7+ years of software, information architecture, data ML engineering design experience
7+ years as a software or data engineer
Education: Required: Engineering or other numerate degree
Preferred: Masters in Engineering, Technology or Computer Science

Skills
Essential:

- Awareness of the complexity of architecture in a large retail organization like Nike

- Senior experience in building and optimizing big data & ML pipelines, architectures and data
sets.
- Understanding and experience in architecture principles (design first, control, consistency of
design, reusability etc.)
- Information architecture (hands- on experience) as the resource would be working mostly
building canonical data models, migration, and divesture of obsolete data products
- Tech concepts that would be relevant would-be event-based architecture for real time
reporting, awareness of ML principles, depth of data engineering
- Software engineering background would be good to have together with engineering excellence
mindset
- Experience with Kafka, AWS, K8s, data-bricks, Spark are technical skills is recommended

• Technologies: AWS, Hive, Airflow, Jupyter Notebooks, SageMaker, REST API's, Python,Java,Scala
• Technical stack: PySpark, JSON/OAS,Kafka
• Affinity and experience with designing cloud based big data & ML solutions
• Affinity with documentation tools like Confluence & LucidChart

Preferred:

• Extended Software Developer,Data Migration and Information Architecture experience

• Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable big data stores (Kafka, Kinesis).
• Technical: Experience with DevOps processes, including source code management (Git), automated build
(Maven) and Deployment
