How to move to Ha Long (Ngân Hà)

And to continue our group's presentation I will introduce to you a few means of transportation
that we can use to move to Ha Long.

First of all, we will start with cities in the North, typically Hanoi. Below are some popular ways
to travel to Ha Long, trusted and chosen by many tourists.
The first is to go by coach. Coaches are considered the most familiar and cheapest means
of transportation to Ha Long. The route will start from My Dinh, Gia Lam or Luong Yen bus
station and stop at Bai Chay bus station in Ha Long city. The average travel time is between 2.5
and 4 hours. Ticket prices range from 100,000 VND to 200,000 VND depending on whether the
car has seats or a sleeper car. Traveling by coach is a unique way to experience local culture.
The second is to go by motorbike. In this way, you can choose the following two main
routes:
- Route 1 is about 155 km long: You can start from Hanoi - Sai Dong junction and finish in Uong
Bi - Ha Long.
- Route 2 is about 160 km long: You can start from Noi Bai Airport - Bac Ninh and finish in
Uong Bi - Ha Long.
With a time of 4-5 hours, you can set foot in Ha Long. But traveling by motorbike is often very
tiring, and the distance is quite dangerous. Therefore, to avoid risks, very few tourists choose to
travel this way.

Next, if you live in one of the southern cities, typically Ho Chi Minh City. You can choose one
of the following two ways to travel
The first is to go by plane. This form of transportation is very convenient and fast, the
flight time only takes 2 hours and 5 minutes. Currently, all four domestic airlines operate the Ho
Chi Minh - Van Don route. Airline ticket prices to Van Don range from 299,000 VND to
900,000 VND (ticket prices do not include taxes and fees and may change at each check time)
The second is to go by car. Ho Chi Minh City is 1,721 km from Ha Long city, and if you
go by car, it will take about 33 hours. The route will be as follows: you start from Ho Chi Minh -
National Highway 14 and finish in Northeast Provinces - Ha Long. This form of transportation
will take a long time and because the distance is very long, if you are not in good health, you
should not choose to go by car.
