Asia, and South Asia. We are launching our North America entity in Washington DC, in August 2023
and hiring for the North America entity.

policy and regulation, energy market analysis, energy efficiency and demand-side management,
renewable energy, and energy storage.

General Role Summary: *These positions are contingent upon contract award and approval.

The Climate Technical Specialists will play a vital role in addressing the urgent global challenges related
to climate change. The ideal candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following sectors:
Article 6, Climate Risk – Finance, Plastics, GHG accounting for manufacturing and financial institutions,
Carbon Sequestration, hydrology/geology, and Green Hydrogen. You will be responsible for providing
technical guidance, conducting research, analysing data, and liaison with the clients. This position
requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for environmental
sustainability with the required technical expertise.

Location: Remote, with few days travel to client HQs

Job Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities

➢ Conduct research and stay informed with the latest developments in the specific sector(s) you
specialize in (Article 6, Climate Risk – Finance, Plastics, GHG accounting for manufacturing and
financial institutions, Carbon Sequestration, Hydrology/Geology or Green Hydrogen)
➢ Provide technical expertise and guidance on climate-related projects, initiatives, and policies
➢ Analyze climate data, perform calculations, and generate reports on emissions, risks, or other
relevant indicators
➢ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate climate-related considerations into
various business functions and decision-making processes
➢ Engage with stakeholders, such as government agencies, industry associations, and research
institutions, to build partnerships and leverage resources for climate initiatives.
➢ Provide training and support to colleagues and stakeholders on climate-related topics

Selection criteria:

Requirements:

➢ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, engineering, finance, or


related disciplines). Advanced degree is highly desirable.
➢ Proven experience and expertise in one or more of the following sectors: Article 6, Climate
Risk – Finance, Plastics, GHG accounting for manufacturing and financial institutions, Carbon
Sequestration, or Green Hydrogen.
➢ Strong knowledge of climate change science, policies, and international frameworks (e.g.,
Paris Agreement, Sustainable Development Goals, GHG protocol).
➢ Experience in analyzing climate-related data, conducting assessments, and developing
mitigation or adaptation strategies.
➢ Familiarity with relevant methodologies, standards, and tools related to climate change
assessment, reporting, and management.
➢ Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex scientific or technical
information.
➢ Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to
non-technical audiences effectively.
➢ Proficiency in data analysis software, spreadsheet applications, and other relevant tools.
➢ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
➢ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and strategically.
➢ Commitment to environmental sustainability and a passion for addressing climate change
