Installation & Setup
Overview
Installing Motion is simple. The script was developed
with you in mind. There are no extra files or folders —
all you need is the Motion.jsxbin
Mac
Close Adobe After Effects if open. Navigate to your
Finder > Applications folder > Adobe After Effects >
Scripts > Script UI Panels > Open the downloaded Mt.
Mograph - Motion folder, select the Motion.jsxbin and
place it in the Script UI Panels folder. Restart Adobe
After Effects > On the Menu Bar select Window > And
scroll down to Motion.jsxbin and select it. A dockable
panel will open into your Workspace and the Motion
script is ready to go.
Windows
Close Adobe After Effects if open. Navigate to your
Program Files > Adobe > Adobe After Effects >
Support Files > Scripts > Script UI Panels > open the
downloaded Mt. Mograph - Motion folder and select
the Motion.jsxbin and place it in the Script UI Panels
folder. Restart Adobe After Effects > On the Menu Bar
select Window > And scroll down to the Motion.jsxbin
and select it. A dockable panel will open into your
Workspace and the Motion script is ready to go.
Important
If you cannot locate the Script UI Panels folder. Create
a new folder in the listed OS hierarchy. Name the folder
accurately with no extra spaces or letters. Restart
After Effects and your copy of Motion should work. If
problems persist, we’ll work to resolve the issue.
System Requirements
Windows
To run Motion script on a Windows OS a Intel Core2
Duo or AMD Phenom II processor or better is
recommended. Support for Windows 7 with Service
Pack, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. At least 4 GB
of RAM is recommended for smooth expression
calculation and performance.
Mac
To run Motion on a Mac OS a multi-core Intel processor
with 64-bit support is recommended. Mac OS X v10.6
- v10.9 is also recommended. At least 4 GB of RAM is
recommended for smooth expression calculation and
performance.

Providing free educational resources and content is

Language Support
Currently Motion is only offered for After Effects
software running in English. Due to the large amounts
of code — integration with other Languages is not yet
offered. Script updates will be sent out for free as more
Languages are supported.
Software
Motion has been tested in After Effects CS5, CS5.5, CS6,
CS6 Extended, CC and CC (2014). Older versions are
not recommended and may not support Motion. Use at
own risk.
Motion is not only a great tool, but also a way to
support future Mt. Mograph content and tutorials.
