1.0 PROJECT OVERVIEW

The purpose of this project is a group project to create an assembly design by using two
types of machines which are CNC turning machine and CNC milling machine. The maximum
size of the project is within the given size raw material. We had decided to take the Thor’s
hammer as our idea for project concept. This is because the design of the hammer can be
produce by using CNC milling machine and CNC turning machine. We do use CAD software
to sketch the design which is CATIA software. Based on the design that has been created is
require to generate the program manually without using any CAM software. This group project
is also to help student remember the skill that has been learn before.
