There was a situation where I faced the most stressful situation in my academic life, the

situation was there was a project given by a faculty which consisted of a group which had 5
members in it We have to propose a new business idea after evaluating the pros and cons
and if it would be successful on paper or not. we got this project around our semester exam
time so as everyone was busy studying and you know or completing their academic work 1
of the group member suggested that we should copy a idea from our seniors who had
already done the same assignment and we know that it would be already successful as the
seniors got a great review, The group member that suggested this also said that we
wouldn't have to do any work and focus on our academics as everyone wanted to score
good and we would get handed the full business plan, so eventually apart from me everyone
else agreed on this plan and they decided that it would be best if we do this. I felt it was
ethically wrong so I didn't answer on this idea, after I took some time to myself and thought
of a new business idea which wasn't already presented after some thinking I came up with a
new business idea which was to make bricks from medical waste, I looked into the science
of how to clean the medical waste so that it can be turned into bricks and I suggested that
idea to my fellow teammates and to my surprise everyone loved that idea as it was a very
new concept, and after the COVID. The medical waste has drastically increased because
everyone started using disposable gloves gowns fortnight hair Nets everything, so lastly, we
worked on the new idea and didn't copy from our seniors no matter what situation was.
the moral was I was confused if choosing a idea which has worked before with lesser effort
is correct or emerging with a new idea without any guarantee of success and which will take
time is better this was the greatest ethical complexity that I faced in my academic life. What
I took away from this incidence was not to rush into the thinking and do something
unethical just because you think you don’t have the time to think about it and from that day
onwards I told my team that whatever we will do in our life being unethical wont be one of
them.
This is the most stressful situation of my life
