, her
eyes widened, and she didn’t take them off the solitaire ruby ring
in the box.
“Wow,” she whispered and took the ring from its velvet bed
and raised it, disbelief written across her face and in her voice.
“What does this mean?”
George took a deep breath to steady himself and then dropped
to one knee before her. She looked at him, her body shaking so
much that he could sense it and the fear that laced her blood.
“It means that I desire to marry you.” George held his hand up
to her.
Shreya just stared at him, then the ring, and then back to him.
She went back and forth over and over, as though by doing so she
could make herself understood what was happening.
Finally, her gaze settled on him and stayed there. She stared
down at him.

70 I Still Crave For Him

For one heart-stopping moment, he thought, she was going

to play out one of the thousand refusal scenarios that had plagued
him all day and night.
“But I am not yet prepared for marriage…”
The public was enjoying their private moments, but all prayed
and wanted Shreya to say yes to him instantly.
No one wanted this beautiful love story with a sad ending.
“Shreya, I have only a few days left in India. Kindly accept it. I
swear to be yours and yours alone. I swear on that ring that I will
always love you and that we will never part, until death do us part
and beyond. If you swear it to me, I will be your husband and you
my wife…”
Shreya stared at the ring and uttered, “Husband-Wife?”
Shreya hadn’t exactly been expecting that sort of word to come up.
It wasn’t in any of her scenarios.
George’s heart fell into his stomach when she said nothing, for
a few moments. His chest hurt.
“Oh God! Shreya say yes to him,” Poonam mumbled to herself.
“Say yes.” Shreya heard a lot of voices compelling her to accept
his proposal.
He was about to stand and leave when she spoke.
“Yes,” she whispered in a voice so faint he barely heard her
even with his superior hearing.
She was smiling and looking at him as though he was an
idiot for some reason. “I love you… I just… I never realized that I
wanted to marry you, or how exciting it would be.”
Now, it felt as though his heart was really beating and he
couldn’t hide his happiness. He was surprised when Shreya
touched his cheek and he could sense her feelings and the love in
her caress. George raised his pale blue eyes to hers.
Shreya offered her left hand to him. Deep in his heart, he

already knew that she won’t refuse his proposal of marriage.

He couldn’t hold or restrict his smile, when he took her hand
and placed the ruby ring on her finger. Shreya raised her hand,
letting her ring visible to all present there.
Now, the party hall was thundering with claps, blessings, and
congratulations to the real couple.
This night had changed everything between them.

Chapter 4

Unquenchable Thirst

They both were from two different worlds,

They both were in love, that’s all that matters.
Her heart was tender, and young,
She knows everything there is to know,
About his kind and the life that he lives.
He led her to a well dark and deep,
The water appeared to be clear,
The taste seemed ever so sweet,
She drank till she felt she was content.
There was no word for what he was,
He was something the world despises,
A creature that doesn’t deserve to be alive.
Empty and thirsty for more,
She went to the well again.
Something greater than love,
It’s another world deep within him,

Unquenchable Thirst 73

Born from the darkness.

The sweet water turned sour,
Still, she was thirsty and drank more.
His parched lips reach,
For her milky wet skin,
As she reaches to help him,
Sighs escape as he was blood hungry,
As he penetrate her flesh,
Feel her warmth as it travels,
Over his tongue and down his throat.
As her flesh was consumed in flames,
Her thirst too became unbearably strong,
She returned to the water to drink again.
A slave to their desires,
The water could not quench the fire,
Yet they drank daily as if it did.
She around him,
His thirst becomes unquenchable
Longing to taste her flesh again and again.\

All her life, Shreya always felt too ordinary, however, George
never made her feel anything but perfect and beautiful.
Maybe, he was the one for her.
George’s arrival in Shreya’s life had changed her a lot. She
was no longer the same shy, conservative girl, who was satisfied to
confine herself in her cocoon’s shell. She had started to take pleasure

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

74 I Still Crave For Him

in her life. Her lifestyle was changing significantly. Now, she wanted
to enjoy freedom and wished to see the whole world as promised by
George. In pursuit of her new dream life, she had gone too far and
was ready to leave everything and everyone behind, for George.
The news of Shreya’s decision to leave for London had come
like a bolt from the blue to her brother, Akhil. Her brother felt
helpless as all his efforts to stop her were going in vain. Shreya’s all
talks, actions, motives, and every desire now revolved around only
and only one word- George.
It took George very less effort to convince her to leave with him
for London. George had already chalked out her visa requirements.
Shreya arrived with George to his Grand Hills home, a lonely
area, at the outskirts of the city. Being a Vampire for so long has its
advantages. George had a very long time to acquire wealth.
“Welcome home…” George said as he hugged Shreya and gave
her a kiss on the forehead.
“Is this our home?”
Shreya was surprised as they drew up to a magnificent royal
building. She hadn’t expected George this much wealthier.
A very royal large sign board on the door said “Grand Hills “.
“Impressive name for a house. Maybe it’s because this house
is really grand from inside.” Shreya thought. George pressed the
doorbell and a very stunning long haired lady with a vampire
tattoo covering her neck and shoulder opened the door.
“Welcome back, Mr. George,” she welcomed them with a sweet
smile that touched her beautiful blue eyes.
“Meet Ms. Roswell. She is the caretaker of my Grand Hills home.
“I guess you are, Ms. Shreya” Roswell said reading Shreya
expressions.
“Yup.” Shreya nodded.
“Welcome Princess,” she bowed a little in Shreya’s honor.
Walking into George’s house, Shreya couldn’t believe her eyes.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

Unquenchable Thirst 75

It was the grandest house, she had ever been in. With a grand
staircase and a crystal chandelier that glittered above them from
the high ceiling. His home was quite intimidating.
“You have a beautiful home.” Shreya said, while, looking at the
luxurious furniture. The house is marvelously decorated.
“It’s too large for me. I’ve thought about downgrading to
something smaller but I love the lake and it’s also nice and secluded.”
“Do you live here alone?”
“My two more vampire mates, Eric and Frank, often lives
here also. They would love to meet you. Let me show you around.”
George took Shreya around the many rooms in the house, the
game room, the movie room, and the sitting room. The house had
extra rooms than a person could probably use. She couldn’t believe
he owned this house.
“Shreya would you like to go upstairs? Roswell my maid had
specially decorated the room for your dwelling.
“That would be great!”
George led Shreya to a room next to the upstairs living room.
The room was big compared to the others that she had seen and
she was shocked as she noticed the brilliant royal touch and very
expensive furniture and artefacts of that room. For few seconds,
her mouth remained open in amazement.
‘OMG, how much costly antiques this room contains.”
Shreya had always loved looking at antiques but could never
afford anything significant.
“This is unbelievable, George. It must have taken you a long
time to gather all of these.”
“I am on this earth for a very long time-some are vintage.”
As Shreya looked at all different shapes, sizes, and colors of the
antiques, she felt as if she had a connection with those artefacts.
She was carefully looking at those and wanted to know the
reason that why she was feeling a strong bonding with several
artefacts of Grand Hills.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

76 I Still Crave For Him

She wanted to inquire George but she thought that it wouldn’t

be very polite.
“I hope you liked your new living room.” George could see
that she loved the decoration.
“I just loved it.”
“You will be always fine with me.” George assured her. He
moved forward and planted a gentle kiss on her forehead.
“Your house is so beautiful, I love the decor and the antiques.”
Shreya smiled, as she touched a bronze sculpture of beautiful
women, who apparently seemed like a princess. Yet the touch
made her feel a strange bonding to that effigy, but she preferred
to keep quiet.
George loved to see her smile and decided that he definitely
needed to get her to smile more often.
Shreya gently held George’s hand.
“Shreya, I have one last room, I want to show you. I think
we should have some fun.” George said, holding her hand firmly,
letting her feel the warmth of his love, though in reality he was
ice cold, as they walked down the stairs. He led her towards the
other end of the house. Soon, they were on the main floor, facing
the lake. George opened a set of double doors and Shreya was
speechless. It was an indoor swimming pool with a water slide. A
big smile appeared on Shreya’s face.
“Oh my gosh! George, this is amazing! Is it heated?” Shreya
asked as she walked into the room.
“Yes, it’s set at a constant temperature of 85 degrees. Shall we,
go for a swim?” George asked, as he imagined what Shreya would
look like swimming naked.
“I don’t have a swimsuit.”
“That’s okay, neither do I.” George began taking off his clothes,
while Shreya just stared at him, stunned.
“What are you doing?” Shreya exclaimed.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

Unquenchable Thirst 77

“I’m going to swim now, would you like to join me? Shreya, I know
you are a bit shy, so how about if I turn around and wait until you are
in the water?” George didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable,
but then again he wanted her in the swimming pool with him.
“Well, I guess that would be okay.” Shreya wasn’t sure but she
took off her clothes and slipped into the warm water.
“Can I turn around yet?” George knew she was in the water.
He’d watched her half undress in the reflection of the windows that
surrounded the pool looking out into the lake.
“Okay, I’m in. You can turn around now.” Shreya replied
nervously.
Shreya and George were both in the pool, almost half naked.
Shreya had never done anything like this before. She had never
dated any guy before George and she was of course a virgin.
George began swimming towards her. He was feeling excited,
and the sight of Shreya’s perky breasts had made it much worse.
Shreya was trembling with nerves. She wanted him so badly but
wasn’t sure if she was ready to go there tonight, even though she
had already done so many dirty things to him in her mind.
“Shreya, I know you’re nervous when you’re around me. You
don’t need to be. If you don’t feel okay with anything I’m doing, I’ll
stop.” Shreya nodded her head in agreement. George reached out
to Shreya and began stroking her cheek. She put her hand on his.
“Are you okay with this?” George asked.
“Yes.”
His body was so close to her and he was afraid that she would
notice that he was having a monster heavy on him.
He began caressing her body gently as he pushed her hair aside
and began kissing her neck, taking in her sweet scent.
Shreya reached under the water and squeezed his fingers.
“Do you want me?” Shreya whispered.
“You have no idea how much,” claimed George.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

78 I Still Crave For Him

George pressed his lips against hers. As Shreya moaned, he

could feel her body come alive. He could sense her arousal. She
kissed him gently, while tasting him with her tongue. His hands were
everywhere, exploring the delectable curves her body had to offer.
Shreya released her hand and began to explore his body as
well, the broadness of his shoulder and the well-defined muscles
of his chest.
She ran her hands over his body as they kissed each other
furiously.
George’s fangs extended as his blood hunger rose inside him.
“Go away, go…” he shouted, pushing her away from him.
Shreya moved away with a horrified look on her face and she
was more nervous than she was ready to admit.
Shreya got into a nightgown and waited for him to return from
taking a shower. She could hardly believe the changes her life had
gone through since she first met George. Here she was, sitting in
a man’s bedroom, a man who is a Vampire, a predator, a part of
whom consistently fought for tasting Shreya’s blood. Yes, she had
agreed to live with him. But did that mean she wanted to have sex
before marrying him?
Would they share a bed? Would they be having sex tonight?
She was getting nervous thinking about all the possibilities this
night might bring, or other nights in the near future.
“Sorry, I was gone so long, I needed to feed. Is there anything
else you need before we go to bed?”
“George, are we sharing a bed?” Shreya asked nervously.
“No, I am afraid that I might harm you after today’s swimming
pool encounter.” There was anxiety in George’s voice.
He left, just kissing on her head.
Yet, Shreya was no longer nervous anymore. She was having a
great craving for George, to have him with her in bed.
Her bed chamber looked majestic with candles lit throughout.
The fireplace was glowing hot with huge logs dancing with fire.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

Unquenchable Thirst 79

Shreya slipped into the bed, noticing the softness of the sheets
that were unlike the ordinary ones she had at home. It wasn’t that
she didn’t respect her virginity, but George was unlike the regular
and average guys she would normally come across. Lost in George’s
dreams, Shreya turned off the bedside lamp and closed her eyes,
yet it took her long time to really fall asleep.
“Good Morning, Princess.” Roswell greeted Shreya as she
walked downstairs in the morning.
“Where is George?” Shreya asked anxiously.
“He has gone for hunting.” Roswell answered half smiling.
“Hunting…you mean….” Shreya felt scared to think and say
anything in this regard further.
“George only drinks from animals.” Roswell clarified herself.
Shreya silently gave her a horrified look.
“Even me too.” Roswell said in a low murmur. “With the
passage of time, we all have learnt to feed from animals and not to
harm humans.”
“Don’t you feel a craving to drink from humans when you are
around them?” Shreya asked with pauses.
“Yes, we all do…. And this craving increases when we are around
anyone whom we love and fancy…” Roswell held a vicious look.
Shreya tried to maintain a patient look.
“Does George feel a great craving for my blood?” Shreya asked,
releasing a huge gush of breath.
Roswell gave her a gloomy look before she replied “Definitely,
he feels a great craving for your blood as he loves you like anything.
But trust me, you are safer here more than anywhere.”
“I know George can never harm me” there was a confidence
in Shreya’s voice.
“What would you relish for breakfast?” Roswell asked her
calmly.

“I would wait for George,” Shreya said.

“I don’t think it’s a good idea. George is out with his vampire
mates Eric and Frank and I think today he won’t be able to return in
the night.” Roswell’s words disappointed Shreya but she faked a smile.
Shreya spent her day examining George’s house and then she
contacted her brother and friends in India via internet.
She felt it like a very long day as she was missing George very
much.
Night had already approached. Shreya had changed into
a velvet pink gown and had been waiting for George’s return
anxiously.
She was getting nervous about all the possibilities the night
might bring or might not.
“Sorry, I was gone so long.” George implanted a deep kiss on
her forehead as soon as he returned.
“I missed you.” Shreya complained.
“I missed you too baby.” He cuddled her.
“It looks like you are very tired and want to sleep now. Is there
anything you need before you go to bed?”
“George, I know you said you can’t control, but still I would
like to share a bed?” Shreya said uneasily.
“Shreya, I would very much love that you share a bed with me,
but if I harm you in any way I won’t be able to forgive me ever.
Shreya was thinking about what it would feel like to kiss him
all night, to feel his body above her.
“I would like to share a bed. But I can’t promise to do this
tonight, until I can’t learn to control myself while being with you.
“Good night, beautiful lady. See you tomorrow.” George left
her discontented.
Shreya’s next day was not so lonely and boring like the past
one. George was there with her for the whole time. Together, they

spent a great leisure time. But, one thing was definitely missing in
their perfect love relationship.
George was trying to avoid any lovemaking encounter between
them by trying to engage her here and there.
Lying on rooftop and staring at stars with George, Shreya said
to him, “In my whole life I never fancied a man before I met you. I
like you from the very first sight.”
“Don’t you feel afraid of the fact that I am a Vampire?” George’s
voice was deep.
“I am only and only afraid of one thing in this world, that is,
parting with you.”
Cupping George’s face, she said “To me, you are more human
than any other human in this world. You are my world actually.”
“Shreya….” George paused for a moment.
“Ya say… you can share anything with me,” she assured him.
“I don’t feel normal anymore around you. The more I feel
drawn to you the more I feel craving for your blood.”
Shreya gave him a compassionate look instead of terror.
“Damn it.” George banged his hand on wall in fury.
His wounds healed so fast that Shreya couldn’t believe her
eyes.
“Calm down…calm down,” she hugged him tightly.
“I trust you George, I trust our love,” she said comforting him.
“Do you really?” George sound was breaking.
“Yes, I do.”
George was mesmerized by her devotion and innocence, at that
moment he knew he would die for her without asking any question.
Now, George began to wonder about what it would feel like to
kiss her all night, to feel her body under his, as he drove himself
into her.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

82 I Still Crave For Him

George was in bed with her, she wanted nothing more than to
feel his hands all over her body. George could sense her arousal.
“Shreya, are you sure? If you feel uncomfortable anytime, you
can tell me.” He said looking in her deep black eyes.
“I can’t be sure more than this.” Shreya hushed closing her eyes.
This was going to be a very long and memorable night.
“May I?” asked George, looking intently at her.
“What do you want?” Shreya asked back rolling her eyes
“May I kiss you?” George asked looking and pointing at her
rosy lips.
“Hmm.” Shreya smiled, feeling a rush of relief come over him.
Shreya screeched out. George reached over and stroked her
cheek with his hand. He could sense that she was nervous. His
lip swept across her barely touching her lips. Shreya leaned into
him, as his lips finally made full contact. He sucked on her tongue
tasting every bit of her. The scent of her made him excited instantly.
“I want you so badly. I want to make love to you all night long.”
“George, I want you too. I’m just scared.” Her eyelids began to
close half way as she whispered.
“Shreya, I will never hurt you. I have waited for centuries to
meet the perfect woman for me. That wonderful woman is you.”
George continued kissing Shreya. Her arousal increased as his kiss
deepened. Shreya could feel his excitement too.
George pulled her against him and started kissing her all over
very passionately.
Shreya moaned in response. She had never felt so many thrills
in her entire life.
George was driving her crazy.
George pulled Shreya’s black night gown and threw it on the
other side of the bed. Now, he was staring at her bare body, teasing
her curves with his tongue. With every passing second, the animal

in George started pushing harder to take hold on him. Perhaps

Shreya could sense that, but the madness of that moment didn’t let
her scare of him, rather she wanted him badly.
She pushed George flat on the bed as she began kissing him
down his chest. George moaned as she began kissing him.
George loved how she suddenly took control. As her kisses
deepen George moaned loudly. “It feels so good.”
Now, George was suddenly on top of her. He was kissing her
and his fangs ached to bite her. George growled with frustration.
He wanted so badly to taste her. He licked the vein in her neck and
could hear it pulsating.
He couldn’t bear it any longer, the animal in him had taken
complete hold over him. Shreya was going to lose her virginity.
She felt a moment of pain followed by intense pleasure.
At the same time George dug his fangs on a side of her neck
and he bit her. He had never tasted anything so exquisite. George
sighed as her sweet blood went down his throat.
Shreya screamed as she felt both intense pain and pleasure, at
the same time. But that pain only lasted a moment. George didn’t
want her to feel the pain.
George licked the bite wound in order to seal it and went back
to their love making session, making Shreya moan deep and deep.
Now, they both had abruptly reached over the edge screaming in
immense pleasure.
Shreya lay with her head on George’s chest. That was the first
sex of her life. She had never experienced anything much more
exciting than that. She was very exhausted and a little sore in spots,
but very satisfied.
Shreya woke up the next evening after an all-night lovemaking
session with George.
“Shreya, are you awake already?”
“George, its 6:00 p.m. I slept through the whole day.”
“I guess I wore you out.”

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

84 I Still Crave For Him

Shreya lay back on the bed next to George, he looked so

handsome lying in the bed with no shirt on. His hair had a sexy
ruffled look.
“I know this sounds creepy, but did you bite me last night?”
George just looked at Shreya, not saying a word.
“I might have nibbled a little. Did I hurt you?”
“No, I’m.. I’m just fine.” Shreya replayed last night’s events in
her head. She remembered feeling a bite on her neck followed by
intense pleasure.
“Well, I need a shower and then maybe some dinner.” said
Shreya.
“Oh well, tonight we are going out for dinner.” George said as
he gave Shreya a wicked grin.
“Sounds like a plan.”
Shreya gathered up all her clothes from last night. When she got
into the bathroom, she was excited to take a shower. She was using
this bathroom for the first time and it was the most spectacular
bathroom she had ever seen. The shower had multiple heads and
was surrounded by windows on three sides, which looked out to
the lake. The floor was heated and warm to the touch. The colors
were loud and vibrant, with blood red accents.
“George!!!” Shreya yelled.
“What’s wrong? What is it?” George asked, as he rushed into
the bathroom half naked.
“I love your bathroom. It’s amazing, but won’t people be able
to see me taking a shower with all those windows?”
“These are special windows — nobody can see inside.”
Just then, Shreya noticed George’s lack of clothing and that he
was definitely ready for a replay of last night.
“Can I, take my shower in peace?” Shreya whispered in his ear.
“Anything, for you.” saying George dashed outside.
Steam began filling the bathroom and the temperature was set

just right. Shreya stepped inside the shower enclosure and began
washing. She could see George through the clear glass, watching her.
“Do you like to join?” Shreya asked him, looking fondly at his
muscular build.
George was in the shower instantly, kissing her neck from
behind, caressing her breasts, and teasing her nipples. She instantly
began moaning as he touched her.
Last night after tasting Shreya’s blood, George’s lust for her
blood had increased significantly, which he was apparently trying
to control. He could smell her sweet blood.
George’s hands were all over her body, exploring all her curves.
Shreya could feel George’s breath on her neck. She wanted to
turn around to give him a passionate kiss, but before that she felt
his fangs on her neck sipping her blood slowly.
“Oh my god, George!!!” Shreya screamed.
George licked the bite wound to seal it and then sealed her lips
with his before she could say anything.
She could feel warmth of his love filling her wound.
“Are you ready, honey?” George knocked Shreya’s room where
she was getting ready to go out with him for dinner.
“Yes, I am.” Turning she gave him a sweet smile.
George’s eyes grew larger as she walked towards him in
red shimmer. He couldn’t take his gaze away from her tall and
statuesque body and large full shimmering breast. There was
nothing beautiful and exotic like her he had ever seen.
After driving for half an hour, they were outside a creepy
looking building in a dark street.
“Bloodlust” Shreya read the name of that place written in
small words above the door.
“Is it a Goth club?” Shreya asked George.
“Yes, exclusively for my kind.” George said in amusement.
George pressed the bell on the door, the creepy sound of
doorbell almost scared Shreya.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

86 I Still Crave For Him

A very scary long haired guy with a vampire tattoo covering

his neck and shoulder answered the door.
“Hey George, how are you doing buddy?”
“Hey Steve, meet my fiancée..” George pointed towards Shreya.
“What a beauty!!!” Steve looked at her more like a butcher.
Shreya slightly hid behind George and held his hand firmly. They
walked inside that dark and creepy club.
“George, our best friend! Good to see you here.” His vampire
mates Eric and Frank, who were already present there approached
to them.
“Meet my friends, Eric and Frank.” George introduced Shreya
to them.
They talked for a while and then gave Shreya and George some
privacy.
Sitting a few tables away from them, Shreya noticed them
looking at her like she was dessert on the buffet table.
“What would you like to relish in dinner- you want food or a
blood whore?” A sexy waitress who had just arrived there took the
order.
George ordered continental food plus a glass of fresh blood
that made Shreya gave him an eerie look.
“What is this blood whore?” she asked him anxiously.
“Blood whore is a woman who willingly lets you feed on her
blood for money.”
“Oh My God! how can one do this?” Shreya’s eyes were wide
open in amazement.
“The world is not as straight as you think.” George replied her
glumly.
The waitress put a glass of fresh blood on the table.
The sight of a glass filled with blood, made Shreya almost
vomit.

Unquenchable Thirst 87

“I could have taken you some other place for dinner, but
before you marry me, I want you to truly know who I am.” there
was sincerity in George’s words.
“My decision is never going to change. I’ll get accustomed to
your lifestyle gradually.” Shreya had only poured these words but
something made her shriek.
George’s friend Eric, who was sitting a few tables away with
Frank, was apparently feeding from a blood whore.
Eric latched onto her neck from behind. Blood whore gasped
as she felt pain. She turned around with a horrified look on her
face, holding her neck wound as she bled.
“It’s ok. I am here with you. You need not to fear.” George tried
to soothe her.
Her shriek had made Eric look at her frantically.
Shreya finished her dinner as fast she could. She felt sick to her
stomach being at that creepy Goth club.
George and Shreya were now under the moonlit night on
“Grand Hill’s terrace.
“Do you want to ask something?” he said to her on reading
her thoughts.
“George, do you.. don’t feel bad, but I want to know that, do
you also feed from those blood whores?” she asked hesitatingly.
“Yeah, sometimes I do. When my cravings for human blood
become uncontrollable.” He gave her a straight answer.
“I don’t like the thought of you drinking from other women.”
She groaned.
“Me neither. The only one I want to drink from is you.”
Shreya started blushing. George thought it was cute and
reminded him how human and fragile she was.
“If we are going to be together, I don’t want you to feed from
anyone but me. The bagged stuff is okay too, but no more live feeding.”

88 I Still Crave For Him

“I can live with that.” George smiled, this was going much
better than he envisioned. She seemed to be accepting him exactly
the way he was.
Holding Shreya’s gaze George whispered.
Sweetheart, you look like a deity,
Spring-eyed beauty with full of purity.
Your love made me romantic,
Your beauty made me poetic.
I was no longer like a man, but like an empty vessel
It’s you only who gave me nestle
You made me feel how it is to be alive
You awoke in me,
On this full moonlight
Enlightened by brilliant starlight,
Unquenchable thrust
Thirst for your love
Thirst for living again
Thirst for madly loving you
Thirst for your pure blood
An Unquenchable Thirst

Chapter 5

Diving Into Past Life

Shreya was lurking in the shadows, watching out, but unable

to understand what was happening around her. She had reflections
of her and George’s past and was visualizing the things that were
unknown to her. She was terribly afraid. Her long dark hair flowed
in the mighty wind, while a storm brewed over the lake’s horizon.
Long clouds, fleeting in a chill wind, had covered the heavens like
a grey menacing shadow, encompassing all around her. Ominous
and disturbing, the night rustled.
George had watched her awaken from a dream. He knew it
had been a more than a dream. A disturbing feeling swept through
him, while he watched her. Rain began to descend from the
heavens, but she made no attempt to seek cover. Moreover, it came
to a realization that she had more significant things to deal with.
A tired and cracked voice called her from behind.
“My love, please come in and talk to me. I know what is
troubling you so much. I know about the visions you have.”
George wanted to reveal the truth to her before she interpreted
things herself.
Shreya turned quickly. Anyone could tell that George’s words
had taken her by surprise. She walked in swiftly.
“Is it true?”

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

90 I Still Crave For Him

She was so desperate to know the truth of her visions that she
behaved like that she had only a few moments left with her.
George brushed aside her movements toward him. Drenched
from the downpour; she wiped out the water dripping down her
face. George’s eyes caught sight of her, though not surprised by her
appearance, as she looked beautiful in every aspect. Extending his
hands toward her, he came close to her. She hugged him tightly.
“I need to know to reason behind my visions or I’ll go mad.”
She said sobbingly.
George stared at her sympathetically. The furrows in his brow
tensed.
“I know you may think I’m crazy, but I am having visions, I
can see things and I started having them about you. I’ve seen your
past. Shreya contemplated what she had just seen while standing
on the balcony.
Recently, I saw you in a castle with a princess and I feel...”
“Yeah say love, what do you feel?”
“Yet, I don’t exactly look like her, but I feel that I was that
princess in my past life.” She narrowed her eyes while speaking.
George was just watching her facial expressions cautiously.
“Yes, you are right. You were the princess in your past life
whom I used to love. Your name was Natalie. I served as a minister
to your father, King Raymond, the mightiest of all warriors and
Commander of the sky.”
Shreya met his eyes with an intense glare. Her body openly
shook. Apprehension overcame her. Her hand rubbed her
forehead, while she grasped at his words.
“You knew, who I was? From the day we met in Goa?” Shreya
said shaking George’s hand.
“No, I realized that when I sucked your blood for the first time,
but I was not sure that how you would react to this revelation.”
There was a hesitation in his tone.
“Your father, King Raymond was betrayed by his own chief

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

Diving Into Past Life 91

commander, Arden. I can still feel his presence in the old forgotten
castle.” George remarked painfully.
“What do you mean by that, is he also a vampire?” Shreya
commented back.
“No, he is not. He is a cursed spirit.”
“What? How?” Shreya wondered.
“The curse that Arden had brought to our empire is still
chasing us after centuries.” George said again gritting his teeth.
Shreya looked at him blankly and then she said “I want to
know each and everything from the start…. All details….”
“As you wish.” George just sounded pathetic.

London 1350
In 1345, a tribal King Raymond extended his own mighty
kingdom, right beside the lake and with an open view of the
mountains. His earlier tribal kingdom soon rose to become one
of the most prosperous ones and his castle was one of the most
luxurious ones.
Arden, the commander chief of his army, was the key person
behind all his extraordinary success. The stories of Arden’s chivalry
were not only famous in our circles rather everywhere we go. He
had fought many wars courageously, alongside the King.
No doubt, Arden was a brave warrior, but shrewdness was also
one of his traits. Public paid allegiance to King Raymond, who
himself was a great warrior once, but now old and withered was
reduced to a shadow of own glorious past. Slowly and reluctantly,
the army inclined towards Arden.
As the king had only one offspring and that too, a girl, so Arden
was confident that after King Raymond, he was going to sit on the
throne. Even though he had grown powerful enough to overthrow
the throne, he still wanted to get it legitimately, so that the public
would accept him as their king without any resistance or revolt.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

92 I Still Crave For Him

Arden was as mean as King Raymond was generous and kind

towards his subject. The king was in no way less brave than Arden.
King Raymond had fought several great battles during his lifetime
and won them with his power and acumen, but now he had grown
old and feeble, which was the worst thing that had happened
to him. There was the lack of a bloodline to carry forward his
name and legacy. Princess Natalie’s mother and King Raymond’s
beautiful and loving wife, Sara, had died during childbirth. The
king was so much in love with his wife that he couldn’t marry
someone else ever.
King Raymond had brought up his daughter Natalie i.e., you,
with great love and care and had acted as both, your father and
mother. You in return loved him too. But there was someone else in
your life too, whom you loved if no lesser than equal to your father.
It was me, George, a minister in your father’s council. I was not
equally esteemed as Arden was, but I held a high position in your
father, King Raymond’s ministry. Your father had great faith in me,
as my family was serving yours since the time of our forefathers.
“Are you sure you have to go now?” you asked, fluttering your
eyelashes. You knew giving me that look almost always worked to
get your way. Shreya, you and I love to sit under a tree holding each
other’s hand and enjoying each other’s company. It was a pleasant
spring day and we were enjoying the outdoors when we had the
conversation I have not been able to forget all these long lonely
years.” George recounted the story in a whisper.
“Natalie, I would love nothing more than to sit with you all
day. You love me and that is an amazing thing, but I am not worthy
for you. I am not sure whether I’ll be able to make that much good
impression on your father. How would you feel if we got married
and you would have to give up all your finery?”
“Yet, I have been a lucky man to have found a woman of such
rank and attributes to accept me, even though I could not provide
that much luxury to which you are used to.”
You knew I was right, so you were worried too, in case your
father wouldn’t consent to our marriage.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

Diving Into Past Life 93

“Do you promise never to leave me, my love?” you looked

upset as asked me this.
“As always you are my life, sweet Natalie. I will be always there
for you.” You used to love when I talked to you like that. It made
you feel safe and happy, something you had always longed for.
I kissed you, pressing my lips against yours. You opened your
mouth to me allowing me to taste you. A quiet moan escaped your
lips.
I pulled away, suddenly. “Natalie, I am sorry, but I can’t do
things like that, before our marriage, it is wrong.”
“I love you George and don’t ever doubt that. No matter what
my father says. I’ll marry you in any case.”
“I have never doubted you. I have seen the way other men
looking at you, beautiful princess. But you see no one and only me. I
don’t understand why, but you have always accepted and loved me.”
“Tonight, I am going to talk to my father regarding you. Let’s
see how things happen.” You said grimacing.
We both remained quiet for some time. After all it was a matter
of our life and death, as both of us couldn’t even imagine living
without each other.
“My father loves me more than anything. I believe, he will
accept you.” You said before departing.
“My lady…..” Your best friend and maid Anna reached to us
on your call.
She knew our entire secret but being your best pal she always
helped us to meet secretly.
Anna was not just your friend, she was your counsellor too,
one of the most beautiful and virtuous ladies of your kingdom.”
A shine came on George’s face as he was diving in his glorious
past. Shreya was noticing his expressions.
The amazing smile faded slightly on George’s face as he glanced
sideways at Shreya.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

94 I Still Crave For Him

“We never thought that our love gets doomed.” His expressions
darkened.
“Doomed… How?” Shreya asked, a frown of doubt wrinkling
her smooth brow for a moment.
“My lady, King Raymond is looking for you.” You were
informed by a maid as soon as you entered your magnificent room
in the royal castle.
“Father.” You reached to his chamber bowing down to him.
“My lovely princess! Come here my child.” He hugged you as
soon as you reached him.
“You called for me, father?” You asked.
“Oh yes, where have you been?” His question caused a tremor
in you.
You had already decided to tell him all about our relationship,
but you were not prepared to tell him, just now. So you took your
time and faked. “I had gone for a sightseeing with my friend Anna
and others.”
“Oh! Great, so you enjoyed your day?”
“Yes, father.”
“I believe this day will bring more happiness to you,” King
Raymond winked.
“I do hope so,” you said to yourself.
“Princess, I want you to be present at tonight’s royal party in
your best dress.”
“Surely, father.” Bowing, you left to get ready.
The party hall was visited by all reputed people of the kingdom.
They sat quietly atop a hillside in a long and comfortable craft of a
dwelling with a brilliant shining roof of gems. The walls were full
of expensive paintings and decorative items.
One often used to wonder about the beauty of the establishment.
A stone hearth centered the party hall with open shuttered windows

on the bottom floor. The entrance door was very wide and tall. No
entrance was allowed without a royal invitation. The ceilings were
high and the party hall was spacious and broad.
The party hall became alive as you entered with your friend
Anna and other mates.
Your golden brown hair was in an upsweep, with few brown
curls down around your face. You were in your favorite golden
dress with the silver lace. It had a round neckline that showed
some cleavage, but wasn’t too scandalous.
You were the most beautiful girl I had ever laid eyes upon. A
curl of your golden brown hair was touching your cheeks and eyes
of most unusual color, perchance a blue of sorts. I sat tall upon my
mount with an amused look on my face. With your head tilted to
one side, you looked curiously and intently at me.
“Your Majesty!” suddenly you found Arden standing right in front
of you to escort you and he took your hand in his. His simple face and
ordinary features did not reveal the secret depths of his evil desires.
Engrossed in looking at each other, a loud and thunderous
voice caught our attention. We both became blank as soon as we
deciphered the meaning that voice was carrying.
Your father announced, “All present here, kindly welcome
princess Natalie. I am feeling very delight tonight, while announcing
her engagement to one and only, the heroic Arden. The whole place
was roaring with the thunderstorm of clapping and cheering voices.
Startled, you looked at me innocently, as if you too were
unaware of this terrible announcement.
You glanced over your shoulder to look at me secretly.
Suddenly, the thought of losing each other gnawed within us. I
sighed silently, hoping not to call attention of anyone else, but
found Arden could not leave the pathetic sight of me.
At that moment, you couldn’t do anything. Anna wiped the
sweat from your brow with an expensive piece of cloth, but your
golden brown hair clung to your forehead.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

96 I Still Crave For Him

Now, you were regretting not telling your father about your
liking on right time.
I could feel Arden’s eyes sparkling with victory.
A huge grin formed upon his face. Standing, he raised his
drink and said in his loud voice “For my fiancée, Natalie.”
Shaking my head in disbelief, I heard the mutterings of the
cheer, Arden had instilled within the crowd.
Somewhere, he knew very well that I too liked you. Jealousy
swelled within me. Why could not I get whatever I wanted from
my whole heart? Life wasn’t fair to have treated me in this manner.
Unable to allow him the upper hand on me, I left the party hastily
without saying a word to anyone. Your gaze chased me until you
lost my sight, but you were physically unable to chase me, being a
princess and the cynosure of that royal party.
In the stillness of the night, you were standing in your room’s
balcony, with eyes glued to the clear sky and the stars’ glitter
littering the heavens. Your father who had just arrived behind you,
wondered vaguely, if all your concern was for marriage.
You were a pampered kid. Your father had never done anything
against your wishes, but this time he had taken such a big decision
even without asking your opinion.
Your eyes caught him, while he was standing by the balcony
door, intently observing you.
“You don’t seem to be happy, My dear.” King Raymond uttered,
as you hugged him sobbingly.
“Father, I have something to confess.” your words echoed
within him.
For a tense moment of indecision, you exchanged glances with
your father. The look upon your face gave no hue to your father
what was troubling you that much.
“Yes, tell me sweetheart.” He demanded.
“I can’t marry Arden.”

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

Diving Into Past Life 97

His old body bent over, worn from the years, and the stress he
lived under. His dry, wrinkled skin folded tension around his eyes.
“Any particular reason?”
“Father, I….Actually, I love someone else.” You replied it in an
unease.”
“Whom?” He uttered.
He lowered his head, noticing you biting your bottom lip
while you thought.
“George, a minister in your council,”
“In which way, George is better than Arden?” Your father
looked at you in disbelief.
“Father, it’s about love and not about competition….” Your
words made him look at you surprisingly.
You kept on saying, “Tell me, why you didn’t marry again
to any other woman after mother’s death. Didn’t you have better
options?” There was a point in your talks.
King Raymond kept quiet for some time, but then finally he
spoke, “I can very well understand your feeling. Very well, dear,
after all you are only one whom I have in this vast world, but
sometimes we have to make sacrifices. With great powers come
great responsibilities.”
“Arden may be a great warrior, but he is a shrewd and mean
person, he can’t love anyone.” You stated the obvious.
King Raymond noticed the angry tears that had filled your eyes.
“I’ll better sacrifice by killing myself rather than marrying that
monster.” You cried and said in a painful voice.
“Just try to understand, my dear, Arden has fought so many
battles by my side, I owe him. Our army considers him his leader
more than me.”
“So you are trading your daughter for that. Being an army
chief, it was his duty to fight. But he did all that in expectation of
your throne, even you too understand that. ” You revolted.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

98 I Still Crave For Him

“But whatever you say, I am helpless. My old body has no more

strength left to fight against my own army and people.” He said
gritting his teeth.
The once massive, intimidating warrior, was standing lifeless
right in front of his daughter.
You both stood in the shadows, as if both were frightened to
some unknown threat.
“Then you listen my final decision also, I am in no way going
to marry Arden. I’ll kill myself at this moment itself, rather than
becoming bait for that monster.” You knew you sounded pathetic,
which was so unlike you, but at this point, you felt pretty pathetic.
The next moment, you were near the edge of balcony ready to
throw yourself down.
“No….Please don’t. I can’t live without you.” your father
screamed with fright.
“And I can’t live without George. Father, you take one step
towards me and I’ll jump.” You warned.
“Natalie, please try to understand. Don’t behave childishly.”
“What should I try to understand, a man is marrying me only
because being a princess, I am key to his desires of getting the throne?
It’s better to be childish rather than being foolish.” You shouted.
Your father began to wonder what he was supposed to do.
Feeling helpless was not something he enjoyed.
“All right, I agree with you, but please don’t do that or I’ll die
too.” There were pain and sincerity in your father’s voice.
You felt like crying like a kid.
“Are you marrying her with George?” Arden interrupted.
“Have I not defended you, served you all times....?”
Both of you, father and daughter stared at him incredulously.
Arden looked like he was in an awful mood. You both exchanged a
glance indicating that you both were surprised by his unexpected
arrival.

“She is my daughter and it’s me who decide whom she will

marry.” King Raymond spoke quietly, but with authority.
Anger filled Arden’s face and he stepped nearby King Raymond
and took his sword out trying to kill him with it, “Natalie has to
marry me in any way.”
You might know what was coming next, so you put your all
force trying to push him away from your father and shouted with
all your strength, “Guards…”
In no time, King’s personal security guards were there and
Arden’s too. A fight brewed between the groups.
“Behead the king.. And find and kill that rascal George too.”
Arden shouted devilishly.
There were no words in Natalie’s mind to describe how foul
and disgusting that possibility was.
“No, I’ll never let that happen.” You uttered loudly and without
any hesitation. The next moment, king had also pulled his sword
and now they both were fighting.
Soon, there was a commotion at the castle, more and more
guards were alerted. Soon Arden and his men were outnumbered.
You scanned the group of frantic people for me. When you
finally spotted me, the terror in your eyes made it hard for you to
breathe. You were like a wild, cornered animal, and the keening
sound that arose from somewhere deep inside you when you
spotted me brought tears to my eyes. Unashamed, you ran to me
and for a moment we clung to each other, instinctively knowing
that the worst was yet to come.
“Grab them all.” We heard the unmistakable voice of your
father who had by now with the help of his guards captured Arden
and his men.
In the whole kingdom, Arden’s act earned contempt. By trying
to kill the king, he had become a traitor now.
Next morning, in the king’s court, he was brought with his
men, they all were chained and their bruises told that they were
recently beaten.

King Raymond wanted to punish them with death sentence

but as Arden used to be favorite of all army people, so finally he
was saved but was sentenced to exile to no-man’s-land.
Arden and his companions were exiled to a no-man’s-land.
A rocky, icy, and hilly area, and a law unto itself. Even though it
was considered a no-man’s-land, but this land certainly had some
obscure barbarian tribes dwelling there without the knowledge of
the outside world. It was believed by now that anyone who dared
to visit those lands had never returned back.
This place was officially part of King Raymond’s kingdom, but
it was actually self-administered by Wika tribal chiefs, who were
black magicians, invincible warriors, as well as being completely
indomitable and conservative.
For several days, Arden and his companions kept walking on
those icy hills, but they couldn’t return back. They had no hope
left. In every direction, they had only one thing for them in store,
which was death. But they kept walking in hope.
They walked in the ice dessert for several days on foot; hungry
and hopeless. The more they travelled away from the kingdom;
less their chances of survival became. In the early days, they killed
few animals and birds to eat and survive, but now they were unable
to find a single animal to kill and eat. There was no trace of life
in that place. Nature seemed to punish that place with its harsh
environment.
“We all are going to die here, in this cursed land, aren’t we?”
Arden’s one of the companions muttered in desperation.
Arden, who was a very strong man and a great warrior too,
looked at him furiously.
“You are not a man of courage. You don’t fit for survival, let
others prey and survive upon you.” And he beheaded him in the
next second.
“Eat his flesh.” Arden commanded to his soldiers, who were
now looking at him in fear and disbelief.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

Diving Into Past Life 101

“We don’t have any other option left with us.” Arden said
frankly.
They walked aimlessly in no-man’s-land for eleven more days.
By now, Arden had killed his four more soldiers, in order to survive.
On the eleventh day, the evil group saw a ray of hope, when
they sensed life nearby them and noticed a small village.
Arden and his soldiers, were tired and nearly on the verge
of hunger and death. Arden, the infallible warrior had become
so weak and thin that today he could be defeated by an ordinary
civil person. In such pathetic condition, he and his men couldn’t
even think of raising a fight or offend any person of that village. To
make matters worse, Arden had injured his left leg and arm badly
as a result of a fall from a cliff while finding the way.
They reached to tribal people of village like pathetic beggars.
This tribe was ruled by Wika tribal chiefs, who were feared black
magicians and invincible warriors.
“Who are you and where you have come from?” A full figured
man of around seven feet asked them, while throwing away one of
the soldier just with a very little force of his right leg.
A small push by that man had caused this soldier to fall
more than twenty feet away. This man was very much strong,
undoubtedly, so was Arden. But it was a matter of time, today the
great warrior whose gallantry songs were sung across all mountains
and plains was not even able to stand on his legs properly.
“I am Arden and they are my men.” Arden bowed in front of
that man, whom by now he had assumed as the chief of that tribe.
Listening to the name, Arden, a young man without a leg and a
damaged eye reached to the chief and whispered slowly in his ear.
“He is that man, the chief commander of King Raymond’s army.
Though he was speaking in a low murmur, but he was audible
to most of the people present there.
“Are you sure?” the Wika tribal chief confirmed.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

102 I Still Crave For Him

“I am damn sure. I was present in one of the battles and have

seen him fighting bravely and fearlessly.”
“He is the one who had saved my life. I got myself mutilated in
that war only. How can I forget him?” The one legged man stated
the obvious.
The tribal chief gave Arden, a serious look and tried to read
his face.
“You are right. He is Arden, the chief commander.”
“What made you so pathetic?” The chief wondered.
“Treachery.” Arden growled.
“I fought so many battles with King Raymond so devotedly
and selflessly, but when the time came, he declared an ordinary
minister as his heir by offering his daughter’s hand to him.” Arden
said abruptly.
“So, why you have come to us?” Chief looked at him with
suspicion.
“We haven’t come here willingly, but we were forced.”
“Forced for what?”
“King Raymond knew my power, so he made a plan to get rid
of me. He caught me in the false charge of attempt to kill him.”
“So, how did you escape?”
“We were not jailed rather exiled. King Raymond knew that
no wall can hold me for long.”
“King could have ordered to kill you?”
“Yes, he could, but the question was who would kill me. The
army pays faithfulness to me more than him. If anyone would have
refused to execute me then there would have been a revolt.”
“Hmm, you have a point,”
“So, what do you want from us now?” The chief gave him a
friendly smile.
“Food… at first.” Arden and his men spoke in chorus.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

The chief smiled and offered them food and shelter.

It was the night time, when Arden rose from his bed. Constant
hunger had made him weak and feeding on his own men had
made him wicked and that’s what the tribal chief exactly wanted.”
“What ulterior motive that chief could have with Arden?”
Shreya asked to George in wonder.
“The chief was a Vampire actually.”
“What???” Shreya’s mouth remained open in surprise.
“Was that chief made you people a vampire?” Shreya shook
her head in disgust.
“He turned Arden and some of his worthy soldiers only, and
I was turned from them, not directly by that tribal chief.” George
looked away trying not to reveal his expression.
George continued his story from where he had left.
It was still dark with no dawn light in the horizon.
“You are not asleep, Arden?” The chief asked from the distance
reaching to Arden.
“I feel tormented. My thoughts don’t let me sleep.”
“What are you planning now?”
“Revenge, obviously.”
“What help do you want from us apart from food and shelter?”
“I doubt you have any more to offer.” Arden remarked
sarcastically.
The chief stared at him silently.
Arden kept on saying, “I don’t think you have sufficient men
and resources to fight the king’s army. The king’s army is huge and
well organized. King Raymond may be old but he had not lost his
bravery and wisdom. Even your land comes under his reign. If you
people had sufficient resources, then you must have raised a war
against him. It is obviously not easy for you and your people to
live in such a harsh environment, where nature itself cries on its
harshness.” Arden was growling like a junkyard dog.

104 I Still Crave For Him

“We are here because we like to live in obscurity. We have our

own identity.” Even as Chief spoke these words, he knew Arden
was right.
“The thing is, you people don’t have any identity and even you
are renowned only among your handful people. If you would have
the resources, then you would have usurped the king’s throne by
now.” Arden gave an exasperated sigh.
“I have seen the lust for power in your eyes.” Arden said
fearlessly.
“You are not only powerful, bold, and frank, but you are clever
too.” Chief seemed impressed by the Arden’s remark rather than
being offended.
Chief stared at Arden blankly, but his jaw was tightening.
“The thing is I am cursed to live here, otherwise, I would
have left this place year’s ago.” Chief said in a lilting French accent
fluttering his eyes at him.
“Are you French?” Arden wondered.
“Yeah, I was.” Chief gave a mysterious look.
“I was, until I died.”
Arden’s mouth remained open in surprise and disbelief.
“So, are you claiming yourself a ghost?” He said mockingly.
“I am even more dangerous than that, one who are designed to
kill and prey.” Chief was sincere, but he felt utterly empty.
Arden watched him in disbelief.
“I am a Vampire, the most deadly predator on the face of the
earth.” The chief revealed his true identity to him. Arden saw sharp
fangs emerging out of his jaw and his eyes turning slowly into
blood red. Shocked beyond belief, he could only stand there and
stare at him in utter horror.
“Don’t you fear me?” Chief incredibly looked at his tough face.
“I fear none. I don’t fear death or anything. Since my childhood,
the only thing I have been through is death and misery.” Arden

lifted his face and met his eyes. He tried to maintain a stoic look.
“My father died in a war. He was very brave and strong, but
died unnoticed.”
“Surely, he would have been, as you have got your courage and
power from him. I have never met a man whose heartbeat doesn’t
become uneven on my revelation. But you…. You are altogether a
different man.” Chief spoke to him calmly.
“But how did you die and became a Vampire?” Arden asked
him astonished.
“That’s a very long and centuries old story.”
“Did you say centuries old?” Arden couldn’t believe what he
had just heard.
“Yes, I am an immortal.” Chief confirmed.
“My name is Javon. I belonged to France but now I am trapped
here for more than hundreds year.”
“You are trapped?” Arden inquired further.
“Yes, I was a very wicked and thirsty Vampire. I drank and
annihilated villages all over this area. My unquenchable thrust
brought me a curse and trapped me here in this area.”
So now, you can’t leave this place?
“Yeah, I can’t leave this no-man’s-land.”
“Who cursed you?”
“It was tribal King Patrick, Raymond’s ancestor.”
“I have heard of Patrick. He was believed to be the very
powerful tribal king in the line of Raymond’s ancestors.
“No, he was not. He was as ordinary as a layman.” The chief
protested Arden’s statement.
“He used black magic to win over his enemies with help of his
witchy wife, who was a great sorceress by his side. He was nothing
without Elena, his witch wife. His wife helped him to trap me.”
“So in a way you are also an enemy of King Raymond.”

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

106 I Still Crave For Him

“I was right to call you a clever man, now you got my point.”
Javon gave him a devilish smile.
“Now, how do you quench your blood lust?”
“I just feed the handful people left in this land without killing
them and then I make them forget what had happened to them.”
“You mean a kind of mind control.”
“Yeah! I am a very powerful Vampire. Vampires gain their
powers by blood and I have drank so much that now I have more
power than any Vampire has.”
“So are there any other Vampires too?”
“Obviously there are, but not in this region, I am the only one
here.”
“When you are so much powerful then why don’t you free
yourself from this curse?”
“Patrick’s wife was a very powerful witch. Her spell was very
powerful and any other Vampire wouldn’t even have survived, but
I was harder to be destroyed. I thought her spell would go with her
after her death, but that witch had transferred her powers to her
bloodline.”
One doubt came in Arden’s mind now.
“You are suspecting my motives correctly.” Javon said as if he
was reading Arden’s mind.
“Do you have mind reading power too?” Arden asked
bewildered.
“Yes, I do have.”
“Fine, I wish to know that why you revealed your identity to
me only. What made you trust on me so readily?” Arden’s voice
was harsh.
“You are a clever man, but not that much as I had imagined
you to be.” Javon said in exasperation.
“When I can control and read somebody’s mind, then I can
better distinguish between my friends and foes too.”

“You need me and I need you, which make us perfect friends,

right?”
“But how could we help each other?” Arden asked.
“You need undefeatable power for revenge and overturn the
throne and I need my freedom. We, both, can get what we want if
we join our hands.” Javon held a vicious look.
Arden was still not sure about his idea.
“Let’s make it simple. With your normal humanly powers and
these handfuls of tired soldiers you can never win over Raymond
but if you can have supernatural powers of a Vampire then no
army would be able to stop you.”
“So, you want to give your powers to me?” Arden looked at
him incredulously
“Yes, now you understand but to get those powers you will
also have to be transformed into a Vampire.”
His words chilled Arden down his spine, but the chief Javon
was right, Arden had no other option left with him.
“What do you want in return?”
“My freedom..”
“How?”
“I want you to bring princess here to me. Right now she is the
only female heir in that bloodline. She can make me free from this
curse.”
“I know princess very well. She is not a witch like her
ancestress.”
“Are you kidding me? Of course, she is a witch. She may not be
aware of her powers, but it’s in her bloodline. She is the only one
who can grant me my freedom.”
“Done.” That day Arden made an evil deal with Javon.
Arden wasn’t sure that what he was going to do was right or
wrong. He knew he only had one option; he had to turn himself.
He already had animal instincts in him.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

108 I Still Crave For Him

Approaching near to him, Javon chuckled “Are you ready?”

Arden nodded his head in consent.
Javon, bit his own wrist and held it to the Arden’s open mouth
and let his blood venom run down his throat, simultaneously, Javon
bit his neck and drank down his blood. Arden was in excruciating
pain. He firmly gripped Javon’s wrist and drank it down, suckling
like a baby. He did it. He was turned.
The castle of King Raymond was overflowing with joy. His
daughter, Natalie, was just announced to be engaged with her
lover, George. The proud father had announced that he would feed
all the poor and homeless in the city for a month. Large vats filled
with lamb Biryani, a spicy and aromatic rice pilaf, overflowed
into the streets as beggars and street children flocked to castle’s
corridor to feast.
King Raymond and the new couple appeared on the balcony, a
few moments later, as cheers erupted from the throngs in the street.
King Raymond greeted everyone from the magnificent
balcony of his castle along with George and Natalie.
“I want all of you to bless my daughter and my son in law.
By the will and grace of God, George will be the greatest king,
the world has ever seen.” The proclamation of King Raymond was
cheered loudly by his subject.
Arden and his Vampire turned mates entered the castle from
the secret cave, which was known to a very less number of people
and sadly Arden was one of them. They waited for night to fall
and when darkness shrouded and everyone was falling asleep, they
reached to the gate of secret cave, which gets opened at the center
of the castle, near to the king’s chamber. This cave was dug for the
safe exit of the royal family, in case of any emergency or war, but
today it was used to defy its purpose.
Arden was right not to expect much security there as this cave
was meant to be kept secret. Arden and his mates monstrously and
greedily drained the blood of guards present over there.
They reached king’s living room; killing and sucking the

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

blood of whosoever came between their ways. Pandemonium had

already alerted the king of some danger.
Arden entered the king’s chamber, finding him standing by the
side of his bed with his long and shiny sword in one hand. The king
was utterly surprised to see him there.
“How in the name of God, are you still alive?” He roared.
“If you wish me dead then I assure you I am.” Arden replied
with a big grin on his face.
“No, this can’t be. ‘A walking dead.’ Legends say that one of the
walking dead was confronted by my forefathers. And he met his
fate by the hands of his wife, Elena.”
“Oh! I love the irony. Do you really think that Patrick and Elena
killed the one who was already dead?” Arden asked humorously.
“Thanks to you, I had the opportunity to meet the guy in person
and I assure you, he is still alive. I mean dead. Or whatever, you do
understand. And now I am also one of them.”
The king was terrorized beyond his wits. The sword fell from
his numb hand.
“I beg your forgiveness. You can have my throne. Just don’t do
anything to my daughter. If you have to kill, you should kill me. Just
spare her. I will have her married to you if you want.” The king pleaded.
“I needed to marry her to become the king of the land. But
with newfound power who is there to stop me.” Arden smirked.
“But I can promise you that the princess is not going to die
tonight. I have a promise to keep. Let’s see how many days she still
has to see? ”
Listening to the threat, made the king jump aside and grab
his sword. But this time, Arden was hundreds times stronger than
before. He got hold of the king and bit his neck from his poisonous
fangs. Then he happily drank king’s blood, which gave him the
satisfaction he had never felt before.
Scared and confused, you dashed into your father’s chamber.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

110 I Still Crave For Him

“Oh! My God..!!!” You shouted from behind.

Arden’s mouth was smeared with your father’s blood. He had
drained him to death.
“Hello my sweet princess, my wife, my queen.” He smiled at you.
Your heart dropped and now you were his bondage.
By now, I had reached in the room holding my sword. A life-
death struggle ensued between us. Arden gave me several bites
and in that struggle I was obvious to be defeated and that finally
happened.
Arden ended the struggle by goring a sword in my chest. I was
heaving heavily and finally with my last breath I closed my eyes
forever.
Your eyes were filled with tears. Arden dragged you by your
long hairs and then you were confined in your own living room.
Both, I and your father, were dead and you were left with no hope.
“Now, you and king’s throne is mine and mine only” Arden
chuckled and said loudly.
He was laughing madly. The newfound power and blood had
spoiled his already rotten mind completely.
For a moment, he had lost your sight, until he heard your last
words.
“I curse you! You will never rule. No one who doesn’t belong
to my bloodline will ever be able to rule this kingdom. It’s my curse
upon you. You abomination of nature.” Arden’s mouth remained
open in horror and astonishment as he saw you. You had already
stabbed yourself with a knife in your heart. Arden remembered
the words of Javon that you too were a witch, being a female from
the bloodline of Elena.
In the king’s room, I found myself lying on the ground in
excruciating pain. Technically, I was dead but, still I had revived.
During the struggle, there was a blood exchange between me and
Arden. I was alone in this pain as the change invaded my whole

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

Diving Into Past Life 111

body. At this point of the change, I was half unconscious and was
experiencing the most horrible nightmares ever.
This is a vampirism phenomenal. When someone sucks
your blood or you receive blood of someone, then the memories
between the two people always gets exchange.
Now, I knew what was happening to me, as I had visions of
Arden’s transformation and all that happed in no-man’s-land.
Yet, I too was a Vampire now, but in no way as powerful as Arden.
I secretly rose from my position and noticed the situation of
the castle. Most of the guards were dead.
I needed men to outnumber him. I saved all those who were
about to die with my vampire venom and included them in my
team. Soon, I had more number of people with me than the
number of men Arden had.
Again, a life-death struggle ensued between us. Your curse
worked and Arden got defeated, but by the time, most of my
Vampire mates were killed.
Your curse made the castle, go into ruins.
Days passed into years and years passed into centuries. A great
amount of time passed and this saga was engraved in history only,
but one thing didn’t pass with time and that was my love for you.”
George smiled softly and hugged Shreya.
“I love you George.” Her voice was desperate and tears filled
her eyes.
“We are eternal mates; even death couldn’t keep us apart.”
George let out a sigh of exasperation.
As softly as possible, Shreya looked at George and replied “we
can’t be eternal mates until I am a human.”

Chapter 6

The Deception

“I have finally decided that I want you to turn me.” Shreya

said to George as he entered their Grand Hills home. He was so
shocked he dropped the items he was carrying. Shreya smiled,
as she grabbed the rare opportunity to give him a shock and she
couldn’t help but laugh at George’s shocked expression.
“What brought this on?” George asked as his expression
darkened.
“I want us to really be together forever. So, I want to be a
Vampire, like you.” Shreya knew it wouldn’t be easy, but she had
thought it through and hoped he wouldn’t deny her request.
“Are you sure? This is forever, no going back. You would have
to leave your family behind eventually.”
“The only real family I have is my brother, Akhil. It will be
hard, but you’re worth it, I love you.”
“It’s a painful process lasting days, are you sure?”
Shreya closed her eyes for a moment and prayed for strength.
“I’m not a fan of pain, but I can endure if it means being with
you. I love you and I don’t want to have to leave you as I age and
die.” She said, trying to sound courageous
“Don’t worry about me. Do what’s right for you. I will love you
if it’s for twenty years or two hundred.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

The Deception 113

I don’t want you to feel obligated to do anything that you don’t

want to do.” George said as he put his hands to Shreya’s face.
“I really want this. “Shreya said as she hugged George, who
was still in a dilemma.
“When would you like me to do it?”
“Would NOW work?” Shreya cleared her hairs from one side
of her neck alluring him.
“How about a lovely human night together, then the turning? I
will call my vampire mates Eric and Frank. And our Vampire maid
Roswell can get everything ready for performing all the rituals.”
“Rituals ….? Sounds like quite a plan.” Shreya gave him a
questioning look.
George looked in her eyes and took some time before he
revealed his deep desire. “I want you back as my Natalie. It’s not
only me rather all the cursed spirits of your kingdom want that.”
“But how’s that possible?” Shreya gave him a surprising look.
“I have your past life body saved with me, as a mummy.”
George gave her a deep look.
“Oh, you loved me so much.” Shreya jumped on George,
kissing him.
“I want you only that matters to me,” whispered Shreya. George
quickly carried her to the bed.
While, Shreya had fall asleep; George, Eric, Frank, and maid
Roswell were meeting in the study to finalize the plans for the
Shreya’s turning.
After a day of restless sleep, everyone was up and ready to
perform the turning rituals.
The underground chamber where rituals were to be performed,
was located in the ruins of an old castle. It was decorated with
dark woods and masculine leather furniture. The chamber had the
scent of sandalwood and fresh flowers. There were various crystals
and floral decorations, purely for embellishment.

114 I Still Crave For Him

“Lie down Shreya and let’s get this happening.” George

announced as they entered the room.
“New Vampires are dangerous. You’ll be tied up until you can
feed without killing.” Eric restrained her by tying her up with some
metal chains.
Roswell was preparing Shreya for the turning. She told her
what to expect: extreme pain, constant nightmares for the first day,
and then extreme blood hunger throughout the process.
“Are you sure you are prepared, Shreya?” George asked.
“I am more positive than ever.”
“It’s not too late to forget this whole thing. You can still walk
away from this whole life forever.”
“I have nothing to go back to. I want to be with you for eternity.”
With a long sigh, she consented.
“It takes days to turn completely, you will be dead by the time
it will be complete.” Roswell whispered.
“Shreya, you know nothing. The first day will be filled with
horrible nightmares and so much pain you won’t be able to see
straight.” George said nauseatingly, rolling his eyes in anxiety.
“That is a chance you will have to take,” said Roswell instantly.
“Ugh…I told you guys that I am ready.” Shreya shook her head
in repulsion.
Shreya smiled. She couldn’t believe it was going to really
happen. It looked like it was going to work. Soon, she would be a
Vampire and moreover, her soul will be returned to her old body.
Shreya was lying chained to a bed with a red silk covering her.
She detected a body nearby her, covered with the same kind of
red silk. George had told her that it was her past life body, which
he had kept intact till now as a Mummy. George had told Shreya,
if she chooses to transfer her soul to her past body, then only she
could relieve the tortured soul of her father i.e. King Raymond.
Their union as George and Natalie was going to free the curse that
Arden had brought to their kingdom.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

The Deception 115

Shreya agreed to choose her past life body for George’s

happiness. The ceremony was going on until it got disturbed by
a loud unfriendly voice- ‘Stop it, Shreya! Please, stop it!’ Kunal
entered the old castle, a cave where Shreya was going through the
ritual. He could hear the screaming and smell the blood.
As Kunal entered the room, he could see Shreya was in the
corner, lying pale because of blood loss.
Shreya felt amazing as this voice belonged to Kunal. She had
never expected him to come here like this.
Kunal walked up the creaky old stairs to the room, where
Shreya was being tied.
“Kunal, how come you are here and who are you to stop me?”
Shreya asked Kunal in a single breath.
Kunal gave her a ghastly look.
“This dead body doesn’t belong to you, rather it belongs to Anna
who used to be your best friend and George’s lover.” Kunal told her.
“How do you know that?” Shreya asked him in shock.
“George is never going to turn you as a Vampire. He has brought
you here only for sacrifice, just to revive his beloved Anna.” In an
uncharacteristically soft voice, Kunal informed Shreya.
Before Kunal could say anything else, George shouted, “Kunal
was Arden in the past life and now he has gained his memories and
he wants to stop us.” George said with a touch of aversion in his
voice. Shreya was once again taken back.
The shock was too much for Shreya. She let out a sigh of
exasperation.
“Yes, George is right. I was Arden in my past life.”
Kunal confessed that he was Arden in his past life and a very
strong Vampire too, but he told her another version of the past life
story. According to Kunal, Arden and Natalie used to love each other
and George was having an affair with Anna. They wanted to usurp the
throne so they hatched a plan to kill the king and his heir, the princess.

They succeed in their plans and Arden was caught and banished from
their empire. Gaining his consciousness, he found himself in a snow
desert. Everything was frozen there. After losing Natalie, he had lost
the purpose of his life, so he traded his soul to an evil Vampire and
now he was strong enough to take revenge from George for what he
did. He first killed his love Anna to take revenge for his love Natalie.
Eric and Frank who used to be Arden’s companions, helped George,
whom he had promised to award high post in his ministry. They told
him Arden’s secrets after draining him empty. Arden left George in
charge of his recently transformed friends Eric and Frank. They fed
him with their blood and made him a strong Vampire. These three
conspired against Arden and finally killed Him.
Shreya was silent for a moment. It seemed that she had lived
through so much perplexity that now she had become clueless.
George looked up at Kunal with a murderous look.
Now, Shreya was in a dilemma whom she should believe and
whom to suspect. George asked Shreya, not to believe Kunal and
without wasting a single second he dug his fangs into her neck and
started draining her faster.
As he was draining her, she clearly had glimpses of his past life
and she applied her full force to free herself from George, as she
saw George making love with Anna. By the time, Kunal was there
to help her, a fiery battle started between Kunal and George, to
Shreya’s surprise, now Kunal was also a Vampire. Shreya felt that
George had already drained her so much and she was having very
less chances of survival.
Kunal and Stefan exchanged glances like planning for what
needed to be done.
“Feed on me.” Stefan, who had also come with Kunal, offered
Shreya his blood, by cutting his veins with a knife. She drank
greedily. Vampire venom was causing her endless pain.
The exchange was complete. His blood was working its way
through Shreya’s system and she had started feeling pain intensely.
She let out a sigh of ache.

The Deception 117

“I feel it. Oh my god..!! it hurts…. It feels like every nerve in my

body is on fire.” Shreya began clutching her stomach and moaned
as her pain intensified.
She strained against the steel chains, which bounded her until
she thought her blood would burst the bounds of her veins. She
pulled again and again and until she could strain, no more, until
she could only fall limply against her prison-links.
Her mind was fevered and her thoughts jumbled. She had to
escape somehow. She heard a terrorizing crash. She gasped and
turned her head aside, as a torrent of water poured from a fissure
in the rock above her head and shot in her face.
She turned her head and felt the metal tear from the altar. Her
head was free. Like a mad girl, Shreya tried again to lose herself.
This time she succeeded. Water dribbled from the spots where the
chains pulled free.
With a desperate intensity, Shreya made a superhuman effort
and pulled at the chains binding her wrists. The chains came apart,
tearing the flesh and leaving raw wounds, which were surprisingly
healing fast. Wincing at the pain, she placed her fingers on her
neck and felt the intense pain. After a few seconds of probing, she
twisted the nut, which gets separated from the bolt with a single
easy twist. She did the same with the chain binding her ankles--
and she was free!
Standing and controlling her motion, Shreya shouted ‘Kunal,
this time, let me take revenge for his betrayal’.
By the time, George was under the control of Kunal, who was
about to tear him down. Shreya shared a gaze with George. All
those happy moments which she had shared with him floated in
her mind making her eyes wet.
Surprisingly, she felt the same kind of feeling in George’s heart too
telepathically. This made Shreya stop taking any action against him.
She had pulled him from the gloom of the lonesomeness. She
had given him a new purpose in life. She had given him love and

restored his faith in humanity. George realized that she was his
light, his guiding angel.
He wanted to draw her to his chest and caressed her head
softly. He realized the she belonged to him only.
Their life had been happy. They had loved each other in
ways that was platonic yet passionate, distant yet close. She had
always been there for him and vice versa. He had never felt such a
connection with anyone before, not even Anna.
Shreya wanted to grow older, submitting to his protection, and
he wanted to spend his eternity protecting her. They were both
wanted and loved by each other.
Shreya felt the emotions of George, as he felt it. Her eyes were
getting wet with tenderness. George, held out his hands in a simple
but moving gesture of surrender and Shreya took them with her,
gently holding his hand.
Like Shreya, Kunal had also read her mind telepathically. The next
moment he dug his sword deep into George’s heart, the heart in which
Shreya had sensed true love feelings for her, just a moment before.
Furious, Shreya threw Arden into the fire bowl in no moment.
Meanwhile, the companions of Arden and George were fighting
with each other.
The whole place started to crumble and was getting destroyed.
Now, the survivors ran to save their lives instead of fighting.
Whatever was causing those crashing sounds was also weakening
the foundations of the castle. Water was beginning to pour in
torrent from many cracks.
The stairs to the floor of the underground chamber was around
thirty feet away from where the clash was happening, but even in
that short distance a rat race brewed.
Shreya watched everybody engaged in a pell-mell race for the
stairs and yet she refused to run. And hard at their heels came
another of the ear-splitting crashes. More chips flew and now tiny
streams of water leaped from cracks which appeared in the stone.

The Deception 119

Again, there was the roar, another crash, and Shreya moaned in
pain as a large chunk of rock struck her side and tore the flesh. The
water level rose another foot.
Her mind was fevered and her thoughts jumbled. She had to
escape somehow. That terrorizing crash was heard again.
Shreya was not sure about her future. Once outside she might
be killed either by George’s or Arden’s companions. But this place
was also getting destroyed and she was not safe here. Running, she
succeeded in getting out of that place.

Chapter 7

Only Love Is Immortal

The venomous intent look,

Overflowing with the,
Venom of the,
Centuries Past,
Of the tears,

That was about to fall,

Down his radiant skin.

As the sun sets,

She remembered the,
Surrender in his face,
Warped into,
A thousand emotions,
And the ashes consumed him.
As she watches, crying for,

Only Love Is Immortal 121

Her vampire lover.

She only wished the shadows,
Had taken her too.
For without him,
She was not truly immortal.

Shreya sat in George’s Grand Hills home in London, where

they had lived happily together for some time. Everywhere she
went, it reminded her of George. She knew it would, as she was
living in her husband’s home.
Shreya looked at herself in the mirror, checking out her new
fangs. It had been almost four weeks since her change, but she still
wasn’t used to seeing fangs on herself.
Shreya thought of her lover George, who was now far away
from her and apparently was gone forever. She felt a sense of loss,
deeper than anything she had experienced in her life. Four weeks
ago, she was with him in their bed and now, she was there alone.
He had laid her down on the bed many times in her life. They were
in love for more than one year, to be exact.
She always wanted to be in his arms, her cheek pressed against
his chest, and his heart pumping into her ear.
As her hand caressed her cleavage, she felt the coldness of the
ring that George had put on her finger, while proposing her in
the college farewell party. It was a precious platinum band with a
big precious ruby carved in it. It was the costliest gift she had ever
received from anyone.
She couldn’t tolerate living without him. She did not know
how she could live without him.
As the moon shone gently into her room, she whispered that
he was her light, her guiding star, her savior.
The bitter scene of her last memory as a human had been
etched in her mind forever. She had dreamt of it often. Gazing up

into the darkness of the night, she felt the bitter chill in the air, and
remembered the catastrophe in that castle chamber.
The house had started to feel lonely and empty, even with the
maid Roswell. Shreya missed seeing George every day.
Unbeknownst to her, she was gripped in the shadows. Her
head stretched heaven bound, while she dashed into the balcony
of her room. Her eyes searched desperately for some sign or noise
of life in the sky, but none could be found this night. Immersed in
her grave gazes and thoughtfulness, she sensed George’s touch on
her face as the cool breeze touched her face.
Shreya found her lips curving into a smile as she remembered
the feel of his arms on her waist. That was the last time she had
danced with him.
Shreya looked into the darkness. She wondered that she was the
last thing he saw before he passed away. Was his last memory of their
life together that of perplexed moments? He was simultaneously
full of love and agony before he drew his final breath.
Four weeks before, this morning, he had woken up to find her
asleep next to him, when she was still human. He always used to
wake up before her.
As she craved for him, her sense of loss intensified consume her
inside. She felt a twinge swell through her body, which dwindles
her. She tried to squeeze out the tears that she knew were there,
just waiting to spill out, but nothing came out of those lovely eyes.
For centuries, George had believed that Anna was his soul mate,
but Shreya’s true and innocent love had proved him wrong. Shreya
had telepathically seen their past life story in the mind of his love.
London 1350
Shreya, who was Natalie in her past life, was the only daughter of
a tribal king, Raymond, who had extended his own mighty kingdom,
right beside the lake and with an open view of the mountains with
the help of Arden – the valiant commander chief of his army.
Arden was in love with both Natalie and the throne.
King Raymond had announced Natalie’s marriage with Arden.
Natalie was not happy with her father’s decision as she loved
George, a minister in her father’s counsel.

(A Paranormal Love Story of a Vampire)

Only Love Is Immortal 123

She convinced her father to marry her to George and not to

Arden.
Natalie felt shocked when she came to know that George
was in love with her maid and best friend Anna. George rejected
Natalie’s love and king’s throne, just for a commoner, Anna. This
was humiliating for Natalie. Natalie’s royal and proud blood didn’t
permit her to accept her defeat. She got her best friend Anna killed.
George, who seemed unaware of Natalie’s cruel act, finally gave
his tacit acceptance to marry Natalie after Anna’s accidental death.
Arden came to know about Natalie’s marriage with George and
started a revolt. King Raymond exiled him and his accomplices to
no-man’s-land. Arden got turned into a vampire at that place and
returned to the kingdom as a horror.
He killed the king and Natalie killed herself fearing his wrath.
But George was clever enough to save himself and got one of Arden’s
vampires mates Eric by his side. It was Eric who had turned George.
George was actually aware of Anna’s murder by Natalie. He
already had plans to sacrifice Natalie to revive Anna. He killed
Arden but before he could execute his plan further, he came to
know about Natalie’s death.
Natalie’s curse had ruined their kingdom. Now, George was
left with no purpose rather than to wait for any reincarnation.
‘It was me, the real culprit of George.” Shreya said to herself.
She felt guilty from the core of her heart for what she had done
in her past life. It was she who had snatched George’s love from him.
“George, it was me who deserved death, not you,” she
whispered. Now, she had no complaint with George for trying to
sacrifice her life to revive Anna.
But, there was a part of George that, after spending so much time
with Shreya, at last had actually started loving her. She had heard his
last unspoken words which he wanted to speak just before being killed
by Kunal. She had glimpsed his true love for her in his fainting eyes.
She had seen the scars that he bore, in his heart, for deceiving her.
One in particular, she recalled with clarity –

The last words he had uttered to her telepathically were “I’ll be

back, my love.”
“You have to come back- for me, for us, for our love.” Shreya
whispered with tears rolling heavily in her eyes. Somewhere in her
heart, she knew one day he will be back because only love is immortal.
I still crave for him!
He crosses my mind, more than I breathe.
He was glittering and refreshing,
Dripping like cold dew in the morning.
He bared my soul with his Piercing and steady gaze,
Piercing my finely crafted shell to unleash this passionate woman, longing
to roam free.
Just one thought of him,
Takes my breath completely away.
I crave his mouth, his voice, and his lips.
Gently kissing me,
Whispering in my ear,
Telling me how bad I tried to resist him.
I crave the smell of him,
I crave the feel of him,
The feel of us intertwined for a pleasure filled periods of time. we used to
begin the early parts of the morning,
Skin to skin is how we used to end the late parts of the night.
I crave his words so sweet on my lips,
I crave his fingers knotted around my hair,
I crave the salty sweet taste the scent of his sweat,
I crave to lay with him wrap me in his love.
Caress me with his lust and desires.
I crave his dazzling skin.
And his intoxicating scent,
Craving him, I’m in love like a broken rose.

Epilogue
Emptiness,
Sadness,
Hollowness,
Madness,
Has taken her captive.
In her ear,
She could hear,
Him softly whisper.
In the river,
Of her silent tear,
Can see his Perfect Smile.
She could feel him very near,
But in reality,
He was nowhere.
He was only in her obsession,
Causing a great depression.

Shreya visited the old wretched castle, where all had begun.
Where, she had ruled with her father in the past and dreamt first
time to live happily with George. Everywhere she went, it reminded
her of her past. She knew it would be as it was once her home.
But now it was in ruins. With the wealth left by George, she
had bought that land and now was renovating it for the past four
months. She thought if she could get some of the parts repaired,
she could live in her past.

126 I Still Crave For Him

The small old times place they had lived in was now a large
city with only a few original buildings, which were turned into
historical sites for tourists.
She had lived lonely for long period. She decided to call her
brother, Akhil and see if he was okay.
“Hello, Akhil..!! It’s me, Shreya.” She smiled wider. Her teeth
flashed.
For a moment, Akhil was silent. He was clearly stunned by her
call for which he was desperately waiting for so many months.
“Shreya? …Where were you? All this time…? He asked with
pauses.
Shreya began to realize her mistake of ignoring her brother.
“And why did you change your number without informing me?”
Akhil asked, trying to sound angry but he sounded pathetic
instead.
“I just wanted to live for some time in my own ways. I wanted to
check on you, see if you are okay.” Came a weak and painful voice.
Shreya paused briefly to consider how humiliating the next
few minutes would be.
Any hopes of seeing his sister soon seemed to be quashed.
“How could I be fine when I don’t have any whereabouts of
my little sister?” His slurred words were heartbreaking for Shreya.
“I know. That’s why I called, I just needed to hear your voice,”
pain started to set in again.
“I will call you again.” As Shreya hung up the phone, she
smiled forcefully, knowing that someday she would be with his
brother and friends again. Or the smile was more for the reason
that somewhere George might have reincarnated and she would
find him in a few decades.
