 Define the following photo compositional rules. Do a search online for “photography circle
composition” or just look at the photos that come up and make your own definition.
 Circle: It draws the eye towards the middle of the frame and concentrates your attention.
 Color: It can evoke emotion and influence how people respond to images
 Curve: make an image easy to look at by leading the viewer's eye through the frame.
 Line: Use of lines to create visual interest and convey a message in an image.
 Diagonal Line: The elements in the image are organized based on a diagonal line.
 Repetition: using repeating shapes or a repetitive pattern inside the frame as part of the
composition.
 Texture: the visual quality of the surface of an object, revealed through variances in shape, tone and
color depth. Texture brings life and vibrance to images that would otherwise appear flat and
uninspiring.
 Find examples from the internet that display the above composition principals.
